Solano County Strike Team 2350C composed of two Fairfield units along with Rio Vista, Dixon and Vacaville had a very busy morning. These units were part of protecting a neighborhood in Montecito CA. In the early morning hours The Thomas Fire makes it over a ridge down into a neighborhood. Solano County 2350C along with other units in division MM sprung into action. With aggressive firefighting tactics, they were able to save multiple homes. Over these past four months We have endured early morning late/sleepless nights and being pushed past our mental and physical capacities and couldn’t have done it without the support of each other, our families and our cadre that would not let us quite. Become part of the @vacavillefiredepartment and @vfalocal3501 have been a dream come true. We have all come together as a family and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of men to go through this together with! You guys will always be my brothers and will do anything for you’ll Alvin, Bev, Vanilla pony, chicken Chau, little sherm, papa lee, and Denver. It is truly an honor to call myself a VACAVILLE FIREFIGHTER (probationary) the academy was the preseason and we made the roster and the next 14 months will be more challenging but we are all up for it and are not going to be hitting the breaks. Here’s to 27+ years of continuous training, learning , growing , giving back to the community and becoming the best VFD Firefighter that I can be.
