He did now; the faint swirl of emotions coming from their general direction, but maybe it had been because he had been too distracted with his own problems. Too tuned in to the people chasing him. "Do you have any other kind of vocabulary?" He didn't have a horse in this race. Honestly, being bored some random afternoon in the middle of last summer had lead him to a realisation which had, in turn, lead him to this precise moment. Gangs were dangerous. Full of pain, and suffering, and power plays. It just so happened that Jonathan had joined an opposing team to this guy. Not that he cared. A person hurting was a person hurting, no matter who they were. No matter if Jonathan was just meant to make sure he didn't leave.

Although, he probably shouldn't have done this whilst being hungover. It took away the edge he loved.

"We need to find a balance; my pain threshold is pretty low today, luckily for you." That didn't mean he was going to take it easy on him, though. He flipped open his switchblade, and dug it firmly into his left leg. "But you don't need that leg, right now, so why not?"

Really badly. Jonathan lingers there for a second, eyes washing over the wounds, before he looks back up to Peter. How was he going to handle this? Well - for starters, he wasn't going to fall back into bad habits. At this point, Jonathan wasn't interested in taking advance more than he was interested in making sure he didn't lose Peter to some stupid wounds. "Okay, I can't help you, even if you'd let me. So I'm calling a taxi. We're going to ER."

"You look like shit." Coming across someone that was already hurt was a weird one. Didn't usually happen, even in a city like New York. And Jonathan didn't recognise Harry, not yet. He was too wrapped up in the pain he felt from him, considering if he should help or not. "What happened to you?"
