#vietnam_facts Ky Quan San peak (Bach Moc Luong Tu) Bach Moc Luong Tu is the name given by tourists (by mistake) to the highest mountain of Ky Quan San mountain range at the boundary between Bat Xat district of Lao Cai province and Phong Tho district of Lai Chau province, Vietnam. The peak of the Ky Quan San is 3,038 m high, and the French recorded the mountain name on the map as "Ky Kouan Chan". This is the fifth highest peak in Vietnam (after Fan Si Pan, Pu Ta Leng, an unnamed peak of 3,081 m high on the Vietnam-China border and Phu Si Lung). Ô Quy Hồ pass, Vietnam. #vietnam_facts This is a pass that holds a record of length in the northwestern mountainous region of Vietnam, with a length of nearly 50 km, and is one of the four great passes in Vietnam. 2/3 of O Quy Ho pass belongs to Tam Duong and Lai Chau districts; the remaining 1/3 is located in Sa Pa, Vietnam. Before being built, O Quy Ho Pass was full of dangers, few people dared to go on it because the road was too long and brought many oral stories that made people passing by a shudder, including stories about gods tiger catching people. Khau Pha Pass is one of the most rugged and steep mountain passes and is one of The Four Greatest passes in Vietnam. 🇻🇳🗻 🌄🌈⛅ The pass is 30 km long and at the height of 1,200m to 1,500m crossing the highest mountain range in Mu Cang Chai area. Because the mountain pass is often misty and the mountain peak like rising up in the sea of cloud, in Thai language, Khau Pha means the Heavenly Horn (mountain horn rising up to the sky), or sometimes it is understood as the Heavenly Gate. During the Vietnam War, the Khau Pha guerrilla force based on the terrain and the cloudy weather to hide and many times defeated the French army at this pass caused the French army to fear and call them by the name "The cloud warriors". Khau Pha is the most beautiful in the season of ripe rice, around September October, when the rice is ripe and covered with yellow to the terraced fields.
