Q: With your car running on fumes, where do you go in search of fuel-- left or right?
Left: The bloodrun state of Cokaygne, a former ally of Arcadia before the Battle of Oleum ( a brief war, recorded in Arcadian history as an effortless victory, for the power struggle for oil dominance. Cokaygne had lost this battle and was sucked dry of their resources by Arcadia . . . ). The city looks promising as it might still have oil reserves but there are rumors that special-type infected roam the streets.
Right: The antique village of Solitudini, an unimposing and harmless looking desert town. Solitudini is closer to the Outlasters than Cokaygne and seems less of a threat. However, though the little place offers the possibility of water, chances of any fuel at all are at a steady: 13%.

Q: With endless stretches of desert before you and no water in sight, where do you go -- north or south?
North: An arctic wonderland, everything frozen, brittle, trees just dark silhouettes against a bleak grey sky. Temperatures dip below 0° Celcius, only a few animals choose to linger in this wasteland, all of them painted stark white to blend in with their surroundings. Clouds brew overhead, a dark omen foretelling harsh winds and sheets of snow. It’s the dead opposite of the desert you’re currently trapped in, a frozen tundra instead of a burning wasteland.
South: A humid rainforest, trees drenched in fog, dark clouds hanging over the are, promising endless sheets of rain. Temperatures remain high, no relief from the horrific heat of the desert, and humidity skyrockets, creating a dangerous combination. Animals lurk in the trees, hide in the bushes, and poison lingers in every brightly colored beetle and nameless plant. It’s continuation of the hell you’re currently trapped in, with humidity and vibrant life added in.

U: (10/16)
The results of the poll have been tallied up-- and the majority of you leaned towards the “lock-in” option as opposed to it’s alternative ( the farewell party ). So, tomorrow night, this blog will be releasing an exclusive neatchat link that will be open at 6:00pm PST and will close at 7:00pm PST. What that will mean is that between those times-- all those who are interested in joining this event must log in and secure their spot-- and should you miss the mark . . . you will be essentially ‘locked out’ of the group exercise ! Don’t worry, though. If you fear for whatever reason that you might not be able to log in to the chat within those time constraints-- you can send in a message as early as now and request a private link which we will release to you.
This is what the lock-in will provide:
Sparring mats, training weapons ( an option for those who prefer to be productive during their last few hours )
A survivalism class ( required; non-roleplayable )
Limited screening of a movie of their choice ( movie poll will be taken later )
Sleeping bags
Refreshments and snacks
Plot-wise, the lock-in will last all throughout the night and the following morning would be the day they leave Arcadia. Make sure to make use of this time to forge friendships and build camaraderie. Note that the lock-in will be located in the training hall so the doors would be bolted from the outside-- making escape nearly impossible to do.
Have fun, enjoy yourselves, and know that you are the future of Arcadia.

For those of you that didn’t have the opportunity to join in on yesterday’s festivities– we have written a condensed summary of events for you to read at your leisure. The Neatchat link is still up and available for those who want to access the forum and take a look at before the main event. So, without further ado, let’s take a trip down memory lane and see what you missed this time on VivGo.
The Campaign began with Group 9X’s arrival in the desert just less than a hundred miles away from Arcadia. They decided to go West, in the direction of a shack / cabin, before a wave of tribal, cannibalistic warriors attacked them.
In a huge battle between the Outlasters and the warriors ( who were not infected ), they were able to get to the cabin just in time to meet someone new. Ollie, a special type infected, introduced himself and gave them an opportunity they could not pass up on. He would provide them all the transportation they would need in exchange for one thing:
Florence, Ariadne, and Rhys must give up their entire months worth of pills OR Cyrus and Anders must go into a nearby city to retrieve 3 gallons of water.
Deciding on the latter, Cyrus and Anders reluctantly embarked on a journey to the City of Souls. It had not been revealed by Ollie until the last possible minute that the city they were headed to was that belonging to the cannibal tribe they had just slaughtered.
In the meantime as the two avoided sandstorms and heat stroke to get to their destination, the rest of the Outlasters were forced into playing a game of Hide and Seek with Ollie-- where he would come chase them through the blacked and burnt forest beside the shack and hurt them should he “find” them.
This game resulted in multiple injuries including: Hunter’s dislocated arm and Camryn’s mutilated face.
While the Outlasters struggled to fight back against the seemingly immortal Ollie ( whose infected blood had given him near indestructible skin ), Cyrus and Anders managed to get to the City of Souls. However, through their Arcadian Status, they upset the leader of the tribe. In particular, he had found Cyrus’ attitude and defiance upsetting-- so he took Anders for punishment.
On the condition that Cyrus beg for forgiveness, the tribal warriors would return Anders unscathed. Too proud to perform a degrading act to a dishonorable man, Cyrus deftly managed to disarm and disorient the leader ( with a swift kick to the groin ) and grab Anders. However, their escape was short-lived as Anders was stabbed in the bicep by a huntsmen.
Back at the cabin where the Outlasters were entertaining the psychopathic and insane Ollie-- a few of the members were able to damage Ollie considerably. Hunter, with his corrosives, managed to burn off half of Ollie’s face. Miranda, with her impeccable accuracy, saved Camryn’s life ( an action contrary to the other night when she had held her at gunpoint ) through a precise shot to Ollie’s head. Clarabel, with her brute force and hatchet, challenged Ollie while the others were hiding or up a tree ( Rhys ).
After having had Miranda save her life, Camryn retreated to the cave where Azazel, Haven, and Donovan were sitting in wait. The atmosphere was thick and tense-- so Donovan left inspired to protect them as it was too dangerous to have so many people in an enclosed spacing.
At the City of Souls, Anders and Cyrus were lucky enough to get the water though it required a final standoff between Cyrus and the tribal leader. After attacking Anders and carving a flesh wound into his chest-- the leader then took the opportunity to fight Cyrus. The struggle had been originally in the leader’s favor until Cyrus turned the tables and killed him miraculously. They then began their journey home.
While the pair were on their way home, Ollie and the Outlasters ( a good name for a band, by the way ) were about to begin one last battle as well. The fight was interrupted when the two males staggered in with the water-- and upon Ollie’s demand for the water, Cyrus exasperated Ollie’s anger by refusing to cave and give him the water . . . thus putting everyone in danger. ( A situation similar to that of the Core trials where Donovan willingly put the rest of the team in danger because he refused to hand over the keycard ).
Upset by his disobedience, the rest of the Outlasters begged for him to do something. Azazel, in particular, took to Ollie and attempted to calm him down. He assured them that the disagreement would be solvable should they talk about it and Ollie was more than willing to cede to his request. However, when Donovan rose to his feet and begged for Azazel to step away from Ollie, the Watcher was enraged by the fact he wanted to take away the only kind person he had the pleasure of talking to.
Ollie threatened that should they not give him the water, he would instead drink from Azazel’s throat. This forced the Outlasters into immediate action however before they could hand him the water-- Azazel revealed that he had ingested poison into his blood and that if Ollie drank from him, he would perish.
Now that Azazel’s plan had been revealed before Ollie had a chance to drink his blood-- the sacrifice of him stepping into danger’s way was futile. Furious that Azazel had meant to hurt him by deceiving him, he lashed out and hit Camryn, broke Donovan’s arm, and went on to harm Haven next.
Gage was there to help slow down Ollie’s movements by shooting him repeatedly in the head but these actions did not kill the Watcher. While Ollie was being distracted, Camryn took the moment to ingest the same poison Azazel had in order to deceive Ollie for a second time ( this time not revealing the plan until later ).
Ollie, who had been attracted to Camryn’s boisterous and take-charge attitude from the start, fell for her invitation to kill her and drain her of blood. He drank but only later realized that he had been tricked. While on the last stretch of his life, he felt less of a Watcher and more of a human. Apologizing for his behavior, he admitted that the car keys were in a box on the side of the garage and the Outlasters were more than welcome to help themselves to it.
Once Ollie had died ( only after wasting the water Anders and Cyrus had nearly died for ), the team managed to recoup their losses and heal what they could of each other. Camryn and Azazel took the healing antidote, Gage took care of his brother’s wounds, and Clarabel took care of Anders’s wounds by applying the same paste Camryn had used on Donovan the night prior to this event.
After that, they split up into cars and continued heading West.

S: (10/16)
For those of you that didn’t have the opportunity to join in on yesterday’s festivities-- we have written a condensed summary of events for you to read at your leisure. The Neatchat link is still up and available for those who want to access the forum and take a look at before the main event. So, without further ado, let’s take a trip down memory lane and see what you missed this time on VivGo.
Deceiving the Outlasters into thinking that their last night would be spent watching movies, gossiping over sleeping beds, and training-- Director Irelan revealed the true intention behind the lock-in within minutes of the event. He would test Group 9X’s ability to work under pressure through a series of difficult events; ones that could ( and possibly would ) kill them.
The first event began with the gymnasium filling with a lethal but slow-acting gas. If unable to escape through the bolted doors within twenty three minutes, the Outlasters would face certain death and fail the lock-in trials. The walls were dry-rubbed with a chemical agent that would react poorly in combination with the leaked gas-- resulting in the burning and corrosion of skin; making escaping by windows a difficult feat.
Group 9X managed to bust through the doors only to find out that the test was far from over. The Core had been evacuated prior to the lock-in ( resulting in an eerily abandoned lot ) and the power had been completely cut off. Releasing stray Watchers into the headquarters in order to see their ability to adapt to new and unexpected variables-- Irelan instructed them to do what they were designed for and simply survive.
True colors began to emerge when people’s patience and courage were challenged by these increasingly stressful situations. Mi-Kyung and Anders formed a co-op, tag-team murdering alliance while fighting their way to safety. Miranda and Rosalind took the opportunity to hide and wait out the storm. Gage mistakenly thought Rosalind was a Watcher and almost shot her during the battle between humans and infected. Sera, Azazel, and Haven banded together to keep each other alive throughout the night.
By the third update of the night, it had been revealed that Donovan was taken from the group and strung unconscious in a room full of Watchers. The Outlasters’ objective was to locate him and save his life. The search and rescue mission was led by several different parties: Camryn, Mi-Kyung, Sera and Azazel, and more. In an effort to find Az’s friend, Sera killed her first Watcher-- noticeably affecting her mood and morale for the rest of the evening.
Camryn was the first to find and save Donovan, who had been tortured and beaten prior to entering the room. Due to his worsening condition and her festering wounds, finding help became an immediate priority. Donovan admitted to stealing a keycard from one of the guards while being dragged to the room-- and suggested they find medical attention. Passing the valuable torch to Mi-Kyung, he and Camryn followed after her as she cleared a pathway for the nurse’s office.
The forth update involved a PA transmission from Irelan praising the bravery and strength they displayed tonight-- however he acknowledged the missing keycard and demanded that the Outlasters hand over the stolen item and return to the gymnasium for disciplinary action . . . and should they disobey him-- they would risk getting shot by the Arcadian Forces.
Unwilling to cooperate and obey the Director, Donovan challenged his threats by volunteering to get shot first. After realizing that his position as an Outlaster was worth more than his life-- he decided to take Camryn and seek Yarrow; a medicinal herb that could potentially save their lives.
Gage, infuriated with Don’s refusal to stand down, paired up with Miranda to power-monger them into staying and surrendering. Keeping them held down at gunpoint, they demanded them to hand over the keycard and let the rest of them go free. Afraid to die or lose a brother, the two were on the breaking point and were more than ready to do whatever necessary to keep their own safe.
Refusing to cater to their demands due to his aggressive and progressive political views-- Donovan invited them to take their shot as he believed dying was better than folding in to the government.
By slight of hand and distraction, the keycard was moved back and forth between Camryn and Donovan ( finally ending securely with Camryn ) before they managed to break free of their captors and flee for the greenroom. Through an intense chase down the hallways, the two managed to get into the room just before the impenetrable doors closed down on them-- thus locking their assailants out.
Azazel’s relationship with Don suffered a massive blow as he ignored Az’s pleas to give in to the guards. Jeopardizing the lives of others in other to make a rebellious statement had been a selfish move on the other’s part-- and in his attempt to defy the government and set up a future for revolutionaries like himself . . . he lost the trust and respect of his best friend. Luckily, he was comforted by Haven who led him away from the spectacle.
Enraged by the two’s refusal to come out, Gage paced outside the greenroom, gun in hand, as Camryn and Donovan scrambled to find the ingredients to help save their lives. Moments after healing Don, Camryn passed out due to a massive blood loss. Beginning an urgent blood transfusion to repay the favor of her saving his life, Donovan watched as the room slowly filled with a strange gas. Forced between choosing to come out to face Gage or embrace the smoke-- he chose to stay with Cam in the greenhouse as they were in no condition to leave and face certain hell.
The two ended up becoming unconscious due to the sleeping gas and the government officials later retrieved their bodies in preparation for today’s Campaign.

U: DAY 1; The Wild West . ( III )
And they were off just like that; their retreating silhouettes bending and twisting in the hot summer wind. Your stomach is in knots, turning and tangling over the emotions built from this event, and Ollie is reveling in the attention. He positively glows. Running from corner to corner, he starts adding to a pile of junk in the middle of the yard. His movements are feverish and frantic-- and the rambling doesn’t help either. The atmosphere is tense as he proudly displays his work of art. A giant hill of broken glass, barb wire, and metal scraps. You think he’s going to make you do something psychotic-- like eat it from the bottom up-- but instead he sits down on it like a fucking throne.
Crossing his legs, he speaks, “I think it’s important to stay true to yourself, don’t you ?” The question is absurd and completely random but he continues anyway, “I’ve always been a child at heart. I love games ! Love them ! I love snacks and napping and having fun. I know you poor kids haven’t had much of that so how about this ? For a snack, I’d like to chew the flesh right off your bones. For a nap, I’d like to put you all to sleep-- tucking your precious little faces in your body bags. As for fun . . . well, we’re going to have a bit of that, won’t we ?” Ollie screams again, a long and blood curdling shriek, before settling down, “I want to play hide and seek. We’ve got about an hour or two to play. So why don’t you hide . . . and I seek ?”

U: DAY 1; The Wild West . ( II )
The shack turns out to be quite larger than it originally appeared from a distance . . . and upon closer inspection, it becomes obvious that this is the cabin of a family from way back when. The Golden Times, they called it. An era of peace, prosperity, and hope. Dust cakes the countertops in thick layers and the walls are decorated with photos. The frames are crooked and chipping apart-- but the images, though faded and desaturated from age, are still clear enough to see. A family. A mother, a father, and two little girls. Their absence makes the home, once lovely and quaint, feel lonelier.
The fridge has long been ransacked and the cupboard doors are falling off their hinges. The front door creaks and groans with the wind and the tables are still set as if welcoming you all to a dinner with ghosts. In the back, the cabin leads out to a yard. There are 2 pick up trucks, enough to fit six people on each vehicle, a minivan, a stationwagon, a Corvette, and four motorcycles. It’s bewildering to see these outdated machines sitting restlessly in the middle of nowhere. But a noise behind you seems to explain all. A man emerges from the shadows, his navy blue jumpsuit smeared with oil and dirt, and adjusts his cap on his head.
There are black veins crawling up his neck and thats how you know he’s a Watcher. He’s different than the ones you’ve seen at the Core. He hasn’t had decades of hunger to turn him into a starving killer. He is one of the special ones. The kind that the Core had warned them about. Cognitive, dangerous, and lethal. It’s scarier this time because he’s not just infected-- he’s smart, too. The man, whose nametag reads as Ollie, smiles at them-- his grin revealing charcoal teeth and bloodied lips. “Good afternoon, everyone. Outlasters, right ?” Ollie remarks as he hobbles over to the yard, “Beautiful creatures, aren’t they ?”
He motions behind him and gestures to the cars. “They keep me busy . . . makes the pain hurt less. Keeps me sane, I guess.” He cackles as he wipes his hands on a rag, “So . . . Arcadians, huh.” Sitting down on the hood of the Corvette, he pulls a knee up to his chest and rests his chin on it, “How’d you like it if we struck a deal . . . ? I can fix these cars up for you to take if you do me a favor. You interested ?” At their hesitancy, he nods, “I thought so. I’ll give you an option; how about that ? You three--” he points to Ariadne, Florence, and Rhys, “--give me your pills. All of them. It’ll help me survive a little longer, keep the darkness out. . . or you two--” he motions to Cyrus and Anders, “--can go out into the desert to get me some water. There’s a city a few miles away from here but they don’t take kindly to strangers. Not kind at all. You might die. Might not. Doesn’t matter to me !”
Ollie makes a noise thats between a scream and a laugh, “But you have to do it soon or else somebody is gonna die real soon. And you don’t want to see me when I’m not myself, do you ? Do you ?” He gets up, “What’s your choice ?”

U: DAY 1 ; The Wild West .
The smell of dust is stale and rancid-- like the Earth hasn’t seen rain in centuries-- and you can already feel the sweat dripping down your forehead. From behind you, a man grumbles something incomprehensible before ripping off your cloth bag. It takes you a few seconds to have your eyes adjust but when it does-- you wish you hadn’t opened them at all. Nothing has prepared you for this. Before you lies miles and miles of sun scorched land. Emptiness surrounds you and it is not only a shitty place to be ( since an enemy could spot you from lightyears away ) . . . but it’s also terrifying.
The driver begins boarding the bus and you can’t help but glance around you apprehensively. Now what ? Where do you go ? What can you do ?
Someone points to the West, “Look !”
All twenty four of you lean forward and spot a blurry dot in the horizon. Upon closer inspection, it looks like a shack.
“Let’s go,” you command as you hoist the backpack on your shoulders, “We don’t have time to waste.”
