Afternoon Tea Party - Hen

My sister's getting married this year so it's been the perfect excuse to host something as well as try some new cupcake decorating techniques! Last week I hosted a tea party for her hen which was quite a success so I thought it deserved sharing for anyone else looking to do it!

There was a mixture of sweet and savoury, vegetarian and meat options and everything went down so well with no rejects so I'd recommend this for anyone planning to host one themselves: 

Sandwiches

Chicken, Rocket and Pesto Mayo (the party's favourite)

Cream cheese and cucumber

Cheese

Ham

Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese and Salmon

Blinis

These were a mixture of herb cream cheese and salmon

Tomato, Mozzarella, rocket pesto and black pepper

Quiche

Scones

Fruit

Fresh Cream cakes (shop bought)

Vienesse Whirls Biscuits

Pretzels

Cupcakes

  Drinks

There were a huge selection of teas, as well as peach iced tea, sparkling elderflower and prosecco all served with engagement ring shaped ice!

Decor

You'll see in the pictures I've got all sorts on the table which all helped the theme I had going, the teapot with the flowers, food flags, floral plates & napkins, the birdcage cake stand, theres also a lovely little milk jug in the shape of a cow. We scattered the table with a few flowers too and some doilies which although not much to look at alone, had a lovely touch! I wanted something that had the Hen's name on the table I couldn't get hold of a mini chalk board in time so settled for a picture frame which was a nice little addition to the table and great for pics!
