I know Halloween is long gone and it’s almost Christmas time…..BUT if your yanderes were fantasy monsters such as vampires, werewolves, mermaids, ghost and etc, what monster would they be and how would it effect their yanderism?
anon how does it feel to be a genius with a big brain? good ass question !!
simon i think would be a ghost. he's stuck in his house most the time, has a lot of emotions tying him to earth, and one specific person that keeps him around. (aka, darling). i think they'd spend a lot of time just roaming their house pretending to work and would only leave to haunt their darling, but in ways that are weirdly helpful? like turning the stove down when the foods gonna burn, or opening doors for you, turning off the lights if u forget. pulling the blanket up over your shoulder when ur sleeping and it fell away. they'd be really sweet and would just want your attention, even if it's something small like leaving out a glass of water for him. expect to be followed to every single room you go into. once in a while u might feel some light touches on your shoulders or hair or little kisses on your cheek. you'd also be just watched, sleeping or awake, a Lot. so get used to it!
however, while he'd be really sweet with you... if you try to romance any other person, ghost!simon will not be so sweet. you can expect to have drawers slamming or things being tossed at your partner to prevent a kiss, doors shutting on their face, or you being unable to open the front door to let them inside. if they spend the night, they'll have nightmares and see him standing at the end of the bed just Staring at them.
but! overall he'd be good. just don't be mad when he turns off your alarms for work because he thinks you need rest. don't be mad when he won't let u leave the house to hang out with your friends sometimes. don't be mad if he tries to kill you one day, because he wants you to be with him forever.
wyatt strikes me as a werewolf. a sweet puppy who just wants your attention, who would do absolutely anything you asked, and who takes it a little too far when you spare them a kiss. i can imagine them following you around all the time and carrying around your clothes to have ur scent when ur not around. they'd also be reaaaaalllllyyyy good at tracking u down if you tried escaping, and really good at dragging u back, possibly with broken legs. so don't do that.
werewolf!wyatt would also be set off more easily. this means disobedience could be met with bites and shoving and stuff like that, but also, if anyone messed with u, they're getting their heart ripped out and eaten. <3
thomas i envision as a fairy. it was all over when you told him your name, and now he's got you under his magic, all dizzy and scared but too weak to do much about it. fairy!thomas would still be very sweet with you, still want you comfortable and stuff. but you're going to be at parties more frequently with his friends, and he'd have a great time putting u under spells to make u way too out of it to think, or just enough that you understand what's happening, u just cant fight back.
you can expect more cute aggression, more spoiling, and more cycling through outfits like multiple times a day. he also might take your blood/hair/nails for some magic stuff, and DEFINITELY have you indulge in some fairy snacks such as milk and honey and cookies and such. you also would find urself to be much more forgetful and going with whatever thomas says to do, because it just feels right to obey what he says.
viktor is a siren, through and through. he uses a spell to help him appear human on land, but can change back to being a mermaid whenever he pleases. he's got a much larger cult because of his song, and some of those members are joined specifically for his entertainment and later, food. he would lovvvveee using his spell even when he's just talking to people, so you might find yourself getting reaaaaallly dizzy and confused and euphoric when all you wanted to ask him was if church was at 9 or 10 today. darling would be under his spell constantly, so you can say goodbye to a sane mind. anything you want comes from him, and choices are out the window. he makes all the decisions now.
you'd sometimes have little memories of watching him eat people alive, and then you'd get reallllly scared and panicky. and then it would drown under the weight of his spell, and you'd forget what made you so upset in the first place. wait, why are you crying? best go find viktor. he'll make u feel better.
emiliano is a vampire!! a blood thirsty, violent natured, crazed thing. his kills are always messy and the only blood left is what's smeared on the ground and soaked into their clothes. unless he's killing for pure sport. he's bigger than his human form, like, much bigger, and it makes it way easier to trap and keep his darling with ease.
you can expect to be tortured and drank from alll the time, sometimes right to the brink of death. sometimes you'll be hypnotized and not know which end is up, and other times you'll be fully coherent and aware of all the horrors he's bestowed upon you.
it's in your best interest to just obey whatever he says whenever he says it, because he'll eat u alive if you don't. he's definitely got connections with some underground monster doctors so it won't be an issue if he has a break a few bones or nearly gut you for trying to escape or disobey. just be a good doll and u won't have too many problems! <33

Ok, we admit it, Iceland is high on our Bucketlist right now! So when we came across a fellow wanderluster who had actually been, we just had to get him to write our next You’ve Been Where post. Thomas Pamon is a seasoned traveller, but Iceland stands out as a favourite – and it’s not hard to see why. We challenge you not to want to go after reading this post!
Who are you and what do you do for a living?
Hi, I am Tom and I am currently studying for my master’s degree reading Social and Organisational Psychology at the University of Exeter. Alongside my degree, I am a part-time waiter (to pay for my travels).
Author Tom in Iceland
Where is home?
I am currently living in Exeter, Devon, however I grew up in Derby, which is in the middle of England.
Where have you been? When did you go?
During exam season, at the beginning of January 17, I visited Iceland for five days to get away from the stress.
Who did you travel with?
On this particular trip, I travelled by myself.
What were the highlights?
For me the highlights of this trip was exploring the south coast especially around Vik and Reynisfjara Beach. The natural formation of this island is astonishing and I highly recommended exploring this area.
What did you least like about your trip?
For me (as a backpacker) unfortunately the rumours are true, this place is very expensive! Be aware Iceland is not known for its food and you can pay a pretty price for mediocre food and service. This applies for shopping in the supermarkets as well. But this was not enough to put me off wanting to go back.
Do you have any funny stories from your travels?
I have from other travels, but from this particular trip I would have to recommend the Game of Thrones tour run by ‘GrayLine’ our tour guide was an extra from the HBO TV series and made the day most memorable and humorous. This trip is a must-do if you enjoy the series and I hope he gets recognition for his efforts in providing an amazing experience to all his guests. (p.s. he runs the tour as if he is still on set, so if you don’t like “banterous” swearing and anger, this may not be for you)
What were the locals like?
The locals were very friendly, something Iceland is known for. Interestingly, the number of tourists exceeds the number of Icelandic folk at any given point. To put this in perspective there are not many Icelandic people around.
What was the food like?
Food comes at a price and is not my greatest memory of Iceland. I took snacks over knowing the prices of food and also budgeted by using the supermarket and preparing my food in the hostel. I did eat out one night and for one person with a drink and a burger (if I remember correctly) the price was around £28.
Did you learn anything about yourself or the world on this trip.
I have travelled to a fair number of places in the world and Iceland truly is one of the most unique and accessible places by far. They now operate a budget airline WOWair along with Icelandic Air who have frequent flights from England and good connections to America. The scenery here is breathtaking (so wrap up warm to get out and see it!).
Would you recommend others travel here?
I would highly recommend visiting Iceland! Five days was not long enough to explore all the places I wanted to. I feel this is a trip for families with older children who would appreciate the views and also for couples and solo travellers. There’s not really much to do with younger kids and remember (in January) they only have four to five hours of sunlight which can get confusing so use your time wisely.
Do you have any tips for people thinking of travelling here?
It can be done on a budget if you are a super-saver, if not save a fair amount of money and then some more. When you arrive, you realise there is so much more to do and see and that it is completely different from the landscape most tourists visit. Get off the beaten tracks (but stay on the roads in the car as it’s illegal to go off-roading) the natural beauty of this place is all around, although I went on my tours using travel companies, the roads were quiet and well sign-posted and if you are comfortable driving in snow I would recommend hiring a car so you can stop on the side of the road to take in the amazing views.
