A Circular Economy Solution: End Products of Waste Tyre Pyrolysis
Waste tyre pyrolysis is a technology that has gained traction in recent years as a sustainable solution to dealing with discarded tires. Pyrolysis is a process that involves heating tires in the absence of oxygen to break them down into their constituent parts. This process results in the production of three main end products: fuel oil, carbon black, and steel wire.
Fuel oil is the primary end product of a waste tyre pyrolysis plant. This oil is similar in composition to diesel fuel and can be used in a variety of applications, including powering generators or boilers, and as a fuel in industrial furnaces. The quality of the fuel oil produced by a pyrolysis plant can vary depending on factors such as the quality of the feedstock and the design of the plant. However, with the right equipment and processes in place, high-quality fuel oil can be produced that can be sold or used in-house to offset energy costs.
Carbon black is another end product of the process. This wire has a high tensile strength and can be recycled multiple times, making it a valuable resource that can be recovered through pyrolysis.
Overall, the end products of a waste tyre pyrolysis plant have the potential to generate significant economic and environmental benefits. By converting discarded tires into valuable resources, pyrolysis plants can create new revenue streams, reduce the demand for virgin materials, and divert waste from landfills.
