I miss being 22 so much, omfg. It was right before my hubs and I started dating and WOW I used to go out every night, take a drunk nap at my store after the bars closed then I would open my store at 3am. I used to play competitive beer pong and do my makeup everyday—I MISS BEING 22.

And at the time, I was like “man, y’all are babies” to my other baristas and now I’m usually the oldest person on the floor 😫😫😫

Hello lovely! I was wondering if you could do Momo and Ochako with a female reader that’s quirk is to be ridiculously lucky and unlucky at random times so it would be like she could walk though a highway and just barely miss every car there but then she could get coffee spilled on her right before it snows in the beginning of fall so she’s just learned to be prepared for almost anything and is always on edge and is hesitant to get an a relationship with them? Sorry if that’s excessive ^~^”

Momo:

Momo is someone who had to learn to trust in her own abilities and judgment and quirk. It took a lot of outside encouragement and practice, though

When Momo learns more about her friend’s quirk, she can sense hesitation, because while being “lucky” sounds like a dream come true, being equally “unlucky” sounds like a curse. She can’t have one without the other

As they become closer and Momo starts to develop a crush, she gives you gifts like special teas and wants to take you to cute new cafes around town, but you decline all invitations at first out of fear that you might spill something on yourself or her, or end up making a total mess of things

Momo takes this as a sign that you don’t return her feelings, though, and backs off from her advances as a result not wanting to make you uncomfortable

After several weeks of trying to avoid each other, the two of you end up running into one another at the grocery store. Momo hesitantly asks if you’re upset with her over her feelings, unaware that you feel the same

You explain that you’re afraid your quirk will ruin things or make a mess of your relationship so you figured it best to just…dismiss her advances, as rude as it may have seemed

Momo assures you that she can handle a bit of bad luck. If her clothes wind up dirty on accident, she can technically just make some new ones with her quirk. She can think on her goes and resolve situations with her quick thinking. So, she asks you out on a date once more and this time you accept

Occasionally bad things do happen - you dropped a piece of cake all over another customer during your first date, another time you tripped and fell into a mud puddle - but sometimes really good things happened too

Momo is very patient and understanding when bad luck does pop up and openly takes the good with the bad because you can’t change who you are, and she would never ask you to, either

Ochaco:

She’s always worked hard for everything she has because her family didn’t grow up with much, so she’s a very thrifty spender and only buys things she absolutely needs

She’ll consider herself personally “lucky” if she finds good sales or freebies

When she first starts hanging out with you she doesn’t know about the unlucky half of your quirk, and you end up finding some lost money on the ground, which you end up using to take her out to lunch: free food? smitten

You start falling for her, she starts falling for you…but your quirk makes you hesitant to enter into any kind of romantic relationship, because while things could go very well one day, they might go very wrong the next

She’s strong willed, but also incredibly embarrassed about her feelings and actually asking you out, which proves to be an internal battle of who will win out (clue: her friends shove her in the right direction with enough encouragement)

By now she’s aware of your feelings towards your quirk, so she doesn’t give you the option of running away when she asks you out, her face bright red as she accidentally makes herself float

You managed to calm her down and explain your reservations. Ochaco deserves to be with someone who won’t hold her back, right? Who won’t ruin opportunities on accident…right?

“Well, think of it this way,” she says. “If you drop something, I can just make it float with my quirk so it won’t spill or break! How’s that?” Her solution was so simple, but of course it wouldn’t work all the time. She couldn’t catch everything and make the bad luck go away

“After the bad luck, only good luck can come after.” So, with that you decide to give it a shot

You do spill things, or knock things over, and mess things up, and Ochaco does catch some of them, and prevent messes from happening. But some hugs and cuddles make the bad feelings go away, just for a little while
