Zense Coupling is a recent shoujo manga by Kakitsubata Waka that ran from 2018 to 2020, as it’s so new and wrapped up fairly quickly it doesn’t have much of a following however it’s really really good!

A fluffy and sweet romance that never brought me too far down, a soothing balm for the soul.

The plot is this: Once upon a time, cruel fate led four couples to never meet their happy ends. But now, years later, all eight people have been reincarnated, and some retain memories of their previous lives! 

Even reincarnation is not able to stop their love, be it between a princess and her butler, a master and his cat, a hot-headed man and his equally hot-headed arranged fiancée, or a devoted man and his sickly lover. 

But that doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing, even though they’re in the modern era there are still obstacles, for example one of the characters was born significantly younger than his love this time and she doesn’t remember him so views him as a cute little child, for another, she struggles with the wall between them as both of them remember their past lives and the person she likes continues to treat him as if she outranks him and he’s subordinate to her despite being classmates now. Personally my favourite was the one with the girl who was a cat in her last life falling in love with her old owner romantically, it was definitely the funniest and I enjoyed him rationalising that she was just acting like a pet so there was no reason to worry about her having feelings for him for real... up until there was!

An enjoyable tale featuring more than one romance where the characters in the couples sometimes overlap and interact with each other, similar to how manga like Horimiya and Dear Only You Don’t Know work but in 4 koma style like Tsurezure children!

This manga’s relatively short especially with the 4 koma format and it’s really very fun. 

If you like light-hearted, cute romance, go for it!

You’ve probably seen this one around already, but I’m here to recommend it! This show is also a manga, but I can’t find it anywhere, so if you do see it please tell me.


I actually found this anime when I was looking up tsundere boys ( because tsundere boys deserve love too), but after I watched a couple of episodes, I was thinking, “Hold up, these actions are kind of stalkerish, and dare I say, yandere like…” Akkun is a good example of what a hybrid tsundere yandere is like, as well as a good comedic yandere.

Anyways, the premise is about the boy Akkun dating Non-tan. Akkun always acts like a tsundere around Non-tan, usually calling her uggo as a nickname, but having a lot of dere-dere moments as well. Non-tan also notices that Akkun usually acts like a tsundere and is very cute and childlike sometimes but in general she doesn’t have much characterization to be honest. Akkun on the other hand takes pictures of Non-tan from afar, records her voice and gets real jealous when her sister tries to get near her. Non-tan has no idea that Akkun does this, but his friend Matsuo does. Between Akkun and his friend, they have a double act style comedy, where Akkun is the funny man and Matsuo is the straight man. There are a couple of other couples in this show too like the Matsuo and Akkun’s sister, a very hyper school girl and her teacher, etc.

The show is very cute, but each episode is really short and nothing really huge tends to go on in each episode. The whole thing can probably be binged in less than a hour, but it really is fun and generally wholesome despite Akkun’s stalker tendency.

SYNOPSIS :

The romantic comedy follows the everyday life of an extremely tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted) boy named Atsuhiro "Akkun" Kagari and his girlfriend Non "Nontan" Katagiri. Akkun's behavior is harsh towards Nontan with verbal abuse and neglect, but he actually is head-over-heels for her and habitually acts like a stalker by tailing her or eavesdropping. Nontan is oblivious to Akkun's stalker ways, and thinks his actions are cute.

L’anime è in onda dallo scorso 6 aprile e sarà composta da 25 episodi della durata di 4 minuti ciascuno. In Italia è trasmessa in simulcast, sottotitolata, sulla piattaforma di streaming Crunchyroll.

Akkun e Nontan sono cresciuti assieme e col tempo, la loro amicizia, si è trasformata in amore. Nonostante siano fidanzati, Akkun è sempre molto duro e freddo con Nontan ed è parecchio lunatico. Ma questo è il modo di Akkun di esprimere il suo amore per Nontan e lei non sembra curarsene troppo.

La serializzazione del manga è cominciata nel giugno 2013 sulle pagine della rivista Comic Gene in June 2013. L’opera viene pubblicata regolarmente anche su pixiv. Il capitolo finale è appena uscito e Kadokawa rilascerà l’8° ed ultimo volume il 27 giugno.

Waka Kakitsubata Launches New Manga

Waka Kakitsubata has launched a new manga series on LINE Manga as part of Kadokawa’s new “Gene LINE” label. The manga is titled Oitsukenaishi Modorenai (Can’t Catch Up, Can’t Go Back).

Kadokawa launched Gene LINE on April 27, 2018. The service updates daily with both Japanese and foreign comics, and will launch a series every day until May 10, 2018.
