The future for Vegas and Pete
WARNING. I'm having a lot of VegasPete thoughts and I need a place to put them.
TL;DR Version: Let VegasPete be messy! Let VegasPete be kinky! Only fic can save us! (Probably.)
ONE: I really dig @lutawolf's take on VegasPete in the book vs. VegasPete in the drama. Luta argues that book!Vegas is "basically a criminal sociopath" and that this is one of the key differences between book vs. drama Vegas. (Read the link for the full take.) I definitely buy this take on book!Vegas in the first half-ish of the book's story. I'm not sure the canon continues to support this interpretation towards the end of the book though? I'm also not sure the authors see Vegas this way. It's hard to say, but I suspect the authors' inclination is towards some sort of redemption arc. The question is, what kind of redemption arc? There are some really annoying ways this could go. It'll be interesting to see where the new VegasPete story (supposedly coming from the authors soon) will take the characters.
TWO: Overall, I find the drama version of the story more interesting. It feels like we're getting more developed and nuanced versions of the characters overall. (Although, obvs, it's hard to give the book a fair shake when you're relying on online translations.) The drama version of VegasPete gives us more of a history and context for the characters, which is important. We understand where they come from, what's shaped them, how they might be uniquely suited to one another.
THREE: BUT... here's the piece I think is crucial. The history and context the drama provides should not be over-utilized to "explain" or pathologize their kinks. Instead, I see this history as a) context for their individual weaknesses, struggles, and needs. And, b) context for their current inability to safely/sanely acknowledge and act upon their kinks. They each have so much fucked up baggage dragging them down. It is a huge obstacle to their ability to understand themselves, communicate with others, act in healthier ways, or form safer kinky relationships.
FOUR: This is also why I'm so drawn to this couple and so interested in where they go next. An important question to me is: What does it mean to try and "fix" Vegas and Pete as characters? Or, to try and "fix" their relationship? Or to give them a happy ending? What does that look like? I think the authors, the drama team, and fans are all going to have very different and competing takes on this. My take?Within this storyworld, no one's going to run out to get therapy. This is still a very violent and dysfunctional environment. Within that context, how do Pete and Vegas muddle through? I don't think their version of a happy ending is any kind of domestic fluff. I think it's something a lot more complicated. I'm not saying they can't have happiness. I'm saying that I don't think falling on stereotypical happy ending tropes (babies and domesticity) is the answer. Babies and domesticity can be interesting story elements to include, but they aren't a magical balm which should be used to erase kinks, erase the characters' histories, etc. This couple has to work on a lot of stuff within and between themselves if they're going to stay together and not self-destruct.
AN ASIDE: Does anyone else remember fic from the show Oz? (YES I AM OLD.) I feel like Tobias Beecher and Chris Keller may offer some interesting parallels and contrasts here.
FIVE: The final VegasPete scene in the drama makes me nervous. It's just so fluffy and domestic. Yes, it's very cute, but how did these characters get here? Is one month in a hospital enough for this kind of domesticity and affection? What happened to make this possible? Honestly, I don't buy it. There might be a fic out there which could convince me, but I haven't read it yet. Instead, I'm nervous that the drama's solution is to skirt all the issues and just throw family and a dead dad at the problem. As if that alone just magically "fixes" everything. And somehow Vegas is just soft and cuddly now? No! That dude is fucked up. Yes, he's had a big scare and he's learned some important things, but that's step one in a complicated journey. Also, Pete is not a martyr or a gentle fawn. He has his own forms of masking and survival. He has his own coping mechanisms. He's also very skilled at his job. I don't think the Pete's future is one where he just becomes domestic and plays house mom for Macau and Venice. If he's a metaphorical hedgehog, then he's got his own shit to work through too!
SIX: Ultimately, I think the drama version of VegasPete is easier for me to work with and to see a future for than the novel's version. However, I really don't think that future should be one where they leave their kinks or their baggage behind. I think the pairing works best when Pete and Vegas have a lot of baggage, are also kinky, and are trying to figure out what all of that means. I think their future involves them trying to disentangle their issues from their kinks. I'm not sure they'll be 100% successful at that, but the more interesting part is the attempt and the ongoing work. This is also why I think the more satisfying versions of VegasPete's future might be found in fic, rather than in a season two or a new piece of the novel. I'm not sure I trust the drama or the novel to fully follow through on the story they've started. The ending of the VegasPete story in the drama and the books give us hints that both book and drama canon may opt to go for a more superficial ending. Fic, however, has more freedom to be messy, sexy, and kinky in the ways that VegasPete seem destined to be messy, sexy, and kinky. But who knows, maybe we'll get a new installment of the book or the drama and they'll surprise me!
--- YES, this is overly long. YES, I am epically overthinking this. I don't care. I have a lot of feels and I need to process them somewhere.
Also please, for the love of god, PLEASE feel invited to send me fic recs. I'm reading any VegasPete I can get my hands on right now.

Vegas Being The Sadist Of Kinnporsche Ep 11-12
Tumblr media
Image brought to you by @lannathel
Unless you are looking, you might not realize that there is a D/s or S/m element to the VegasPete story. There is though and it starts with Vegas' as Dom/Master in Ep 10. Which I briefly cover here. We start getting a much larger over view in Ep 11 which can be found here, here, and here. It's in Episode 11 that we see Vegas calling Pete a pet. I've seen a lot of people not understand this relationship so let me break it down.
A pet slave relationship is a specific type of BDSM arrangement between a type of Dom called a Trainer and a type of submissive called a pet. This type of submissive is typically considered a slave. It's just that the slave voluntarily takes on animal status. Such a scenario can be just for sexual scenes where the submissive assumes animal mannerisms and behavior. Which is considered pet play and is not apart of the lifestyle at all times. In some cases the arrangements can dehumanize the slave outside erotic role play, in a 24/7 pet lifestyle.
The arrangement can vary greatly between the individuals involved but usually requires obedience and unconditional love from the pet. Other requirements can include eating from a bowl, crawling on all fours and even relinquishing rights to all possessions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Vegas is talking to the bodyguard, when he first shows up to the safe house. He tells him "It's alright, I have someone to keep me company" He doesn't say pet. Not to the bodyguard, because be damned if the bodyguard views pete that way. This is private. That was my first clue that Vegas doesn't really view pete as a pet. That being said, through out the episode Vegas is trying to reinforce the pet treatment. By repeating the name over and over as well as trying push him as a pet in other ways. It's important to note that none of this is consensual by Pete. He is actually very defiant which I applaud. A sub is not a doormat, not even a slave and they should be given the choice. If a slave find fulfillment from being completely subservient then absolutely. Still this life style, no matter if it's one you enjoy, should be a choice one gets to make.
Tumblr media
Now Luta, why are we looking at Vegas feeding pete the pill. Because this is when they go back to D/s. See prior to pete's betrayal, they had as soft non-sexual D/s relationship. We see it from the start of episode one, in the way that Pete describes Vegas, it continues each episode they interact. This is especially noticeable in the temple scene, if one just watches with the eye of looking for it. Back to this scene, in the moment that Vegas loses his anger. We see them go back to how they were before. Only more honest and with an acknowledgement of the mutual attraction.
Pete chooses to be submissive again and we see Vegas recognize this. We see Vegas stop using pet but instead going back to using pete's name. He brings him food in an actual bowl. He even eats from the bowl to prove to pete, he no longer views him as a pet.
Episode 12 has Vegas coming in and them talking about the blood type book. At one point Vegas gets mad and kicks the book. This is when you know things have really turned around. Pete isn't upset, he is startled and immediately looking for the cause of Vegas upset. He is not combative as he would have been prior to the pill scene. He is once again submissive. Looking for a solution rather than instigating.
Tumblr media
Vegas isn't surprised to see Pete out of cuffs, he is surprised to see him showing up to be there for him. It's at this point that he makes a decision. You see him crying, look at Pete and stop crying, drinks him in and then cries harder. He knows this is going to hurt but pete is his. The whole act of guiding him back to the bedroom was an act of D/s. Then he laid it in Pete's lap.
Tumblr media
Pete had to consent to this, because Vegas would have kept walking other wise. For pete to truly be his, he must willingly give himself and Pete does. Boy does he. After he initiates the kiss, he then goes into full submissive mode. It's a different type of submission then the sub worshiping the Dom. This submission is more about allowing the Dom full control, waiting on the command or asking for a command. For the Dom, this is an ego boosting high. It's knowing you have full control and knowing every reaction the submissive has, the bliss you send them to, is 100% you. This type of submission is about a sub 100% giving themselves up to someone else and the confinement. The allowance of making very few decisions. Typically both Dom and Sub will hit a head space in this type if sexual situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pete willingly submits and askes Vegas to confine him. This is a big deal, not only to pete but for Vegas too. What's more, Vegas recognizes it. Vegas has been in control this whole time but he thanks Pete for his submission by kissing his hands. It's striking in the difference of how he is with everyone else. Not only am I sure that he has never thanked anyone for their submission before. He has never made love to anyone but Pete before. He would never allow someone to touch and be close to him the way he pulls Pete to him. Pete will always be the exception. Why? Because Vegas wants and needs love, he desperately is looking for something that is his. Yet, he isn't an easy man to understand or love. He knows that and yet, Pete is his match. Pete can see all his ugly and still submit. He can take all of Vegas' pain and still comfort him. It's an unconditional love that Vegas is fully aware he will find no where else.
Below are just my added two cents
You know why the love scene between them is so memorable? It’s because we are seeing it from Vegas’ point of view and he is capturing moments to remember. Like snapshots. Kissing Pete’s neck, kissing down his back to his ass, pete handing him the rope/submitting, the knotting the wrists, then kissing his hands in appreciate, taking his pants off and entering for the first time. Sweet kisses, breathing him in, and coming, while head tucked into Pete's throat. Memorizing the soft kisses while coming down so that even though their bodies are disengaging, they aren’t. The Pete’s beautiful smile. We see Vegas smile back and then he pauses to look at him, he’s looking at him as if memorizing every facial feature.
Huge shout out to @ellaspore @akitbeast and @slangerogkatter for proof reading and helping me edit.

Kinnporsche Notes and thoughts Episode 12
This started out as a way for me to keep notes. Something to look back on when writing my posts. One day I was going to skip writing them and I got messages. I realized that this was something personal and special that we bonded over. Thank you for your friendship and support 💜💜💜
We start off with Porsche dropping Chay off at school. It's a beautiful moment. I am surprised that Porsche is missing something is wrong. Though likely putting it down to a new school.
Chay is every break up MOOD. Have we not all been there at least once. Okay maybe not all of us but a majority. Emotional over load, run away, and change hair. There is a check list I'm sure.
I love how Pol still treats Porsche like Porsche but the new guy treats him like he is the boss.
Where is Kinn? Kinn didn't take bodyguards? Then he is up to something he doesn't want the to know about. I do think some of this is motivated by concern.
"Arm, code red" Arm immediately stands up and goes away. Remember when I said that the main bodyguards started treating Porsche more as a boss long ago. They are completely loyal to him. Kinn knows it too. That's why he trusts these guards the most too.
"Kinn, Are you cheating on me" Kinn would cut a nut before he cheated on Porsche. It's sad that Tawan has caused these insecurities. Though, I truly believe the big motivation is more concern.
His button has a mic. Hahaha. I put money on that being Porsche's doing.
Look at the dude flirting with Kinn. Kinn immediately looks uncomfortable and his eyes shift quickly. He knows either Porsche is listening or that someone who will report to Porsche is!
Smart man Kinn. He's like, we just not gonna say shit.
I love the coconuts. They have codes and their not afraid to use them!
Look at Kinn's face when Porsche is brought up. He has made sure its blank, with only a little anger showing through.
But then he inhales through his nose and swallows. This is the moment he has to deal with this and book it home.
Kinn made a half ass excuse backed with authority and booked it.
First thing to notice is that Pete searched the room to find that book. So he had to see those bolt cutters right? I sent the picture to the electrician who verified that it does in fact look like a bolt cutter.. The only reason he gave me for why Pete wouldn't use them "hell, he is a glutton for punishment, clearly"
We are about to deep dive into some multi-layers. "Where did you get that" and Pete replies with sass "I went to buy it." Once Vegas lost his anger, Pete once again became himself. What's more Vegas is amused and plays back "That book doesn't suit an idiot like you"
Look at Pete though, he is not appreciative of this comment at all. "Idiot, that's you" Again Pete is just being himself with Vegas. Back to their normal selves.
I am not going to go too deep into the blood types here. As @biochemjess has pointed out here. It's just sugar on the blood. I do think what's important to the conversation to know that Pete is O and Vegas is AB. One can give and the other can receive. The other can't receive what the other can give.
Vegas is staring at the hedgehog. When Pete calls his name, Vegas immediately shifts his body to face Pete. "What's your blood type" "AB" and Pete smiles and goes, "that's so cool, I wish I were AB" why? He hasn't yet read about AB but he wants to be it? Because he wished that could be the same? That they could equally give and receive?
Vegas finds Pete amusing because he doesn't get it yet. Then he asks Pete what his blood type is and it's O.
We find out that AB is peculiar, he looks open on the outside but is actually closed on the inside. Also difficult to understand emotionally. Volatile. And Pete says "this is so accurate" which amuses Vegas.
Pete knows Vegas. Do you really think he would know him so well, in such a short period of time, if not paying attention?
After Pete points out the book is Vegas' we see Vegas staring at the hedgehog. This is when we can see a change in his body language.
He leans forward to look closer in the cage. Vegas gets pissed at sensitive. Why? He has been calm and humorous up to this point. He says "whose weak" He is worried about his pet and is afraid to show it. Pete says "sensitive not weak, you are in need of love"
Vegas says "fucking leave it alone" and kicks the book. Why the mood change? Several reasons. His pet, one of only a few things he loves is not well. The other is Pete and Pete is simply on vacation.
Vegas has left bolt cutters you guys. He is simultaneously waiting 9n Pete's escape at the same time he is dreading it.
Pete is confused. He's looking around to see where the change is coming from. We see Vegas looking at the hedgehog. Pete looks at Vegas then the hedgehog, narrows his eyes and tilts his head as if thinking.
Porsche waiting at the window in his bodyguard uniform. Kinn is approaching hesitantly. His face already showing concern. He is unsurprised to be pushed away. He is clearly upset when he asks what's wrong. He already knows. Otherwise he would react with confusion and anger but instead he is trying to give off calm.
He's a man walking a tight rope and knows it. "Do I look like a fool" "What are you thinking" are you seeing it. He's being calm and soothing cause Porsche is a ticking Bomb he can't let go off.
Let me just say that Kinn IS nailing the Dominant right here. He is in the wrong and he is owning it. He is letting Porsche vent and communicate but he is walking him back, enclosing him. While keeping his tone controlled and moderate. It says, I am confident. I fucked up but I'm still here, I still have you, and I'm confident I can fix this.
Chan only addresses Mr. Kinn. And blocks Porsche. This makes me nervous guys. Something about this seems not right.
Tricking Porsche to work there and he knows about the car crash. Kinn is nervous.
The story doesn't add up. You put Porsche in a dangerous job to care for him and his brother? He might make more money but how are they having a better life... Doesn't add up daddy.
Kinn puts a hand on Porsche to remind him who he is talking to. Porsche pushes back, saying he knows but he will say his peace.
Kin sees how angry Porsche is. "I think you went to far" also reminder I'm on your side Porsche. Korn "Yes, I think so too" code for I didn't know my son's would get so attached.
Porsche tells daddy to shove it. Kinn tries to stop him. Daddy tells Kinn to go.
Once again when hurting Vegas heads to Pete. Pete though hurt doesn't hesitate to sit up and help. He isn't surprised the hedgehog is sick.
There have been so many guards but now there are none? Why? Vegas could be lying but he hasn't been lying to Pete since everything changed.
Now follow me. Last time Vegas was really upset he left a belt but he was waiting for Pete because he realized he left the belt. So do you really think he doesn't know he left a key. He also told Pete there are no guards. Who he probably sent somewhere so that Pete could escape. He's familiar with Hedgehogs and knows a vet isn't going to help at this point. Probably realized it earlier in the day. He is giving Pete the opportunity to escape. Maybe he thought he hadn't used the cutters because of the guards?
And maybe he was right because why else has Pete not used the cutters but now uses the keys?
Reminder. Again. Pete is not a super sweet nice guy. He only gives a shit about the select people he cares about. If you keep making him sweet, you are going to miss the real significance if Pete. He loves Vegas.
Vegas is not surprised that Pete is free. Only that Pete is coming to his side. "He is dead"
Pete inches closer and then puts his hand on Vegas' leg. Offering support and it breaks Vegas. I swear that I think that night when Vegas removed his last mask , that he well and truly removed them. Vegas is just him with Pete. Again, being vulnerable does not strip Vegas of his Dom status. I am vulnerable with my subs and none of them have ever thought less of me. That is not what makes me a Dom.
I love that when Vegas cries, Pete tears up. Their pain is shared. Then Vegas looks at Pete, really soul deep looks. For a moment everything is quiet like the pain is forgotten and then suddenly Vegas' face is etched with intense pain. Like he just realized something.
When Pete hands Vegas the flower. We can see they are sitting much closer together.
Vegas stands and waits on Pete. When he walks away, he has no doubt Pete will follow... Pete is on vacation. He isn't here forever but in this moment he chose to be there.
"Why didn't you run away" and Pete lies "I don't even know"
My dad had me take care of the Hedgehogs since little. One by one they all died until one left. "He still left me too" "I didn't even get to name him" why? He should have had time. This is a statement of regret. He thought by not naming him he would be less attached and he realizes he was wrong. He tried not to get close but he did anyway. Are you guys catching the double meanings here???
Pete says "If you're feeling sad, that means it's important" Vegas cries more and then says, "Everything I've loved, leaves me"
There is a very fine line between sadomastic and self harm. The difference should be the pursuit of endorphins versus a desire to be punished. For us though; feelings, emotions, and pain are all tied together. And a break the camels back situation can lead to blurred lines. Usually there is a support system to guide you back. Or lead you to safer, saner ways. What support system does Vegas have though?
Vegas proves that he sees Pete too. "But you like me like this, when I'm moody" you see the real me and it excites you. Just admit it.
Vegas "I know exactly what I want" he's had regrets. He knows hiding from it won't fix it. "How about you, Pete" "How do you like it" admit you want me as badly as I want you. "You're Psycho" to which Vegas only smiles and doesn't deny.
"But a guy like you, it's no fun if you don't give in" It isn't worth it if you don't choose me. This is honestly explained so well by my dear friend @ellaspore here
And Pete realizes what Vegas is saying and takes this moment for himself. Vegas surprised quickly slides into so fucking happy.
I love the fucking hair grab. Pete started it but Vegas has control.
Pete licking his own arm. Is a classic sign of being gone gone. You're so high in the endorphins that everything is pinging and instinct is telling you to savor it all. Everything is heightened. Smell, taste, sound and it's just driving you higher.
Fuckkkkkkk. Vegas and that ass.
Make know bones about what Pete is saying by handing over the rope. He is absolutely and unquvically submitting.
Okay that knot is gorgeous. You are seeing the tighten but that type of not has you initially tye with two fingers within the rope then you tighten after lapping. It's secure enough to not have touch give for too much wiggle but lax enough to have longer before nerve concerns. That particular rope is damn good rope, it's not rough and it's thick which will distribute better.
The kiss of the hands. He is recognizing and appreciating the submission.
Honestly I'm more worried about how his ankles are bound. That could cut off circulation. You got about twenty minutes give or take before we have issues.
Omg.. how passive Pete is. Sgfggfh
Vegas is treating him good. Damnn. Those little kiss. This is love making not fucking.
This is the real Pete. That smile. Their smile.
Sweet brother moment.
Bread product placement.
I love how we've come full circle of you live is mine to your life means the most.
I love this talk. Omg. How much they love each other. Kinn just wants Porsche. And Porsche just wants Kinn happy.
So domestic. How comfortable are we saying that Kinn knows he walked away from the life???
Daddy Dearest. I don't trust you. What are you trying to cover up by giving that picture.
Mafia boyfriends. I'll support you if you want to kill him. Do you want me to help you kill him. I'm glad you didn't kill him because it would have hurt you.
I l9ve how Porsche doesn't hesitate to ask for support. He just pulls him in.
Back where it started! Refresh and renew! I love yous!
All that green around the uncle. The question is who sent him?? Otherwise how did he know shit.
And what is daddy trying to cover up?
There you have it. My thoughts. You don't have to agree with me, but know this took hours not minutes. I don't watch the whole thing and give my opinion. I freeze frame and detail. I rewind over and over. Which is a labor of love for myself and my friends. I hope you enjoy 💜💜💜
Before you reblog my post or send an ASK talking about Stockholm Syndrome. Please take the time to read this by someone who actually knows what the fuck they are talking about. Thank you @akitbeast

Somebody Besides Himself
Tumblr media
@ellaspore Okay so this is the part I'm talking about. That little nod like he is saying, "I see you, I see you need me, and I can do it, I can comfort" Then he proceeds to prove it. He brings Pete in and grounds him and when Pete buckles he stays with him. It's not a lot but I bet it's the most comfort he has ever given anyone. Other than maybe his brother. He is in a lot of pain right now because he loves Pete, but he is finally thinking of Pete instead of himself. Which as we all know will lead to a deeper love because when you care about someone more than ourselves it's a love not easily broken.
In my opinion the gun part was very real. He doesn't want to live if he can't have Pete. If there is a chance of Pete, he'll do what he has to but he doesn't want to live without him. And if he is going to go then he would rather Pete do it because he does owe him and what better way to go than by the man he loves. Then Pete doesn't, not even when he screams, so he knows Pete loves him. He hasn't destroyed all hope and he'll do whatever it takes to help Pete because finally he loves someone more than himself. That's when he stabilizes him.

Episode 11 Notes And Thoughts
These started out as a way for me to come back to a thought I had. Then they became something that others looked forward to. It became something we could discuss. This time the notes had a lot of help from the coconuts mafia @victooooorious @akitbeast @biochemjess @slangerogkatter thank you for all the support and help 💜💜💜 alright, get ready to go deep on VegasPete.
Let me start off by saying that you probably won't understand my notes unless you understand my theory. I believe that Vegas took note of Pete when Pete stood up to Khun and wouldn't tie up Macau. That's why he and his brother were more amused by Pete following them than upset. Somewhere between that time and the first dungeon torture scene in episode 7, Vegas was very interested in Pete. There was a lot to be seen in that episode to prove it too. So why the massive torture, like Vegas is pissed, if he cares for Pete. That is exactly why, here is the guy he has shown his true self to, who paid respects to his mom, who he wants to spend his next life with betraying him. He proves his loyalty is to the main family and it makes Vegas angry. Do you know the strength and endurance it takes to torture someone?? I do. It's a lot. You don't get this level of angry intensity unless you are invested.
So we start of the episode with a swinging good time. Seriously though, no hit is landed until Pete has tightened those muscles. Vegas is mad but he has no intention of killing him.
Vegas says "At first I was going to kill you but then I changed my mind" I would be inclined to believe this if all his actions didn't point differently.
"Because when you suffer, you become more interesting" he's letting Pete know he is aware of his secret.
Look at that stare that Pete is giving. He is every bit as angry and pissed as Vegas.
"No legacy is so rich as honesty" is a William Shakespeare quote. That can mean so many different interpretations. In the play it was a mock of maidenhood, and the desperate measures using it to gain prosperity. The growth that one learns from their legacy. Then learning to be honest and portray a truthful character is more powerful than any other trait existing.
"You are such a good pet of the main family"
So is Vegas calling him a pet in general or is he specifically saying the main family?
"Let me tell you something, only a fool thinks that honesty is real" Further proof we can't trust Vegas words so much as his actions.
I want you to notice that Pete yells for Vegas to kill him. He is angry and mad at Vegas but when Vegas' dad comes in and hurts Vegas. His eyes cut to him with malice.
Look at Vegas' face when his dad hands him the gun. He is not okay with this. Which is the complete fucking opposite to how he acted with Tawan and Porsche. He didn't necessarily want to do it, he gave a Dom apology to one and was planning a head shot with the other. Yet he wasn't broken up. He does not want to kill Pete though, not at all.
Tumblr media
Above note how he looks Tawan in the eyes as he shoots him, then he turns and goes to shoot Porsche in the head. Never taking his eyes of. With Pete though, his head is lowered. He is going to initially shoot but he can't look at him while doing it. Why? Unless he is already attached to Pete in a way that is more than Tawan and Porsche.
But even head down. Vegas can't kill Pete. So Pete will have to come with him.
How does Vegas know so much about grandma? I mean, yeah the name is on the caller ID but does that guarantee a good relationship? The kind of relationship that Pete would lose his shit over? The kind of relationship where she will lie for Pete? How does Vegas know?
That broke Pete and if you think that didn't turn Vegas on, you're wrong. Vegas is so angry right now that he isn't seeing straight. You've guys have to understand that anger and Sadist are not a good combination. It's like the parent who spanks but hits a power trip and slides into abuse. It's why you shouldn't punish when angry.
Vegas calls Pete a pet again. A pet is beneath a slave. He even mocks him with "who is a good boy"
Kinn says "I love you" about Porsche to his family first!! I also adore that Khun is not surprised.
I also adore how Kinn waited on Khun and let Khun manipulate Korn. Haha
The lovely bunch of coconuts with Arm being at the lead.
"I love him" 🥥 ohhhahhhhh.. Then them losing their shit on behalf of Porsche. Love it!
I wanna live at the safe house!!!
Pet again but Pete is smart. He knows that no matter what Vegas dishes. He can't eat from this animal dish or he will be a pet.
The talk between Porsche and Chay. So sweet. He wants his approval of Kinn. So sweet.
"You think you can choose not to eat" and Pete "I'm not choosing, I'm just not eating" Why did this piss of Vegas? Because Pete is making it clear that he isn't and wouldn't choose any of this.
Hence he calls him a pet again and loses his shit. Vegas is purposely hitting muscle not fat which with a belt hurts like a mother fucker. We know Pete can take the pain but your also more likely to get welting and burns. Ass, thighs, and breasts can tolerate the belt much better.
Notice that Pete actually showed his pain this time. That's not unusual at all and doesn't mean he isn't a masochist. Each masochist has certain pain they enjoy more and others that feel like pain. If you look at the previous pain given to Pete compared to this, you can spot the difference. Also keep in mind that Pete has had very little nourishment as well.
Vegas says "No fun" because Pete is actually hurting here.
Pete escapes and is immediately spotted by Vegas who makes a telling remark "so darn good, Head of the main family bodyguard" why does he repeat this if he doesn't take it personally. Are you starting to see it? He was personally hurt by Pete's loyalty to main family at the expense of him.
Did you notice that Vegas caught Pete, then him checking on him after stunning him.
Sweet Kinn and Porsche snuggle moment.
Mother in law!! 🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️☠️
Vages dad is a cunt.
Vegas is angry, upset, and tormented so where does he head? To Pete. Then watch his reaction. He loses his shit at Pete not being okay. This is not the reaction of a man who shot his slave point blank with no issues, or the one who liked Porsche but is willing to do what's necessary, and who likes his bodyguards but will use them as shields. All of those examples are people he has technically supposed to have known longer than Pete. Yet here he is freaking out. Calling him by name in this moment. Not pet and not main bodyguard but once again Pete.
Khun and Chay, this can't be good.
Pete comes to, to Vegas cleaning and caring for him. Look at how Vegas is looking at Pete. He has lost his anger. Everyone points to the scene after this one but this is the important scene. This is the scene that fixes what was broken.
Almost losing Pete has knocked the wind out of Vegas. He was blinded by anger but that shroud has now been removed.
But blink and you miss it, this is where Pete comes around too. He wasn't going to take that pill. Not because he is worried about poison but because he wants to die. Pete this entire time that he got caught, made peace with death and craves it. Why? I'm going to throw a theory at you, how would you feel if you betrayed someone you liked and they now hate you. Then Vegas puts the pill in his mouth and feeds it to Pete. Pete realizes that Vegas is no longer pissed. He reacts immediately. He reacts as a submissive, doesn't bite or anything else aggressive but swallows the pill and stares at Vegas. Watch from 40:40 and 40:41. The look shared between them says so much.
They share a look and then Vegas gently cradles Pete's head to give him water. At this point we see Pete staring at Vegas but this look is speculative.
Now comes the moment that everyone points to and says is meaningful. Look how sweet Pete is. Guys you gonna make me choke on vomit. Pete is not sweet, he is not sunshine, he doesn't see the best in everyone 🌈 Bitch please, Pete is a sadomastic killer who will torture you just like Vegas if you didn't pay a loan. He is not a good guy! This is not about finding redeeming qualities in one bad guy. This is about two bad guys finding redeeming qualities in each other.
Pete asks Vegas why he won't let him die and Vegas lies as usual. Oddly enough, Pete sees right through Vegas. He sees that Vegas is upset about something and what is it? Look at how Vegas looks at Pete in this moment. He knows that Pete can actually see him. He can read him. Pause at 42:56 and tell me that isn't a man looking at someone who means something to him.
Then Vegas starts actually speaking his truths. The value in this moment. Vegas recognizes that Pete can see him and therefore he might as well be honest.
Vegas knows so much about Pete but this proves that he has been seeing only what Pete shows. Oh, I think he sees more than that but this is his first time really realizing that Pete hasn't had it easy either. That Pete hides this part of himself and yet he chose to show it to Vegas.
Pete shares hos story and his wisdom. Vegas takes it in. He says nosy but Pete sees it for what it is and slightly smiles. Vegas didn't lie, or get angry, he made a very child like expression.
Vegas coming to Pete once again when upset. He stands there but immediately Pete gets up. There is no hesitant to get up and be there for Vegas. No hesitant to ask if he is okay. Once Vegas lost his anger, Pete changed too.
Look at Vegas' face at being asked if he is okay. He smiles. Pete asking if he is hurt, making sure he really isn't.
Here is manipulative Pete though. He knows he can not eat out of that pet bowl. He tells Vegas it's old, not fresh. So Vegas comes back with food he made. He is providing Pete food in a regular bowl with utensils. Sliding Pete straight past pet. Pete makes Vegas confirm that it is in fact for him. Then he freaks out about it being poisoned which we previously established, Pete isn't worried about. He doesn't fear death. But it pushes Vegas to try it and prove that it isn't poisoned. Which establishes Pete's importance. That he has importance enough to provide and care for in more ways than that of a slave. Pete maneuvered his submissive position. That smile Vegas gives, is him recognizing what Pete did.
We now know that Porsche got a mouth like a hoover vacuum. Mouth that can suck Kinn's balls through a hole and make him walk funny.

Twin Flames that Burn Each Other
Tumblr media
People are drawn towards others who complement them in good and bad ways, for their strengths and their weaknesses. We often look for those that match our achievements and failures. This includes seeking those with complementary emotional and mental wounds. Basically, complex trauma survivors will partner with someone else that matches their trauma. We then describe this magnetic pull towards one another as chemistry. If this relationship occurs between two partners with unresolved traumatic wounds, this type of chemistry can be volatile and explosive.
Whether the trauma was physical, sexual, or emotional, the impact can show up in a host of relationship issues. Survivors often believe deep down that no one can really be trusted. That intimacy is dangerous, and that a loving attachment is an impossible dream. Many tell themselves they are broken and not good enough.
Yet many survivors are desperate for love and protection that they have never received before. While still being fueled by fears of abandonment and mistrust. They will often completely ignore appropriate boundaries in their desires to find happiness. As a result, patterns of intense, unstable relationships occur. This could be the continuation of abuse or where the survivor is at further risk of repeated victimization and disillusionment in adult life.
Tumblr media
Both Vegas and Pete are ill equipped to deal with the storm that is their relationship. Pete is spiraling due to their intimacy. Meanwhile Vegas is locked in a cycle of abuse and has no idea how to negotiate any kind of relationship. He as clumsy as a newborn child, one with sociopathic tendencies. Still, they are magnets pulled to each other. Because of this, Pete is constantly trying to reach out to Vegas.
Then Vegas pushed Pete too far. Pete was already losing his shit over Vegas chaining him again, but he still asked Vegas to leave and come with him to the Main family. Vegas lashes out but it's his emotional trauma that broke Pete and caused him to move past his love.
"Don't you ever think that just because we had sex that you could say anything" This, is the moment that Pete cries. It wasn't the physical, remember he comes from a world where physical punishment is a thing. No, it's because he gave himself to Vegas. He handed himself over and Vegas just said it meant nothing.
"Anyhow, your just my pet" and Pete cries harder. Then Pete says "A guy like you will never regret" aka a guy like you will never change. He realizes he was a fool to have stayed. Vegas isn't going to change, and he can't live like this, in this cycle of abuse. "Kill me jerk" "You want to die so much, huh? I'll kill you as you wish." Pete has never not once been scared of death. He has welcomed it with open arms. What is hurting him now is that he gave himself to a man that he loves, and that man is threatening him. Continues to threaten him over and over.
Pete says that he has nothing left "Not even my humanity" that's when it clicks for Vegas, that he has become his father. His mouth parts on an I'm sorry because he knows he is in the wrong. Pete interrupts him before he can talk though. Pete says "Right now, I feel useless, no, I've always been useless. I never exist." He is saying that he saw Vegas, but he never existed to him and now he knows it. He is saying that he thought he was someone, but Vegas has proven that was a lie. "I don't have anything left within me" I loved you, but it's gone. Vegas whispers' Pete's name in devastation now.
"I can't take myself anymore, vegas" I can't take the pain of the past and the pain of the present. "If you don't kill me today, I'll do it myself" Because I would rather die than keep up the cycle.
Vegas fights Pete for the knife but Pete wins. Vegas throws his hands up "Pete, Pete, okay you win" "Pete, I'm sorry" He has heard everything Pete said between his words. That he has destroyed what Pete gave him. He is desperate. "Don't leave me, I'm begging you" Vegas can tell that Pete is done and broken.
"I'm human, Vegas." Pete saying that he wanted Vegas to see him as human, as someone. "I have feelings" Peta wanted Vegas to see and care about his feelings. Vegas now realizing what he has done, scared he is going to watch Pete kill himself. He begs "Can we start over, just you and me" now he is ready to leave because he wants to keep Pete. He had gotten used to Pete wanting to be there. Cause the bolt cutters always been there. "I need you, Pete. Just you and me" I'll leave like you wanted to do before. Pete no longer trusts Vegas' words though.
"Need me? For emotional projection, like a pet with no feelings?" Vegas finally realizing how bad he fucked up, that he has broken his already broken love. He whispers no while taking the knife from Pete. He can't live with him not in this world.
Tumblr media
"Then what is this" showing the cuffs. Because the cuffs were security for Vegas but for Pete, they are a reminder of the past. That's when Vegas finally realizes that his boy is just as, if not more damaged than him. Because the bolt cutters have been right there. "Okay Pete" but he is still more worried about himself than Pete because all he can think about is he is about to be abandoned. He had found security in Pete wanting to stay despite his unworthiness. He pushed Pete too far though and he knows it. He begs Pete to promise not to leave him, but Pete can't promise because he is done. One last kiss, one last touch. Vegas "stay with me" Pete sucking in a breath, the pain because as much as he loves Vegas he can't. He touches his face and caresses his lips.
Pete apologizes as he knocks Vegas out. He stares at his hand that hit him. The pain immeasurable. He takes the keys and frees himself. Pete crying the entire time he escapes.

VegasPete from my Perspective Re-Cap
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warning:: You probably won't like what I have to say and I know several of you won't agree. Don't say you weren't warned.
To understand my perspective, we have to start a lot sooner than most think VegasPete started. I have made more than one post indicating that I felt that Pete had a minor crush on Vegas. That Vegas recognized it and teased Pete about it. You can read those opinions here under the VegasPete section. Episode 11 had me back stepping though. I'm not off course on Pete but I was off course on the depth of feelings that Vegas had for Pete. I'm sure that shocks you. I think everyone expects Vegas to fall hard but in my opinion, he started the fall sooner than Pete being captured. Why Luta!? Well, let me explain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I don't think either ever planned for them to come together. I think both expected to feel what they felt and never two shall meet, other than the bit of teasing/flirting Vegas does as pictured above. I believe that Vegas took note of Pete, when Pete stood up to Khun and wouldn’t tie up Macau. The only person that Vegas cares about and would willingly put before himself is his brother. So I do think this meant something to him. That’s also why he and his brother were more amused by Pete following them than upset.
Now somewhere between that time and the first dungeon torture scene in episode 7, Vegas became more than interested in Pete. This is speculation of course, you turn the painting a certain way and somebody will see something different, but I have a story going in my head and I don't see proof against it yet. Episode 7 in my opinion brought a lot of Vegas and Pete moments. Vegas recognizing Pete for the freak he is in that dungeon and offering Pete food on more than one occasion. As well as Pete paying respect to Vegas' mother. That's when Vegas really started showing his true face to Pete, no one else, just Pete. In the warehouse when they are in the thick of danger, Vegas checks on Pete. There were a lot of little things that people would call bread crumbs but for me, once put together, added up to a damn loaf. Yet at this point, I still didn't understand the depth of Vegas' feelings. I would have said that Pete felt more. That's what makes this pair so interesting, they are hard to read.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The story further continues in episode 9. Let me say that I truly believe that Pete has feelings for Vegas but is conflicted about those feelings. I'm basing this on previous actions and from the words he spoke in Korean while drunk, that he feels loyalty to Kinn and the family. Then he speaks of being separated from his love. Well who could Pete's love be? Was he just talking gibberish?
When Pete is sent to spy on Vegas once again. He tries to get out of it because he knows he is bad at it. He also knows he has conflicting feelings. Yet he tries to do his job and is caught. Once again Vegas’ full attention is on Pete, with the help of his brother they guide him into the temple. I want to point out that in all the interactions with Pete that Vegas has, he shows a large amount of humor and patience. We honestly don't see Vegas get angry at Pete until much later, never mind that Pete has been caught in situations where it would make sense for Vegas to be angry. We know that Vegas has a temper so why isn't he getting mad?
If you aren't familiar with a sadist, you would miss the whole by play of flirting that Vegas is doing. It looks like Vegas is just attempting to make Pete uncomfortable but it’s so much more. In true sadist style, Vegas flirts. He also reveals a lot. Which, I respect if others don't see what I do. Vegas is a master manipulator so he's hard to read but that temple scene was not just a simple by pass.
When it’s time to make merit, Vegas takes this very seriously, Vegas moves to proper sitting position. Pete offers to go get a different jug of water for Vegas. Vegas responds with sincerity looking Pete in the eyes. “We make merit together. So in the next life we will get to see each other again” Vegas is not playing, that statement was truth. I don't think a lot of people understood the how significant merit taking together is. Giving merit is fundamental to a lot of belief systems but essential in Buddhist ethics. It is a beneficial and protective energy, which accumulates as a result of good deeds, acts, or thoughts. Further more these merits brings good and wanted results, determines the quality of the next life. It contributes to a person's growth towards enlightenment. There is more but that's the basics. So, you see how important merit is and doing merit together is for families and couples. It's to bring them closer together and insure a place together in the next life. It's essentially putting your hand out, taking the other person's hand and saying "always and forever" While it's not a wedding vow, it's still a promise.
Tumblr media
Now the moment that gave me pause was the above seen. Vegas always talks so respectfully to everyone, that's part of his mask but not Tawan. Tawan he literally talked to like he was irrelevant but then gave him a Dom apology before "killing" him. He looked him right in the eyes as he did it too. It made me realize two things, Vegas does prescribe to the D/s element and he isn't easy to read at all.
Tumblr media
Then Vegas turns to shoot Porsche. He aims for the head here instead of the chest. Now we know we have to look deeper with Vegas so why would he aim for a head shot. To make sure Porsche doesn't suffer, just as he asked of Porsche himself. Now it's very important to note these two moments between Vegas, Tawan, and Porsche because it's going to be pretty important when discussing how he treats Pete.
Tumblr media
Now we see an angry Vegas. It was also at this point that I realized how much Vegas cares for Pete. Don't get it twisted, I'm not saying him torturing Pete is okay. It's just my opinion that there is more depth there. Vegas is a Sadist without a doubt but as I pointed out all throughout episode seven, his excitement isn't usually amped like this. It shows differently. This, has everything to do with it being Pete and there are multiple layers to that.
A) Vegas is pissed, because he cares for Pete. Here is the guy he has shown his true self to, who paid respects to his mom, who he wants to spend his next life with, betraying him. Pete proved he is loyal to the main family and it pisses Vegas off. Do you know the strength and endurance it takes to torture someone?? I do. It’s a lot. You don’t get this level of angry intensity unless you are invested.
B) Vegas knows too much about Pete. A normal person can not take that level of pain but Vegas knew Pete could. This is someone he can get down and dirty with and he does. I'm not saying this is okay people. Just because Pete likes pain doesn't make this consensual. However, in my opinion, it was clear that Pete liked the pain and Vegas liked that.
That's all for Part 1. This is dedicated to several people @kinnswife @ellaspore @diazaid85 and of course coconuts mafia. I understand that this isn't going to fit with everyone and that's okay. I respect if you don't see what I see. If you want to discuss it, that's fine but don't come at me. Part 2 will cover Episode 11 part 1.

VegasPete from my Perspective Ep 11 part 1
Tumblr media
Warning:: You probably won't like what I have to say and I know several of you won't agree. Don't say you weren't warned.
Pete asks "Why don't you just kill me" because he honestly doesn't understand. He doesn't understand Vegas anger, not yet. Pete thought he would be just like everyone else, some torture and then death. He wasn't expecting the rage or the ongoing torture. Vegas responds “Because when you suffer, you become more interesting”
And so begins the multi-layers of episode 11. Well in my opinion anyway, again, I typically see things differently. What I got from this though is that Vegas was letting Pete know, that he could see his excitement. Again I'm not saying this is right but I will say that I don't think from Vegas' perspective he is viewing it as wrong. I think perhaps in his head, he is seeing the mutual attraction and betrayal differently than Pete.
Tumblr media
Vegas' dad comes in and hits Vegas. It was at this point that Pete surprised me. Now I've talked a lot about Pete's crush on Vegas but I honest to God, I expected it to have been completely destroyed when Vegas started torturing him. Then I saw the look that Pete leveled Gun. Guys, he was not amused at Vegas getting hit and he is sadomasochists' so that says something. When we do see amusement, is when Gun tells Vegas to clean up and hands him a gun. Pete is ready to die. I mean, he can withstand the torture so why. I’m going to throw a theory at you, how would you feel if you betrayed someone you liked and they now hate you? We know how loyal Pete is, look at what he did for Porsche. He knew he was going to betray Vegas but he wasn't expecting it to have this kind of impact.
Tumblr media
Now, in my previous post I mentioned that this part would be important. I need you to see what I see. To see the difference in how Vegas views everyone else in comparison to Pete. Vegas raises the gun but can't look. Why? He looked Tawan right in the eyes as he shot him and he looked right at Porsche. Why can't he look at Pete.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now if you happened to have missed this detail. You would be understandable in thinking that Vegas doesn't shoot Pete because he laughs but I disagree. Vegas can hurt Pete but he can't kill him. He'll disobey his father and take the wrath for it because Pete is coming with him.
Tumblr media
Vegas works fast to come up with an elaborate plan to keep Pete for now. He asks for vacation time from Kinn. Vacation time guys, this implies that they can expect for Pete to come back. If Vegas planned on keeping Pete, wouldn't it have been better to have made it look like he was dead? Then how does Vegas know so much about Pete's grandmother. I mean yes her number was there in Pete's phone but that doesn't tell their story. How does Vegas know that Pete and his grandmother have a good relationship and that she would lie for him. Also does the whole Vegas wanting to provide food for Pete circle back around to Pete's grandmother? If he knows about their relationship then it stands to figure that he knows about Pete's grandmother sending food to Pete. That Pete values this food for the care and meaning it has behind it.
Lets get back to the moment above because I think a few things happen at this point. I think Vegas is thrilled that he thought of a plan that will have him keeping and torturing Pete longer. Don't mistake though, Vegas is still fucking pissed. He is in a world of intense rage and excitement. Now so is Pete, finally and truly pissed at Vegas. It's at this point that Pete loses his shit and becomes a bit broken.
Once Vegas decides to take Pete with him. He starts treating him as a pet. A pet is below a slave, so below what Vegas thought of Tawan. It's at this point that we see a lot of push/pull. Vegas tries to feed Pete in a pet bowl and Pete knows he can't accept this. Vegas says "You think that you can choose not to eat" and Pete says “I’m not choosing, I’m just not eating” which sets Vegas off. He loses control. Now we know that Vegas gets angry but when has he lost control the way he does with Pete and why this. What is it about this statement that is pushing Vegas over the edge. Because Pete is making it clear that he isn’t and wouldn’t choose any of this. He wouldn't choose Vegas. Meanwhile, despite the betrayal Vegas still wants Pete.
"A good pet listens to its owner"
This is part 2 of a series but part 1 of PeteVegas episode 11. Part 2 can be found here. I know few are going to agree with me and that's okay. I'm not writing it for you. I'm writing it for me and the coconuts mafia who are interested. Also for @kinnswife and @ellaspore hope you guys enjoy💜💜💜

Twin Flames that Burn Each Other Part 2
Tumblr media
Pete loves Vegas. It's in the way he didn't leave when he could have many times over, it's in the way he will lie for him, and so many other tiny things. He loves him but he can't live with him. He can't keep living in that cycle of abuse but he can't stop loving him either.
I want to talk about the lyrics that play while we flash back and forth between Vegas and Pete. We see Vegas sitting there with two sets of plates. Silently praying this will be like the hedgehog situation and he could of left but didn't. That he'll have a chance to change but then he gets the news from the bodyguard that Pete is at the Main house. I want to point out the bodyguard that never stopped Pete from leaving. Why? Unless Vegas had told them and never recanted to let Pete go.
The lyrics that flash between Vegas and Pete are so telling
“Despite the fact that your heart has changed”
“Just say it now”
“what I need is the truth”
“No need to worry, I won’t hold you back”
“If you don’t love me and want to leave me”
“Just say it now, don’t drag it out any longer. I’m invisible whether you’re with me or not”
Then we flash to Pete and his bowl of ramen.
“Like, I could only hold onto your body”
“but it would mean nothing to your heart.”
Flash to Vegas crying.
“Bashing on, the more we meet, the more it hurts”
“What am I supposed to do to bring back who you used to be”
Back to Pete choking on the ramen
“Just say it now”
“What I need is the truth”
The song with the same lyrics continue to replay as we go through the motions of hands bound, kiss, and touching the throat. All the same motions used when Vegas made love to him. Pete begins crying even harder at the lyric
“No matter what the outcome, I still love you”
Vegas loves Pete. Has loved Pete. He has thought he was a freak a monster and he is but it's okay because Pete gets him. Pete sees him and does not look away. Pete chooses him until he doesn't and now Vegas knows he has truly fucked up because there is only one Pete. So the once stalked goes to find the stalker and the once recipient of feelings, prays that Pete has lied and there are still feelings there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vegas learns that Pete does still love him. He apologizes and leaves. I don't think he has any plans of leaving Pete, he can't. Pete is his salvation, the one person who sees him, but he knows that it can no longer be on his terms.

Gravitational Pull
Vegas is Pete's Moon. He's always thought him unreachable, unattainable but he still effected his current. But the moon sees the ocean and purposely reaches for it and teases it. Generating tidal force. During low tide, there is tranquility that memorizes us. We stare at the vastness with breath taking awe. Then high tide comes in and it's scary, intense, passionate. It can destroy and rebuild all at once. It can sweep us away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have you ever liked someone but known it was impossible? It's a completely different interaction compared to those where you actually anticipate or have hope of a relationship. You quietly stare and yet your movement and feeling are effected. Vegas and Pete have always danced around each other.
Vegas is aware of Pete but unaware of how Pete actually feels. He understands motives but he doesn't understand feelings and this lead to so much miscommunication. The signs are there that Pete has always loved Vegas, Pete has never hurt Vegas. Done everything until this recent episode to not hurt Vegas and to support him. He never thought they were possible because as far as he was concerned, he was beneath Vegas and Vegas never saw him. He thought Vegas was truly interested in Porsche.
Then the torture began and Vegas is far more angry than he expected because Vegas has not gotten angry with him before. He was expecting torture and kill. Which he was okay with, being killed by the man he loved. He was even good with physical abuse. It's the emotional abuse that Pete can't handle. That's his hard no. That's when he fights against Vegas, with the emotional abuse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pete tells Vegas that he isn't seen, he isn't useful and he is talking about Vegas. Vegas is devastated to hear this because he doesn't realize that Pete sees all these things in such away. Vegas sees the binds as a commitment, he has always seen Pete and made a point of acknowledging him, offering food, buying him bug spray. Now though, he is also realizing how he has contradicted himself. He has to change, he has to become Pete's new moon.
Tumblr media
He sees Pete and immediately takes his finger off the trigger. Then he never takes his eyes off Pete.

Hi Luta.
I have seen people calling Vegas bandaging Pete's wounds aftercare. I'm not part of the community and I was wondering if it is a correct definition of what was happening. I seem kind of weird to me to describe that scene like that.
What do you think?
Hey hey Bestie!!!
After kink play, there is a practice of aftercare built into practitioners lives to make sure that everyone involved feels safe and cared for after play time is over.
Aftercare refers to the time and attention given to partners after an intense sexual or painful experience. Once these intense moments happen, it doesn't mean that people can forget about being considerate and communicative after it's all over.
While aftercare looks different for everyone, since sexual and painful preferences are so vast. It should have some similarities, aftercare means communicating and taking care of one another after the intense experience to ensure that all parties are comfortable. That can include everything from tending to any wounds the submissive partner got, to taking a moment to be calm and talking over the experience.
Therefor, would I call it aftercare? No. He cared for Pete afterwards sure but he was correcting a mistake. He wasn't truly giving aftercare to Pete. Luta! What's the difference!?!? Intent and purpose. If I came up and punched you in the eye; then gave you an ice pack, flowers, and chocolate, is it "aww" aftercare? That's a good way to an abusive relationship, that way lies. Now, if we have sex and I bite and scratch until you have wounds and I bandage those afterwards, I salve, kiss, treat, and whisper comfort. That is aftercare.
I think we are trying so hard to make these characters fit in a box. That we just won't let them be grey characters. You can humanize them while still recognizing their faults. Vegas was abusive, he was intentionally hitting Pete to create the most pain. I'm glad he felt sorry afterwards but there wasn't anything romantic to the care afterwards. While they had a moment. It wasn't due to the aftercare.
Nothing is mutually exclusive in this show and I think that's something everyone is struggling with. Hope this answered your question 💜💜💜

Opinion of Dropping Khun/pom VegasPete
@victooooorious
They dropped the khun/pom when Pete was kidnapped. Pretty sure while Pete is being tortured, they use guu/mueng. At first it was a linguistic middle finger 🖕🏻 but now their language has evolved into a sign of an intimate relationship…
@ellaspore
Now let me preface that I do not know Thai, but honorifics and register shifts have the same reasons in all languages. The use of formal language and honorifics is not just a form of politeness but it is also a way to acknowledge/recognize a position of power.
When Pete used “Khun” for Vegas previously he was signifying linguistically that Vegas had power over him and he was recognizing it. Now the shift in episode 11, from formal to informal and even impolite language does show a shift in the power dynamics, and let me tell you that shift is not in favor of Vegas. That is Pete not only being impolite but also refusing power to Vegas, there is no more a recognition of power.
I also found it extremely interesting that Pete used just Vegas' name when Vegas threatened his grandma because that signified to me a false surrender. If you are really yielding because you are being threatened, you will use polite speech in order to gain favor. The fact Pete never really did use it then or further down the line should make everyone come to the conclusion that he was not really recognizing any form of power Vegas tried to extend over him.
This is valid for the 1st part of episode 11. Then it became a form to show intimacy, not only that but also a form of being on the same level.

Hey, firstly I love your analysis of the characters. I’m enthralled. I had a question about Pete’s jumpy behaviour when Vegas touches him, especially in ep 11 where Vegas gropes him. Being tortured he could accept, being touched he could not. Is there more to this behaviour??

Hey Hey Bestie!!
I'm a visual person as I think most people are, so lets put a bunch of gifs together and compare. Vegas scares the crap out of Pete and yet he is still attracted. Even in the third one, you can see he is annoyed but he just kind of maneuvers. He isn't really bothered so neither are we.
Now as far as him jumping when Vegas appears to be about to sexually assault him. It makes sense to me. Believe it or not, mentally there is a huge difference for a masochist and sadomasochist between torture and sexual assault. I won't talk for other SA but for myself, I would much rather be tortured.
I think a lot of people have difficultly understanding this seen because they are trying to hard. He can be okay with torture and not be okay with Sexual Assault. He mentally prepared himself before this mission for torture and he knew he liked pain so it was going to be okay. He has tortured people himself so it was always something that could happen. I bet he has never sexually assaulted something though, this was not an even conceivable thought and it did send him over the edge. I'm just thankful as fuck that Vegas was mentally fucking with Pete and actually going for the tattoo.
Hope this answered your question! 💜💜💜

hey hi hello ma’am Luta
so question or an observation?
when kinn said he loves porsche he stood up and as he finished saying it he put his hands behind his back. for me it read as very unapologetic dominant stance on this matter. he conveyed that he loves this man, won’t stop anytime soon and while he cares about his family and their opinion he won’t back down on this.
it took him so long and much courage to be able be so open about his affection that now that he’s open with it he’s not gonna back down.
i know you’ll be doing a Dom Kinn post later on but wanted to knwo if i read it right.
also will you be doing a similar Dom Vegas posts now that we are in Vegaspete storyline?
and would you watch other thai series and try to find D/s elements in there or is KP special?
Hey minnie!!!
I'm sorry I didn't answer this right away. I've been trying to punch out certain posts before doing asks. I also wanted to re-watch that part. Because honestly his body language fits with unapologetic but I did catch Dominance to it. He is unapologetic with his love for Porsche, I agree that he absolutely won't back down. However, he still hesitantly looks at his dad. So I'm not quit confident in calling it a Dom move. Let's say that I wouldn't put it under Dom move in my D/s post because of certain factors. However, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you either.
I recently posted some opinions about Vegas and Pete. They can be found under part 1, part 2, and part 3. I do think there is not only think that both are sadomasochism but that there will be a D/s element. I just don't have enough yet to break down that D/s more than I have in the following posts.
I am currently doing a break down of My Beautiful Man on the D/s element. My next ones are Unforgettable Night and then a straight series called Love and Leashes. I really prefer BL but @biochemjess has agreed to watch Unforgettable Night and in exchange I'm going to watch the other.
Hope this answered your questions 💜💜💜
