How the spirit of the desert took me over
And moon's spell took me further away from my faith in the herd
How the incompleteness of my heart grew
And no other half completed this half
How I stood and saw
The earth underneath my feet, gradually devoiding of support
And the warmth of my partner's body
Could not satisfy my body's fruitless expectation
Which summit? Which peak?
Shelter me, you melancholic lights!
O bright houses of doubt,
On whose sunny rooftops
The washed clothes sway
Embraced by fragrant smokes.

All day
All day
Abandoned
Abandoned
Like a cadaver in water
I was floating towards the most horrid cliff,
Towards the most abysmal sea caverns,
And the most carnivorous fish.
And my fragile vertebrae
Were pulsating with a foreboding of
Death.

I could not
I could not anymore
The sound of my foot steps coming from denial
And my despair wider than my soul's patience
And that spring, and that green delusion
Passing over the hatch,
Was speaking thus to my heart:
"Look! You never advanced,
You sank."
