 According to a new consumer study that examines the routines and lifestyles of smart home users in the US, smart house technologies are helping to bridge the digital gap for older, less tech-savvy consumers. While most research on the subject has concentrated on the technology, this new report - the LG ThinQ® Smart Home Report for 2021 - uncovers unique data regarding how smart technology is improving people's daily routines across the board, regardless of age or technological proficiency.

Users who were less tech-savvy were more satisfied with their smart homes, according to the study, which found that users who were less tech-savvy were more satisfied with their smart homes, with twice as many users in the 50-54 age group (60.0 percent) saying they were "very satisfied" with their smart homes and products as those in the 25-29 age group. The findings demonstrated that anybody can enjoy smart homes, regardless of their level of tech knowledge or age, and that they can help close the digital divide by providing all consumers with easier-to-use solutions.

When it comes to leisure time, respondents who enjoy gardening ranked the remote control/voice command function of refrigerators, smart TVs, and washing machines as the top three most-used features, which enable hands-free home control even in the garden.
