Thị trường gọi xe: Khe cửa hẹp cho các tân binh

Một năm qua, thị trường gọi xe Việt Nam đón chào 2 tân binh nhưng "thế trận" dường như đã định đoạt và không nhiều thay đổi sau đó.

Hôm 8/10, thị trường gọi xe chào đón thêm một "tân binh" có tên viApp, thuộc sở hữu của Viservice, một công ty nội địa trụ sở tại quận 7, TP HCM. Bà Bùi Thị Hải Yến, Tổng giám đốc công ty cho hay, viApp đã được Bộ Công Thương cấp phép hoạt động chính thức như các ứng dụng gọi xe công nghệ khác, sẽ hoạt động tại tất cả tỉnh thành, cung cấp dịch vụ gọi xe hai bánh và ôtô bao gồm cả taxi, xe hợp đồng, xe tải.

Là tên tuổi hoàn toàn mới, viApp tỏ ra khá tham vọng trong ngày ra mắt. Đội ngũ sáng lập đặt mục tiêu có 300.000 lượt tải trong 3 tháng đầu tiên. Thị phần mà viApp mong muốn là 20% với khách đặt xe qua ứng dụng và 50% với khách vẫy xe truyền thống.

Trước đó, vào cuối tháng 6, một ứng dụng gọi xe công nghệ nội địa khác cũng công bố "tham chiến" là GV Taxi, ứng dụng thuộc GV Asia. GV Taxi bắt đầu vận hành thử nghiệm từ tháng 7, đặt mục tiêu thu hút khoảng 8.000 đối tác tài xế và 60.000 chuyến đi mỗi ngày.

Như vậy, kể từ ngày Mygo chào sân tháng 7/2019, thị trường gọi xe đã đón nhận thêm hai tên tuổi mới (không tính một ứng dụng chủ yếu giao hàng có chở người tại tỉnh và một ứng dụng mô hình hoạt động không rõ ràng, tuyển tài xế dấu hiệu đa cấp). Các ứng dụng này đều được khẳng định là sản phẩm thuần Việt, do đội ngũ người Việt phát triển và vận hành.

'Đại dương xanh' nào cho tân binh?

Nhóm sáng lập viApp nói không đặt mục tiêu cạnh tranh với bất cứ ứng dụng gọi xe nào vì đây là sản phẩm của những người gắn bó với ngành công nghệ, hiểu về thị trường gọi xe nên triển khai nền tảng cho tài xế kiếm thêm thu nhập.

Nhưng chưa cần cạnh tranh, thị trường gọi xe có còn "cửa" cho những tên tuổi mới như họ? Nghiên cứu gần nhất về thị phần gọi xe được ABI Research phát hành năm ngoái cho biết Grab, be, GoViet (nay là Gojek) chiếm lần lượt 73%, 16% và 10% thị phần. Chỉ 1% thị phần dành cho các hãng còn lại.

Chưa có thống kê mới cập nhật đến nay nhưng cục diện hầu như không có thay đổi. Ngoài 3 ứng dụng này thì thị trường còn Fastgo, Tada, Vato, Mygo... nhưng độ phổ biến không nhiều, cả ở trên đường phố lẫn trên màn hình điện thoại người dùng. Trong khi FastGo từng bị đồn đoán về sự sáp nhập, Vato ngày càng vắng bóng và Aber thì "biến mất" không dấu vết.

Ra đời sau khi thị trường đã gần như định đoạt, những "tân binh" như viApp hay GV Taxi phải có một phân khúc khác, ít đối đầu trực diện nếu không muốn "tan biến" như Aber. Hai điểm khó nhất là làm sao thuyết phục được người dùng cài thêm ứng dụng gọi xe mới và tài chính đủ mạnh để tồn tại.

viApp chọn một chiến thuật không mới, đó là khuyến mại mạnh tay lúc ra mắt. Ứng dụng tung các cuốc xe đồng giá 1.000 đồng với xe máy và 10.000 đồng với ôtô cho chặng dưới 5 km. Đồng thời để thu hút thêm người dùng và tài xế, ứng dụng tặng 15.000 đồng cho mỗi người dùng giới thiệu người mới cài đặt và 100.000-200.000 đồng cho tài xế giới thiệu thêm tài xế mới.

Cách này có thể giúp viApp có một lượng người tải ứng dụng về. Còn ở đường dài, viApp chọn khách lắp đồng hồ điện tử trên xe 4 bánh để tài xế vừa bắt khách qua ứng dụng, vừa đón khách như taxi truyền thống. Giải pháp đồng hồ này cũng giúp họ có dịch vụ đặt xe không có điểm đến và tính tiền cho khách bằng đồng hồ. Điều này đồng nghĩa, viApp muốn có phần ở cả gọi xe qua ứng dụng và taxi truyền thống. Việc đa dạng hóa kênh kiếm khách được xem là cách để ứng dụng này có thể giữ chân được tài xế.

Trong khi đó, GV Taxi tập trung 3 dịch vụ ban đầu là đặt trước chuyến đi xa, gọi xe máy và ôtô. Theo lộ trình đã công bố, công ty này sẽ tiếp tục ra mắt dịch vụ giao hàng, đồ ăn và taxi tải trong năm 2021. Nhìn chung, hướng đi của GV Taxi tương đối giống các đàn anh trước đó.

Với các "tân bình", sức khai mở thị trường riêng cho mình còn tùy thuộc vào năng lực tài chính. Cho đến nay, cả GV Taxi và viApp đều chưa tiết lộ về tên tuổi nhà đầu tư. Riêng viApp khẳng định được hậu thuẫn bởi nhà đầu tư nội địa, từng rót vốn thành công vào một số startup.

'Đất sống' của những gương mặt cũ

Trong khi đó, các đàn anh đã bắt đầu tìm kiếm lợi nhuận từ mảng gọi đồ ăn để bù lỗ cho mảng gọi xe.

Theo báo cáo của Google và Temasek, quy mô thị trường ứng dụng gọi xe Việt Nam khoảng 500 triệu USD với tốc độ tăng bình quân hơn 40% mỗi năm. Đến 2025, sân chơi này có thể đạt giá trị 4 tỷ USD.

Miếng bánh đó, các gương mặt cũ đều đã "xí phần". Grab có lượng dịch vụ hầu như phủ mọi mặt trận, từ gọi xe 4 bánh, 2 bánh, đến giao hàng, gọi đồ ăn hay các dịch vụ mới hơn như đi siêu thị hộ.

Gần đây, Grab còn nghĩ ra dịch vụ cho thuê xe máy kèm tài xế theo giờ để hành khách linh hoạt đi lại. Động thái này, được bà Nguyễn Thái Hải Vân, Giám đốc điều hành Grab Việt Nam, lý giải là "chiến lược bản địa hoá" để tiếp tục tung ra các dịch vụ sát nhu cầu thực tế nhất của thị trường.

Gương mặt nội địa duy nhất trong top 3 là "be" có khá nhiều hoạt động mới từ đầu năm 2020, sau nửa cuối năm 2019 im hơi lặng tiếng. Cùng chạy đua đa dạng hóa dịch vụ, "be" cho phép thanh toán thêm SmartPay, MoMo, ra mắt beTaxi, đi chợ hộ, cung cấp gói thành viên và cho đối tác bán bảo hiểm trên nền tảng...

Số liệu đến tháng 9 cho biết, be đã được tải xuống trên hơn 8 triệu thiết bị di động, có hơn 100.000 tài xế, khoảng 350.000 chuyến xe được yêu cầu mỗi ngày và hoạt động ở 10 tỉnh thành. Thậm chí, trong một lần phát ngôn về khả năng Grab và Gojek sáp nhập, đại diện "be" tỏ ra khá sẵn sàng.

"Khi Grab mua Uber tại Việt Nam nhưng thị trường vẫn đủ lớn cho beGroup tham gia và phát triển ổn định thì chắc chắn sự sáp nhập của Grab và GoJek cũng sẽ không thể làm thay đổi quy luật cạnh tranh vốn có của thị trường", bà Nguyễn Hoàng Phương, CEO beGroup nói. Đại diện be cho biết không chủ trương "đốt tiền" mà chi tiêu hợp lý, và vẫn có kế hoạch mở rộng trong tương lai.

Trong khi đó, GoViet đổi thành Gojek từ đầu tháng 7 và có CEO mới. Ứng dụng này sở hữu khoảng 150.000 đối tác tài xế và đối tác 80.000 nhà hàng.
