Question for Allura: how'd it feel when you met the boys for the first time? I'm assuming it's been a long while since you've met friendly off-worlders

Allura: You got it right, though! Me and Coran haven’t seen any off-worlders who aren’t here to kill us in a long time.

A bit too long, actually.  

(Pidge: It makes no sense! They look like they’ve been there for some time, but they’re completely frozen! But they look a bit too alive, like those status in a wax museum. 

Lance: That seems like an overly specific example there, pal. Besides, what do you guys think might've caused this to happen?

Keith: Whatever it may be, we should probably stay out of it.  )

( Keith: I didn’t think you’d have a thing for stealing guns. 

Hunk: Keith, we’re stuck in a sweltering-hot planet with little to no water, inside a random room after crawling into the sewers to escape those weird purple dudes! Of all the crap we just went through, me disarming a robot is somehow the kicker ? )

Sven: Learn to liven up a bit more, Kogane. At least this way one of us could walk out of this alive...If we even hide long enough from the Galra.  

Keith: Do you guys need a reminder why we’re even in this part of space? Seriously Sven I thought you’d back me up here! You’re literally the assigned commander in this squad! 

Sven: …Nah, I’m good. Plus, I don’t think the Drules would care for proper military positions anyway. 

Lance: Hey check this out! Maybe it’ll get us out of this nightmare fuel of a planet.

Calling it ‘Voltron: Intergalactic Defender of the Universe’ because I’m creative ;;)) 

I don’t know how the entire storyline will pan out (I’m but a feeble artist.. I can’t write for shit), so expect a dozen random drawings related to this AU !

I’ve been waiting so damn long to make this blog come to life for all of you! This an ask blog for my modernized 80’s voltron au, you’ll find out more based on the tags and out of character posts.

Do be warned though, while I have redesigns set in place for other characters, if I don’t know how to draw a redesign of a pre-existing character I’ll just draw them normally.

Cant wait to see the ask box get flooded simultaneously with questions and empty nothingness.

To whoever is still checkin this blog out, hey there! Sorry I let this blog die out for a bit. I’ll try to pick up from where I left off and answer whatever questions are in my inbox. Meanwhile, here’s the finalized design I’ve got so far for the voltron flightsuits featuring Allura!

PS.  She actually won’t be wearing a salmon/pink uniform due to plot reasons, but I still think she looks neat in it.

this is absolutely amazing! such a clever idea and amazing art! i was wondering if allura’s planet still got destroyed in the reboot? and where the castle of lions is located, or if it could fly 😁 this content is awesome and i love it thanks for sharing!

In this AU, Arus is still intact but so very destroyed and different from the desert oasis it was known as in their star system.

It would make sense to totally destroy it like (Altea in vld), but Zarkon is a truly sadistic shit and ended up completely invading it and captured most Arusians into specific prison outposts around the planet like livestock, leaving tons of destroyed debris and nuclear weapons to serve as an example to other planets that dared oppose him.

It's been a few decades before Allura and Coran were freed by team Voltron since they've seen the surface of their planet.

The castle of lions (AKA. Fortress Gradham) was constructed in an abandoned canyon, and was built as a secondary bunker/ lion hangar just before Alfor scattered each of Voltron's parts.

Fun fact, Arus is 40% water, filled with lovecraftian marine life that even Zarkon didn't dare acknowledge to destroy. Guess which pilot finds their lion there!

 These guys are no joke. They’ve held the Crimson, the Caeruleum (the one we’re in) and the Aurum quadrants under their control for the longest time. 

 They’re always on about ‘bringing back the golden days of the universe’, but judging by how things are going, their agenda’s starting to fall apart“

“Pollux...is odd. It started as a separate branch from Arus after one of the many previous kings in Arus banished his son Prince Castor to another planet, making Pollux. 

Due to this old-as-time bitterness, the royal house of Pollux bonded with the Galra Empire over their spite and bombarded Arus consistently.

 However, the recent three royal siblings took back control in a bloody coup, but it may have caused more problems than solutions for us, considering we even helped them with it.
