I know we want to live . I know we have so much to look forward to. But when this uappens over and over and we can never be free. It feels useldss. Why are we wasiny away like this. Why cant things go right.

The Wasini Beach Management Unit (BMU) is at the forefront of seagrass restoration and trains other BMUs in the region to do the same. The BMU also raises community awareness on the significance of seagrass and how to restore it. The team has successfully restored seagrass beds and coral reefs, but the construction of a nearby fishing port could erase their progress. Seagrass is essential as a breeding ground for fish, food for marine life, and protection from strong waves. Kisite National Park, Diani, Kenya

Drove to the Shimoni port (last big fisherman Kenyan port before Tanzania border), then sailed to the park. During the sailing the boys swam with dolphins.

We did a bit of snorkeling, then sailed to Wasini Island, a very old fishing village without paved roads, electricity or running water.
