1. They’re puppy dads because during his first visit to Roswell, James adopted a female puppy from the local animal shelter. He named her ‘Willow’, after ‘W.illow R.osenberg’, the witchy best friend of B.uffy S.ummers. Needless to say, the dogs, like their owners, become best friends.

2. Though both are excellent marksmen, James is often the one getting ‘up close and personal’ with their enemies while Alex covers him. 

3. It’s very rare for Alex to visit London, so when he does, James pulls out all the stops, from historical tours to pub hops. 

4. Since James often disappears for long periods of time because of his real work for Monarch, Alex thinks that he’s working for the MI6. In ‘retaliation’, James sometimes calls Alex ‘Agent Mulder’.

HEADCANON : halloween / autumn 001 

aziraphale has never been much for celebrating halloween , given its origins & the modernised bits of it revolving around horror , thus he’s never done much aside from set out a plain dish of candy outside the bookshop for anyone to take from. 

over the years , however , with a certain lovely demonic influence , he’s allowed certain exceptions. such as plain pumpkins to be scattered about the ‘shop , it began with one then multiplied to much more as the years continued on. usually aziraphale picks a favourite of the lot crowley brings & has it set near where he loves to read most. 

recently jack o’lanterns have been allowed as aziraphale carved one especially for crowley. & he’s made halloween themed treats ( not just autumn ones ) to share with crowley , sometimes to set out for patrons to distract them from the books. but mostly to share during off hours with a certain demon in the back of ‘shop over mulled wine or hot cocoa. 

after the apocalypse that wasn’t , he wants to physically pass out candy to children & see their costumes. as well you can see him on the 31st wearing an orange & black bow tie instead of his usual tartan one. he may even down dress to a halloween themed sweater over his shirt , but most likely after hours. as well he’d like to attend a pumpkin patch. 

he definitely would be one for scary stories , such as rereading some of the works of edg.ar al.lan p.oe , mar.y shell.ey’s franke.nstien , washingto.n irvin.g’s the leg.end of slee..py hallow , she.ridan le fa.nu’s ca.rmilla , gertu..de atherton’s the str.iding place , & ale.geron blackwo.od’s the w.illows. perhaps a few more , & there’s the few he & crowley share that are more comedies than scary as they started them. 

in terms of cottage life , the front garden would be decorated to appease crowley. although he does enjoy setting it up & seeing it transform into something entirely new each year. he too enjoys passing out candy to the children. he isn’t much for costumes on himself , but he admires the creativity of most & whatever crowley decides to wear. he does bake a lot more during this time , christmas is the only time of the year that outdoes it in way of baking. 

he knits a lot more during autumn as well. scarves & mittens especially. mainly for the upcoming winter / christmas time , but they make for nice presents around this time of year as well , to send to charity & gifts for crowley , & the small number of neighbours they’ve befriended. not to mention , the them , anathema , newt , shadwell , & madame tracy. 

yes , he does nick from the candy bowl , but he always has extra on hand to replace whatever he takes. 

too he has a sewing kit near the door in case anyone’s costume may need a quick repair. although it’s usually solved more with a little miracle than actual sewing so that it doesn't take too much of the children’s time & sometimes costumes need more than a bit of needle & thread.
