[1/2] i've always wanted to req smth w/ kazu and him being an art kid but held back bUT NOW THAT U MENTION MY BEST BOY. may i request kazu getting little sketches/mini-art pieces but like,, there's no name written down as to who sent it. basically they're like,, anonymous love letters but instead of words there's just drawings. occasionally there's a phrase or a sentence on it but that's the most he gets so he tries to find the mystery sender

Miyoshi Kazunari: 

Kazunari loves the mystery behind the little pieces of art that are left for him to find, even addressed to him with his name written in handwriting that he can almost recognize. He doesn’t know what to do with them at first but he likes to display them in his room, telling anyone who asks that they come from a secret admirer (his dorm mates are skeptical, but he insists he didn’t make them himself). 

He really starts to look forward to receiving these little gifts every day but he starts to snoop around, asking his growing list of acquaintances if they know the art style or if they’d seen anyone leaving them around for him to find. Since most of his investigations come up blank he considered actually leaving it alone, but when you give him a piece of art that makes his heart jump in his chest he knew he had to find you. Even if you didn’t want something romantic in nature with him, he could only see the benefits of forming a close relationship with a fellow artist. 

Kazunari isn’t the stealthy and quiet type but this day he was, hidden in the area where you’d normally leave the sketches or paintings for him. He jumps out and scares you half to death, catching the canvas you’d been carrying before it hit the floor. He begs you not to run away from him, wanting nothing more than to talk before he launches into a long rant gushing about how your art made him feel an array of emotions that he could only hope to inspire with his own paintings. 

He gives you his number without a moment of hesitation, telling you to DM him some time so he can get some creative advice. A friendship begins where two fellow artists exchange tips and tricks to their art, sending sketches back and forth with both criticism and praise. In such a short amount of time, Kazunari begins to realize you’re the only person he tended to reply to immediately, wanting to hear what you had to say and trying to learn even more about you. 

Kazunari wasn’t as shallow or stupid as some people liked to think he was, so he knew from the very beginning that he was going to fall for you and he was falling faster than intended. He’d been working on a painting for awhile, an original one, hoping that it could properly display his feelings for you. If you didn’t see it and understand what he was saying then he had failed as a man and an artist. 

The painting and colors are a mixture of your style and his, a beautiful blending of two talents that he hoped got his point across. He’s nervous as he leaves the painting for you to find, texting you that he’d left you a gift before silencing his phone, wondering if he would even be able to emotionally handle your response. He checks back, again and again, almost giving up after a solid hour of silence from your part before you sent him a text asking to meet up. 

He could actually cry from relief at the happy smile you show him, telling him that this was without a doubt your new favorite piece of art (that you’d be displaying in your room since it had scribbled on the back ‘for your eyes only’). Instead of crying, though, he shows his gratitude for all the joy you’d brought to his life by bringing you into a tight hug, thanking you for being who you were and showing him the power of being himself.
