Wayne x Reader General Headcanons!

He has gotten his horns stuck around you before when getting up. Dumee man

He is big. Brick shithouse big. Regardless, he will wear your clothing, or try to. You can also wear his but it's super baggy.

Speaking of, most of his suits have some kind of scuff or mark on them from fights.

Also you had to help him get unstuck from a pull on one after a hornless Wayne left theirs at the Wayne house.

The Wayne larva are very cuddly and when you two cuddle, they crawl on you two happily.

Old Wayne is not any original Wayne, but the start of the species. The God, the first mold even. OUR fella was just one of the few who shares the most characteristics with him, like a large vocabulary, the chillness, and his classic cheesey yellow.

This was freaky at first but as soon as you got to know some of the others, you realized your Wayne was distinct in that he slept similarly to OW, on his stomach.

Moving on from brain thoughts, oops. He can crack all his joints. His neck can multiple times, too. Freaky. <3

Do you think you could do some more general Hylics Wayne x reader headcanons since the absent moon lore stream came out?

Welp. This is gonna be. Interesting to say the least! Broke a lot of my personal Canon so let's get into it!

Wayne X Reader: Absent Moon

So.... Hylics 1 Wayne is Hylics 2 Old Wayne. It seems that the older a Wayne gets, the more they evolve into something almost eldritch in nature. If you're into that, great! But eventually, as he settles into his big form, he will check in to make sure you still want to be with him, even with him unable to do a lot of what he used to normally. He's a giant creature now and a lot of things... changed. *coughcough*

But if you do stay, you can decide to become like the... not a caretaker per say since he can still do what he used to, but the person who brings stuff to him, either from people around the place or his friends. He still loves you, and his friends. But with the changes to the world and him, there hasn't been much contact. It scares him but he doesn't know how to show it.

Well, Hylics 2 Wayne is not Hylics 1 Wayne if you end up with him and not Old Wayne. Prime Wayne (Aka Hylics 2 Wayne as called by the dudes) is thinner but fit. (Kinda how a lot of fanart draws him as?) He's also more... grunge in appearance and is the closest to Old Wayne in personality, but not if that makes sense.

After Hylics 2, the other Waynes start to have their own individuality as well and even mutate, apparently, so it's not uncommon to find Waynes of differing moon types. (So Wayne OCs are canon, which. I love personally! :3)

Since a lot of Waynes were connected to big guy, some may have lingering feelings for you. How you deal with this is up to you.

Regardless! Plus side to big guy Wayne! You can hide under with him during the rain, he can walk around with you on his back, and if you're around him, most creatures are intimidated by his size alone!

He has learned a LOT of magic and can use it to scare the few who aren't scared by his size off.

He doesn't know a lot that's happened lately since he's also been distant like Wayne Prime. Like his cat mutated and became aggressive, or that Pongorma is uh... dead dead. For now, anyway.

But yeah. Wayne, huh?

Wayne x Reader: A Little Care, A Lotta Kindness

Wayne may be chill, but they're attentive. He notices when you don't talk care of yourself.

He's gentle when coaxing you. Though if you get stubborn about it, they have no qualms about picking you up and helping you into bed or into a warm bath.

Wayne constantly checks up on you and has set timers for food. They will sit there and watch you eat if he has to.

He doesn't mind having to do it either. Pongorma got this way too at one point and they had to stop them too.

He will occasionally step back to also take care of himself. Wayne knows it's a balance.

They will make personal care a part of your schedule and that is both a promise and a threat. /lighthearted

Hi, I hope you're having a nice day today. I technically have 2 requests prompts, but you can pick if you wanna do both or just one. If you don't want to do either of them that's completely fine too, but both are Wayne (Hylics) x Reader cause there's like barely any of those at all and we all need more of the moon man. -The Reader beings having a nightmare about Wayne and crew dying from an unbeatable enemy, but Wayne tries waking them up to comfort them.

-Wayne and crew along with the Reader, who's a decently powerful fighter, go to face Gibby after he was brought back. Gibby manages to take down the Reader but they also drag Gibby down with them before they fully melt and get sent to the Afterlife. Wayne and crew rush to get to the portal in the Waynehouse to get to the Afterlife.

Night Woes

Flesh and blood swirled at your feet and you couldn't even move, watching your beloved and his friends melt away. Little did you know, you were shaking bad in the bed next to Wayne.

Waking up from the shakes, Wayne sat up and saw you and the fearful look on your face as you slept. They carefully shook your shoulder.

"Hey. Hey, wake up. You're just having a nightmare. [___]!"

You shot up swinging which caused him to back up, almost falling off his bed in the process. After gathering your bearings, you huffed before looking up at Wayne and immediately patting his face and horns, making sure he was still okay.

"Are you alright?" His voice may have been calm but the worry in his eyes was clear.

"Mm. I'm just... glad you're okay." You clung to him, with him patting your back with one hand and digging through their bag with the other for a juice box.

"Take a breather. Here." They gave you the juice box, a straw already set up for you an sat as they watched you drink it down before laying back down.

"Stay with me. Please?" You whisper, looking up at him.

"Of course, baby." He places your head in his lap, gently rubbing your cheek with the back of his knuckles. With warmth around you, you were able to quickly fall back asleep.

For If I'm Going Down, I Guess I'll Take You With Me

The smell of gore was in the air as you and the crew fought, with you facing the brunt of many of Gibby's attacks. His damn smile burning into your memory. It may have taken him a while to fell you, but it wasn't just you going down.

"You really think you can get away from fate that easy?" You grin before grabbing the sides of his face, and with the last of your power as you melted, you crushed his skull like a cup. His body stumbled before crumbling to the ground, melting with you.

"See you on the other side, hon." You grin up at Wayne before the rest of you fell away into the Afterlife. Wayne could only stand in horror and shock before being picked up by Pongorma.

"There is no time to waste. If Gibby is with them, then there will be more trouble. Let's get going." The tall Dark Knight mumbled.

The four ended up quickly back at the Waynehouse, with Wayne leading them to the basement. Jumping in the pool was the easy part, though waiting for the half solid, half liquid mass to spit you into the Afterlife was an issue since it sunk them in so slowly.

You were found lazing on the beach, staring up at the orange sky before being tacklehugged by your moon dear. After some sputtering, flailing and flying sand, you two sat up with him clinging to you.

"You badass! You did it!!" Wayne laughed, squeezing you tight.

"I suppose I did." His giddiness made you smile and look to the others.

"Glad you're okay." Somsnosa pat your head.

"We should rest here for a while. After all of that, I think a nap for some of us is an order." Dedesmuln clapped their hands together, plopping into the sand next to y'all.

Another world-threatening crisis averted, thanks to Wayne, you, and the crew.

Wayne x Reader: A Bit Of Comfort

Cw for s=lf harm, mainly past stuff!

It wasn't uncommon for you to come over to Wayne's house and just hang out. So when you did this day, the others didn't think much of it, and neither did Wayne until you crumbled onto his bed, hugging him tightly.

He held you close and starting petting you. "What's wrong?"

"Everything sucks right now, and my thoughts are getting overwhelming again." You pressed your face into his chest, which made him sigh.

"Come here, I'm all ears for you." Wayne smiles down at you, cuddling you and petting your head gently. He pulls his bag close to his bed, digging out some juice boxes and cookies.

"It's just... well... everything in me wants to start self harming again. And I'm scared but I also don't know if I have the energy to resist it."

"Oh hon..." Wayne sits you on his lap, "It's going to be okay. You're going to be okay." He carefully takes your wrist and runs his hand along it, checking for any new cuts and careful to avoid directly rubbing against older scars in case it upset you. Once he's certain there aren't any, Wayne kisses your cheek.

"Stay with me for as long as you need. I'll make dinner for us tonight, even." He kisses you again before pressing you closer, wrapping the two of you in a blanket.

He vowed to keep a close on you the entire time you were there and kept to it.
