Now that I look back at it, what if Ava didn’t fall into the lake because of Beatrice or because she lost focus, but because that was the first time the Halo gave out on her?

I know the timing of “Concentrate” was pretty funny (you tell someone not to look down, they look down), but Ava was making great headway up to that point, and this clearly wasn’t a new training exercise. She was running a clear path, keeping a good pace, and the finish line was in sight (hi, Bea!). The Halo glowed steadily through her sweater, alive and working.

And while we don’t see the Halo go out because of the camera angle, we can hear the noise it makes. It’s like a machine short-circuiting.

Ava feels it fail and that’s when she panics. That’s when she stumbles and plunges into the water.

Ava does tell Beatrice that she’s tired afterwards, but this “glitching-out” noise is consistent with all the other times the Halo fails: the Prado Museum, the church fight, training in the courtyard, the hotel where she falls from the sky, the roof of Adriel’s cathedral. And it always catches her by surprise while she’s performing tasks that she’s become very confident in (flying, phasing, etc.).

When the Halo is activated, it begins with that gentle, high-pitched ringing noise. The Halo pulses have that added “Whee!” with the burst of light.

But while it’s on and working for extended periods of time, the ringing is quite muted. It’s only when Ava draws on more of its power that it flares up again.

This is only episode one, but Adriel has already amassed a following in those two months since his release. His churches and crosses have gone up, as we see in episode two with the FBC and Kristian’s usurpation of Arq-Tech in 2×04. The stronger Adriel gets, the faultier the Halo becomes.

But I also wonder if Ava’s determination to succeed/fear of letting everyone down ever caused her to overexert the Halo on top of that.

Guys, I just realized something

Call me mad, but these looks like two different angles from the same moment shared between Ava and Beatrice. I mean, look at what Ava says, it looks like the same word, and she does the same head tilt. Also, same movements from Beatrice too, like the hand placement and the getting closer... I'm wondering how many times they shot it and what is Ava saying??

I get that everyone is focused on that spectacular dream of a ship that is Avatrice but can we stop for a moment to appreciate the marvelous badass that is Lilith?

Let’s talk about “the glance”! Yeah, the look between Ava and her coworker and why Bea is an oblivious bean!

Beatrice probably thinks Ava and Hans looking at each other might be romantic or something because in her mind Ava is probably straight, but she couldn’t be more wrong! Hans has definitely seen how Avatrice interact with each other and probably suspects that these two have a crush on each other!

BTW, "the boss wants a word"! I wonder how many times has Bea and Ava had those private 'boss-employee' chats? Certainly more times than necessary and more times than Bea has needed to talk to Hans, and you can't convince me otherwise! So the Ava-Hans moment is a “The boss has the hots for you Ava!"-glance!

But let’s speculate even further. It's very likely that Ava, in several ocassions, especially if she's had a drink or two, wasn't able to shut up about how perfect Bea is. The guy must have known by now that Ava has it bad for Bea! Remember the thirsty look in Ava’s face when she was dancing with Bea later on? (I’m sure you don’t need me to refresh your memory, but I need an excuse to include this pic)

Yes that look! This can not be the first time Ava looked at Bea that way. If Hans hasn't noticed before then he's blind! So, again, the Ava-Hans moment might as well also be a "Ava I see you have the hots for the boss!"-glance!

turns out Sister "Nuns Don't Fidget" didn't actually break the habit. Where in Season 1 Beatrice physically restrains herself from fidgeting by clasping her hands or folding her arms or gripping her wrist, Beatrice starts Season 2 with her hands constantly in motion

The part I love best about tranquilized Beatrice is that she's still never far from Protective Girlfriend Mode. She's all woozy, still trying to get her bearings. Then Ava gets yeeted through the theatre door and she's like: Aaah!

She practically throws herself after her.

Even in the first episode, after drinking all night with Ava in the bar, she runs full-pelt into that street fight and takes down every person in sight. Bea's always ready to go.

Good thing it was only Camila this time or she'd have been aikido'd in the throat.

One of my favorite things about being in a fandom is that we get information that normal people don't. In regards to Warrior Nun, unless you're in the fandom, aka on Tumblr, or Twitter, even Facebook or TikTok, you wouldn't know so many things. We keep learning things too.

For example: Taking off the cardigan in the bar, the almost kiss in 2x05, the forhead kiss in 2x08... All Alba Baptista. The coming out scene in 1x08 was made what it is because of Kristina Tonteri-Young. We learned from one of the writers, that they decided that there was only one bed in the Switzerland apartment. We learned from KTY through a Cameo, that during that jealousy scene in 2x02, when the girl whispers something in Beatrice's ear she said "I want to lick you" which is why we got the reaction we got. KTY said in an interview that the church fight was 80% the actors and wasn't just the stunt doubles. Olivia Delcan said that if not for the way she portrayed Camila, they were going to kill her off in Season 1.

We got behind the scenes footage of Ava and Beatrice doing wire work in the church where they couldn't keep from laughing the whole time. Or KTY mentioned in an interview that she totally face planted in the theatre in one of the takes.

We've even seen footage of how they filmed Lilith's fight at the end of 2x01.

So basically, being apart of a fandom isn't something to be ashamed of and if someone tries to make you feel bad about it, ignore them. There are people on all platforms that are right there with you. :D

Warrior Nun has taken over my brain for the past 3 weeks including when I listen to music so I'm making my thoughts about these lyrics and Ava everyone else's problem too. Sharing is caring!

She wanted to live, explore, adventure. She tried to run away. But in the end she went back to the OCS.

Trapped hiding in Switzerland, didn't get to go sightseeing in Madrid. She would've daydreamed for ages about all the places she wants to visit if she ever got feeling back and yeah we see she's happy to some extent but she's still with the OCS. Even though she's there by choice she's not Free. Not in the way she most likely hoped she would be for 12 years.

Back to season 1 again, she just wanted to Live and be happy and free.

But instead her freedom and happiness was almost immediately tainted by the ability to see wraiths (and the tarask attack). She tried to ignore them, she wanted to, but couldn't.

Years stuck with TV and no actual reality to compare it to. I'm sure she knew TV was different from reality but there's a real possibility she still wasn't fully prepared for how harsh reality truly is.

In 2x01 she blames herself for Adriel being free and everything else. Nobody wants to feel like they've put the entire world in danger but she can't just run away and leave everyone.

Given the circumstances and everything happening she obviously isn't happy in the last few episodes of s2. We barely see her smile in the last few episodes. She doesn't want to die, again. She wants to run away with Bea even if that means hiding again. But she won't just run away when she has the chance to kill Adriel and save the world, her family and the girl she loves.

Now yeah sure this is all just my own opinion, maybe I'm wrong with some or all of it. But what good is having tumblr if I can't make my thoughts everyone else's problem.
