Hi! I was wondering if you could let me know what type of 3d Printing software/printer you used to create those awesome versions of the eggs/cucurucho? I work in a library and my co-worker and I love what you made and were hoping to see if it's compatible with our machine! Thanks so much!
of course !!! i model them in the SketchApp free web version, which. isn't the best but it's free so y'know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ then sliced in Cura, and printed on a Voxelab Aquila C2 printer!

I AM HAPPY TO REPORT MANY MANY MANY DAYS LATER, AFTER AROUND 8 FAILURES, THE PRINT IS SUCCEEDING!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy!! The calibration for a big printer versus a small printer... You think I would've learned that jumping from the Voxelab Aquila to the Anycubic Chiron. But no. Going from Photon Zero to Photon Mono X was whiplash x1000 and required ENTIRELY different settings for the files. Rip. Well, at least I got it now!! :) Christmas dragon here I come!!!!!!
So 2 years ago, I bought a brand new 3D resin printer. That stuff isn't cheap. It was $360, basically the entire 2 week paycheck I had at the time. And it came in defective.
The printer needs a USB stick to save files to, and the motherboard it connected to soldered the port skewed, thus not allowing my stick to fit inside. I therefore couldn't print anything. So I contacted the company for a replacement, and they sent a new motherboard. 2 weeks for that to come in.
That was a pain in the ass to replace. Took like 2 hours with all the wires and ribbons.
Then the screen was black.
I contacted support again, and they sent a new screen. There's another 2 weeks.
That was simple to replace. But! It was still black. Nothing showed.
In my frustration, I gave up nearly entirely. I told myself I'd sell off the printer for $300 as defective and needing repair, buy a new one of the same model that actually worked (since it was the exact size I needed at the time and the largest printer at its time).
And for 2 years, it sat there, out of warranty, and I had no spoons to put toward the printer. Not to fix it, sell it, nothing. It just sat there on my desk for all that time collecting dust. Literally.
Until 3 nights ago.
I contacted support on a whim, hoping they would still aid me in my efforts despite the printer being out of warranty. I've had GREAT experience with all 3 printers I own so far from this company, and their support, no issues until I gave up. Well! To my surprise, they got back.
And over 3 days, we figured out I installed the one ribbon on the new screen backwards. And that was causing the black screen. For 2 years. It took me 5 minutes to fix everything and get the printer up and on. I set it up, leveled it, got the screws back in, everything. And now? I'm printing a gift for my sister: her favorite Pokemon. As a total surprise.
Then?
I'll print a dragon once I know this thing is fully working, and hide it in the Christmas village and see how long it takes my mom to notice lol.
For anyone who knows printers, it's the legendary Photon Mono X!

My new filament came in, and I can now see things in my print better.
Found out I was using the wrong profile on Cura, so I fixed that.
If anyone has any tips or tricks on 3D printing I would love to hear them.

Anyone want to buy my Voxelab Aquila 3D printer for $140 USD? It's in good condition, I just need more room in my bedroom. And I have no need for it anymore because of my bigger printer. This is a fantastic starter printer for small projects, and might need a nozzle replacement if you continue running into clogging issues. Will disassemble the frame but keep the gantry in tact for you. All you have to do is put the frame on. Comes with a brand new bottle of acetone to clean the printer with, and the allen keys needed to put it together.

Does anyone have any experience 3D printing tabletop minis with a Voxelab Aquila printer?
The test model works fine, but for the life of me I can’t filament to stick to the bed with anything else - the nozzle ends up dragging it around.
I tried using the Cura templates done by 3D Printed Tabletop, but they don’t work for me. Cura’s default Very Fine setting doesn’t work, either. My bed is level and cleaned with alcohol.

To think, about 5 years ago, I saved a dice tower 3D print that I thought, maybe, someday, I'd get a printer, and maybe, someday, I'd be able to print that tower. When 3D printing was still very expensive, and unheard of for the public, I'd done that. And yet here I am today, 5 years later, with the file saved across 3 different computers, and still in existence today, currently printing on my Voxelab Aquila 3D printer I have at home.  Patience is key, and can get you very far. I waited all that time for the market to go down on 3D printers, and now I own one for myself, going from little kid thinking it'd be impossible, to an adult who saved his ass off to buy this thing, and got it working after weeks of struggling. Never give up on your dreams. They take time, but they'll come around. I promise.

Ugh. I thought my Photon Zero needed a lot of maintenance, but nope. The Voxelab Aquila tops it, no doubt. This printer just got clogged, like hell, but at least the Photon Zero can’t get clogged. Ugggghhhhhh 3D printing is a hobby that requires so much work!!!!!

So my Mingda D2 finally died …like died died like I couldn’t even use a paddle to bring it back. Prints failed, PID tune failed, and the parts cooling port died. Soooooo. Well to add more lemons to my drink lol I bought a few Voxelab boards and screens unfortunately are HD32 chips Mother @&)&@@ …. ok I feel a little better. Well I’m the most curious person out there. Don’t always know what I’m doing but I try and share what I can. Right Scott Warrick and Yäzen Cummins MA DUDES!!! Well. I felt like adding a little more water to the mix and sugar. So I made the best lemonade. With the parts I can’t write marlin for, but there is a 220 build, and I have motors that are compatible. AIGHT BET.. I’m going to Tinkercad my way out of this !! On my DopeGod3D (facebook, Twitter, YouTube, tumblr, Instagram, tinkercad) I’ll have all my pictures. By end of week I should have my cults 3D account (or thangs 3D) to show all my work and stls Voxelabs Aquila D2 lol https://www.instagram.com/p/CS_YO3lrxFx/?utm_medium=tumblr
