Whoosh!! Meeting #BimboOloyede at the #ReportWomen event organized by @wsoyinkacentre in November has to be one of the highlights of my year. Is it too obvious how excited I was? Been a long time I was that animated! She was so warm though, so graceful, so regal. With over 40 years (oh my God) of broadcast experience, Madam Oloyede was a pioneer member of the Network News team, and the first woman to cast nationwide network news. Yep, Yep! There's something about broadcasters from that era, the clarity of their speech, the intelligence of their conversations, and their diction. Oh Lord, their diction! Anyway, I'm getting animated again.
