Bakugou Katsuki is not as bad as he seems.
Okay, fine. That's a lie. Bakugou is a loud and obnoxious asshole with little to no character development and will snap at anyone who breathes on him the wrong way.
Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to why he's like that.
You all know what PTSD is, yeah? If not, it stands for "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder". It's something that causes panic attacks, unnecessary aggression, trust issues, nightmares, anxiety, depression, and more. People will develop it after a traumatic experience. It takes years of therapy to recover... actually, most people never recover from it.
Fun fact: Katsuki canonically has PTSD. It's confirmed, and you know what? After everything he's been through, it's not much of a surprise. He's been through one tragedy after another and never seems to get a break.
When we first met Bakugou Mitsuki (Katsuki's mother) in chapter #96, we instantly realized how aggressive she was. I mean come on! She talked smack right in front of him and his teachers- in front of All Might who she knew her son was very fond of. Katsuki may be irritable, but to have your own mother backhand you in front of your own role model is a little much.
Tumblr media
Later on in chapter #165 during the Provisual License Exams, we get a little more information that only points towards more abuse- and this time it's not so verbal.
Most people paid no real attention nor gave it a second thought in these panels, but remember when Katsuki suggested to use violence against the kids? Of course, you'd look at it and wave it off as "normal Bakugou behavior", but what he says next took me by surprise:
Tumblr media
That's right. He was raised that way.
Which means either Mitsuki or Masaru (or both) had struck him in some way multiple times as he was growing up, and I doubt it was Masaru.
"Spoiled" my ass. He might have a strong quirk, but people don't turn into little monsters just by being praised. It'll definely boost his confidence, but not dramatically. This could also explain his aggression toward Midoriya. He realized how helpless he was and had power over someone else for once. But that's just a theory.
Okay, let's fast forward a bit. He's finishing up his third year of Middle School and is preparing for the UA entrance exams. He's pushed away his childhood friend to follow his own dreams and tells him to jump off the roof.
Tumblr media
Literally.
And then he walks out the door only to regret it much, much, muuuch later in the series- y'know. The "character development" I was talking about.
Next time we see him though, he gets what he deserves.
One panel he's tramping through an alley with his friends, and the next, he's being swallowed alive by the most perverted-looking slime monster I've ever laid my eyes on.
Tumblr media
While Izuku's dreams are being crushed by his own hero, Katsuki is fighting for his life in the middle of town. He's struggling, but all he could do was look back at all the dozens of fearful eyes...
Right there. Right now. Look at him:
Tumblr media
He's terrified. He's humiliated and afraid and hurt and despite all of the heroes that were there, none of them had even attempted to save him.
And this is where it really starts. This is where it all begins. Next thing we know, Izuku's running straight for him... The boy Katsuki's bullied almost all of his life is risking his own in order to save him.
You know the story from there; All Might trains Izuku to withhold his power, they get accepted into UA, and then comes the Sports Festival.
Katsuki's already made up his mind: he's gonna win. He's willing to give everything he has to show the country what he's made of, and this may be his only chance to make up for the mishap several months ago. And Monoma, being a professional at making things worse by opening his mouth, rubs salt in the wound.
Tumblr media
It was pretty easy to predict Katsuki's reaction: pissed off and more than ready to prove him wrong. He does, but it cost him his "first place" during the Calvary Battle. But that's okay 'cuz it's not over yet!
Welcome to the next and last stage of the festival: The Battle Tournament, where all the kids get to beat the shit out of each other until only one remains.
Turns out, Katsuki does win. It was a foolproof plan: get Todoroki to go all out on him so he can make a final impression before the end of the day. But it was obvious that Shouto was still unsure of himself, so Katsuki did what he did best:
He had to piss him off.
But instead of getting angry and bursting into flames like he had planned, Shouto threw away the battle at the last second, and everything Katsuki had worked for with it.
No shit he's gonna be upset! He worked his ass off to get where he was, and the whole point was to leave himself a footprint! His entire life had been dedicated to that moment, and it faded away right in front of him.
Midnight put him to sleep and he woke up and threw a temper tantrum.
Now this is was UA did wrong:
Tumblr media
Why would you do that?! They were all aware of what happened to him only a few months ago, he obviously hasn't properly recovered from it, and they restrain him in front of thousands of people. They cover his mouth and gag him, lock his hands in a tiny metal box and expect him not to go insane. Helloooo?! Wake up! He's just a kid!
Several months go by and now it's time for camp. Katsuki is tired. They all are. It's been a long day of training and training and training, and suddenly villains come out of nowhere, and nobody is prepared. And who shows up? The League of Villains, and they're after certain students...
Tokoyami escapes safely, but Katsuki isn't so lucky.
Tumblr media
Just think about that for a second. When we see Shigaraki holding a picture of him, it's the one where UA tied him up. He knows what this child has gone through and he pities him. To be honest, I think the LoV treated him much better than anyone ever has (except maybe Kirishima). They're hesitant, but they treat him with kindness. They didn't just want him for his quirk. They saw what the heroes did to him and wanted to help him get the revenge he deserved.
But when All Might showed up (more like "burst through the wall like the Cool Aid man"), Katsuki is instantly teleported in the strangest way possible... and the most traumatizing.
He chokes out this weird slime-like substance that devours him within seconds. Thankfully it only last that long, but then again, the Sludge Incident, remember?
Yeah, bet that brings back some memories.
But what must have hurt him the most was All Might's downfall and early retirement. He said it himself:
Tumblr media
After several chapters, he finally burst. He's been holding all the pain inside of him until it bubbled over and he couldn't take it anymore. So he went to the only person he could- the person he hated and yet trusted the most.
Maybe the Class 1A concert helped him in a way. It seemed like it brought him down and maybe even relaxed him a little. And something incredible happens. Something we haven't seen from him at all until now...
(From here, I'll try to keep it short to avoid as many manga spoilers as I can. That and I'm tired...)
He began to change; started to support Izuku... in his own twisted way, of course. As chapters went by, he started to open up little by little. He admitted what he had done to Izuku in middle school to All Might, which had brought him some peace of mind. It wasn't quite the apology we had hoped for, but I guess it'll do.
And during the war, he made the greatest sacrifice, finally unlocking his quirk's full potential. Despite being unable to move, he used his quirk to throw himself in front of Izuku without thinking, taking a blow to his stomach. To his stomach.
Tumblr media
He was impaled.
Holy shit.
Last time someone had been impaled was Nighteye, and he died from his wounds.
But Katsuki somehow managed to survive... And woke up ready to beat Izuku's ass if he didn't wake up.
Anyway, that's all I have to say (so far). However, I'm excited for Season 5 of the anime series! Can't wait to see our new story animated! I mean, I've been watching the episodes as they come out, but still.

85. Fool's Gold - Bakugou grows even more jealous of Izuku having One for All, and his relationship with All Might.  He thinks that if he could just prove himself to be more worthy, All Might would change his mind and name him his successor.  But in reality, he ends up jeopardizing the relationship they already have.
86. somewhere down the road - The final deadline for Nighteye’s predictions passes, and All Might lives.  He debates telling Izuku, as even though it would be a weight off the boy’s mind, he doesn’t want to jinx it.  He will still die eventually after all.

89. If Only I Could... - Nighteye tells Mirio about One for All, including that he thinks he’s more deserving than Izuku and he plans to pressure him into giving it up.  Mirio struggles with the knowledge that his mentor, someone he respected more than anything, only saw him as a replacement for All Might, meanwhile watching Izuku strain under the pressure of that mentor’s impossible expectations.
90. This is a Test Designed to Provoke an Emotional Response - shameless Blade Runner AU
91. Once and for All - Retelling of the Superman story “What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way?” with All Might.  Some new heroes use much more aggressive and violent tactics against villains while also upstaging All Might.  That, and there general approval from the public cause All Might to question his moral code.
92. Sitting In The Rain - Tsuyu likes to just sit out in the rain sometimes.  Not do anything, just sit there.  Some friends decide to join her.

94. The 1000th time's the charm - Uraraka has been practicing a new move in secret but they just can’t get it right.  She wants it to be perfect before showing it off.  But one attempt gets her seriously hurt while training alone at night in one of the gyms, and she’s too hurt to get up to the phone to call for help.
95. Sunflower Seeds - All Might attempts to start a garden as a new hobby.
96. What It Means To Be Human - Sun god Toshi starts living among people.
97. Eyes on Me - All Might teaches Izuku some unarmed fighting moves to defend himself from bullies.
98. one remains - Izuku has developed all but one of the quirks he’s slated to, and he has no idea what it will be.  Anxiety ensues.
99. Come Back Home - Izuku vanishes from campus and everyone assumes he was kidnapped, but in reality he ran away to try and clear his head after a depressive spiral.  He goes by train as far away as he can until he comes to his senses and calls the others.
100. I Won - Izuku accidentally managed to kill Shigaraki during a skirmish, and while everyone around him praises his heroics, he struggles to deal with the fact that he killed someone.
101. Ivory Tower - All Might grapples with how much izuku suffered as a quirkless person, how he could have done more for quirkless rights in his time as a hero, and how now people may not care as much because he’s retired.
Reminder to credit me if you use any of these prompts, and a special thanks to everyone who submitted titles!

If I’m going to angst jail, I’m gonna go for a good reason. Buckle your seat belts and prepare for some real angst. Also half way through this I came up with a title for this so maybe I’ll put this on Ao3. Also I managed to use the word assfuck for the stupidest reason so I’m happy.
Side note: HCDISHBKFJ I KEPT FORGETTING THIS WAS HERE BUT ITS FINALLY DONE SO-
“The Ghost and the Moon God”
TW: panic attack, mentions of abuse
It was only two weeks after the war had ended. Many pros were still recovering from their injuries, and Hawks was no exception. His back was healed, but he suffered some severe nerve damage. It was going to take months of therapy to relearn how to fully use the left side of his body. However, the ex pro hardly cared about rehabilitation. Since he had been in the hospital he had not been allowed to see his intern, or rather, his intern was not allowed to see him.
Tokoyami had to endure questioning about what had happened to Hawks, and whatever else he knew about the villain, Dabi. It took a long time for the teen to say anything at all. He had internalized so much, and would only give broad descriptions of the event. He was so conflicted about what he had done, was it really right to save a murderer? It was his job as a hero to save his mentor, right? Aizawa was busy recovering, so he couldn’t help in coaxing the answers from his student until a week into the investigation. The teacher knew well that Tokoyami would need comfort before he could answer any questions. They were only together for 5 minutes before Tokoyami was crying and spilling his heart out to his teacher.
Once the Commission got wind of what Tokoyami had seen, they knew that had to do something about him. They decided it would be a waste of potential to simply get rid of him. The HPSC decided instead to invite him to join their program. They thought that the young boy would be absolutely honored to have the opportunity to receive the same training as his mentor. Unfortunately, they were completely right.
Tokoyami received the invitation personally. He had finally gotten to talk to Hawks and catch up. They 3 hours just talking to each other, venting, crying, apologizing, making jokes, laughing, with just each other. They would always be bros, even if one of them had lost their feathers and couldn’t be considered much of a bird. After he finally departed Tokoyami was met outside of the hospital by the president of the HPSC and principal Nezu. The meeting was a total coincidence, the two were originally going to speak to Hawks. It was quite the stroke of luck because they’d be able to get two birds with one stone.
“Tokoyami Fumikage, am I correct?” The president was the first to greet Tokoyami. Principal Nezu was next to speak.
“My dear student, I’d like to introduce you to somebody! This is the president of the Hero Public Safety Commission! I assume you’ve spoken to Hawks, yes? We came here to speak to him, but it’s good that we ran into you. We’ve got a proposition for you!” Tokoyami wasn’t surprised when he wasn’t able to get much of a word in, the principal was known for his ramblings after all. Principal Nezu explained that the Commission was grateful for Tokoyami’s involvement in saving Hawks and they wanted to offer him private hero training. It would be the same training that Hawks was given, the training that helped him rise to the top so quickly.
The young hero was absolutely astonished and humbled at the offer. However he was still hesitant. What about UA? Would he be able to get the same quality education? He would also have to speak to his family about this. The president assured him that the education would be an even higher quality than UA. Nezu agreed, albeit losing a little pride in the process. Tokoyami happily agreed to inform his parent and get a meeting setup. With that, the three went their separate ways. ‘
Hawks was tense when he saw the president entering, but confused when he saw the small mouse creature. No, wait, that’s Tokoyami’s principal. Why would these two be together. Hawks’ mind immediately began racing with thoughts and theories. He was stopped mid-thought when the his intern’s principal climbed onto his hospital bed. Nezu seemed to have a reassuring smile on his face, which brought down Hawks’ anxiety a bit. He opened his mouth to greet the pair, but was interrupted by the small principal.
“Hello there Hawks! My name is Nezu, though I’m sure you already know that from Tokoyami! We actually ran into him on the way in. I have come here with the HPSC president to propose an offer! I’ll let her take from here.” The cheery little animal swung his feet over the side of the bed, and looked over to the president. She cleared her throat and began to speak.
“Hawks, as I’m sure you know, your injuries are going to prevent you from returning to your hero work. While you could return to your office and simply do paperwork, we believe that would be a waste of your talent and knowledge. We would believe that it would be in the best interest of the future that you pass your knowledge onto the next generation.” She paused and looked back over to the principal.
“So I am offering you a position as a teacher at my school!” Hawks was a bit shocked at the proposition. A teacher at UA? He could be around Tokoyami and watch him grow. He couldn’t help but feel a twinge of excitement. He could create more bonds, similar to the one he has with Tokoyami. The ability to help children see their true potential. As soon as Hawks came to this conclusion, he accepted the position. The joyful tone was not meant to last.
“Principal Nezu, would you mind letting me have a word with Hawks on my own?” The president joyfully agreed let the president have her moment alone and exchanged his farewells with his new employee. The President watched the small creature leave before approaching the side of the bed.
“Hawks, I am sure that you already picked up on the fact that I am not here just to tell you about a new job position.”
“Yes ma’am. I’m almost excited to hear the news.” Hawks tried to let out a small laugh to cover his fear. He already knew what this would be about. The boy who had saved his life, but in the process got far too close.
“Its about your former inter, Tokoyami Fumikage. We both know that he knows far too much about you and your position with the league. He will need to be taken care of. It would be a waste to prevent him from being a hero, so we’ve decided to be merciful. We have invited him to join our training program to become a top hero just like you, just like his mentor.” Hawks could only listen as she spoke, he knew that he had no opinion on the matter. His heart sank as she continued, he wanted so badly to protest, to cry, to scream, but he couldn’t. With or without him, with consent or not, Tokoyami would be going through that training program. She finally began to conclude her lecture.
“Hawks, do you understand?”
“Yes ma’am”
“Oh, I have one last thing to inform you of. Since you are no longer a hero, you are no longer Hawks. Keigo Takami, I am looking forward to seeing your work as a teacher. Have a good day.” With that, she was gone. Takami let out the breath he wasn’t aware he had been holding in. After that sigh, he could hardly breathe. His kid was going to go through that same hell that he went through as a child. Takami began getting flashbacks to the training. He remembered the blood, the injuries, the abuse, the punishments. He spent hours just crying in that hospital room by himself.
- 3 weeks later -
It was finally time for them to go their separate ways. UA was holding a large scale party celebrating those who fought in the war. Here it was announced that Takami would be joining the staff, here it would be the last time he saw Tokoyami Fumikage. They sat outside together, away from everyone else, simply watching the sun go down. That was until Takami broke the silence
“Tokoyami, I’m proud of you. I am looking forward to the hero you’ll become”
“Thank you, but why say this so suddenly?”
Takami looked over to the confused face of his friend. He was hoping the next thing he said would be the last time he would have to lie to Tokoyami.
“I just wanted to...” He didn't just want to, he needed to.
“...I might not see you for a while. With you going off to that private training and all. It was pretty tough when I was there, and I’m proud of you for stepping up to the challenge.” He knew he wouldn’t be seeing Tokoyami again. It wasn’t just tough, it was hell, no child should endure it. Takami realized that maybe that last part wasn’t a lie. He was proud of his little bro, but he was also terrified. There was a slim chance that maybe, just maybe since Tokoyami already had some hero training, the commission would go easy on him. There was also a possibility that since Tokoyami only had a year and a half left of school, that the Commission would be harsh, in order to make Tokoyami a top hero in a matter of months.
“Well again I thank you Ha-, I mean Takami Sensei”
“Don’t call me that, kid.  Its way to damn formal. Remember, we’re still bros.” Takami smiles, he hadn’t done so genuinely in such a long time. Maybe it was all of the memories that he had with the bird headed kid, maybe it was the fact that he was happy to be near somebody he cared for. He didn’t care about the reason, he was just happy to be happy.
“Are you two done?” Takami almost fell off of the bench he and Tokoyami were currently sitting on. Aizawa has come out of the very depths of assfuck nowhere and scared him. Tokoyami, as one of Aizawa’s previous students, was used to these sneak attacks. The ninja teacher spoke again,
“Ah, sorry, you’re gonna have to get used to that. Tokoyami, the Commission is here to pick you up.  Hurry and say bye to everyone before you leave” Aizawa jumped in his sleeping bag and disappeared again.
 “D-does he always do that?”
“Yes, Aizawa-Sensei is known for it. You are never quite alone here at UA. That fact could be good or bad depending on the type of individual you are”
“Great, that’s great.” Takami couldn’t help but feel nervous about working with somebody like that. He didn’t have long to feel nervous about that though, he remembered why his fellow teacher had come in the first place. It was finally time. He had to say goodbye.
Takami looked up to his friend, who had already stood to leave. He wasn’t sure what to say. This goodbye is only hard for him, he’s the only one who really knows what is happening. He could stop this now, couldn’t he? Why not stop it before it starts? That’s right, he’s not allowed to, if he does things could be worse off. He let out a soft sigh as he stood, hoping that maybe it would cause some kind of butterfly effect, and save Tokoyami.
“So, I guess that’s that. My time at UA is over. It was fun while it lasted, and I met many great souls.”
“Are you sad to be leaving?”
“Dark Shadow more so than I, he says he’s going to miss all of the affection he gets here. I believe I will miss people, but I am not sad. I will see them again, even if it’s not within UA’s walls.” The soft sigh that followed seemed both sad and reminiscent. Tokoyami began to speak again, but was interrupted by something warm. It was a hug. Takami was holding him tightly, and didn’t seem to want to let go. The teen hugged back in a moment of understanding. They knew that wouldn’t be seeing each other again for a very long time. The two stood there for a long time before finally letting go.
“So I guess this is goodbye for now, little moon god”
“Moon god? That’s a new one.” Tokoyami chuckled “But I don’t consider this goodbye. It’s not like the Commission is going to kill me. I mean, you’re not dead. Unless you are a ghost and I didn’t know that. Are you a ghost Takami?”
Takami couldn’t help but laugh. He knew that Tokoyami had been trying to lighten the mood.
“As far as I know, I am not a ghost. I might just die if you leave me for too long Mr. Moon God.”
“Oh goodness, you seem adamant about this new nickname. Fine then, ghosty.
“Ghosty?”
“I am convinced that you are a ghost and I’ll be joining you in the afterlife once I am done with my training” The word training snapped Takami back to the reality of the situation. Tokoyami also seemed to come back to reality. There was a small silence before the older of the two spoke up.
“Seriously Tokoyami, I am going to miss you. I’m not the only one whose gonna miss you though. Your classmates are waiting for you.”
“Right then. I’ll be seeing you then, ghosty.” With that Tokoyami finally turned around and opened the door to go back inside. With one last parting look, he went inside. There was a small black feather that was sitting on the ground next to the door. Takami could only watch as the wind caught it and floated it away.
- 3 Years Later -
“All right everyone, that's all I’ve got for you today. You’ve got English with Mikey next. Bye now”. Takami began to leave his class when the sliding door slammed open.
“TAKAMI! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!” Present Mic managed to sound cheery and angry at the same time. “I’VE HAD TO TELL YOU THAT SINCE YOU STARTED WORKING HERE!”
“Okay, okay sorry” Takami seemed to be genuinely apologetic until he finally made it safely out the door “Mikey”
“TAKAMI I SWEAR TO G-” Takami had already shut the classroom door in Mic’s face. He let out a slight chuckle before turning around to head to the faculty lounge. A voice came from behind him.
“Takami.”
“CHRIST! AIZAWA STOP DOING THAT. You know I hate that”
“Well, I recall that somebody told you to get used to that years ago. That person is also here to see you.”
Takami turned to face Aizawa with a confused look on his face. “Who? There have been far too many people who have warned me about you.”
“I would assume he was the first person to have told you”
Takami seemed to be even more confused. Who was the first person to tell him? How was he supposed to remember who told him something over three years ago? Three years ago was when he had become a teacher for the old class 2-A, Tokoyami’s class. They had all graduated a year ago. Wait, wait a minute, Tokoyami’s class.
“TOKOYAMI? IS HE HERE?”
Aizawa simply spressed himself against the wall and prepared for Hawks to bolt down the hallway.
“Meeting room 2-A, please don’t run anybody over on the way there.” Aizawa’s plea went completely ignored seeing as Takami had already bolted down the hallway. He was on the fourth floor, and on the wrong side of the building. He quickly calculated the quickest route to Tokoyami. Left, right, down the south hall, another left, avoid All Might, remember to apologize later, down the stairs. His mind ran on simple instructions. There it was, 3-A! One of the few things Hawks had retained was his ability to move quickly without running out of breath. He stood straight and composed himself, tears nearly slipping out. He took a deep breath and slid the door open.
The sight that awaited him was something he hadn’t been prepared for. Tokoyami sat looking at him, his eyes dead. There was a large scar across the bridge of his beak. The typical black shirt of his hero costume was replaced with one with the Commission’s emblem. It was the same branding that he had to wear when he had been a hero. Upon seeing the young hero, Takami knew that was no longer the kid he used to know.
The President sat next to him, as serious as ever. There was a glint of curiosity in her eyes. It was obvious that she wanted to know what Takami’s reaction would be to this new version of Tokoyami. The sick curiosity made Takami’s heart sink. He knew what had happened to Tokoyami, he knew that the teen would never be the same.
“Hey there, you two. Its been a while, hasn’t it?” Takami moved to sit down.
“Yes it has, and in this long while Tsukuyomi here has become a wonderful young hero.”
Tokoyami said absolutely nothing.
“We’ve come to visit you because next week Tsukuyomi will be having his debut as a hero. We would have done it sooner, when the rest of his class had graduated, but creating a hero is like making a fine wine. More time results in higher quality, wouldn’t you say?”
“Of course” Takami knew that she didn’t mean that. He assumed that the Comission had issues with getting rid of Tokoyami’s emotions and previous training education. There may have also been issues with how complex Dark Shadow was. Usually the shadow was around whenever Tokoyami was greeting somebody familiar. There was no sign of him, meaning that there was a high possibility that Dark Shadow was only allowed out for combat reasons.
“I have nothing else to talk to you about. I am going to leave you two to catch up, alright?” The president just left without saying anything else. At this point Takami could hardly think. After his peaceful 3 years of teaching, he would have to face Tokoyami and his 3 years of hell.
“Tokoya-”
“Don’t call me that. You and I both know that is no longer my name.” Tsukuyomi’s voice was dry and harsh. It was obvious that the training had destroyed his personality. He spoke up again,
“I don’t have much to talk to you about. You already know what the training was like. While I am quite please to be seeing you alive and well, I can’t help but feel betrayed when I look at you. You knew exactly what I would be put through, and you did nothing to warn me. I remember the last interaction we had. You had so many chances to say something, and yet you didn’t. I remember how we joked about how the Commission's training had killed you, and maybe you were a ghost. I almost wish that you were dead, then I never would have met you. However, you did help me with some things, so your life has some value. I hope that my training does not become a waste. That’s all I have to say. Goodbye, Takami.”
Takami couldn’t get a single word in before Tsukuyomi left. There were absolutely no words to say. Tokoyami Fumikage had been killed by the Comission’s training. The only thing that was left was the vengeful moon god, Tsukuyomi.

Beyond The Veil: Chapter 10
The Bakugo family dynamic was one of the most unusual Eras has ever seen.
Mrs.Bakugo was an aggressive woman with a confident set to her shoulders and a mouth that puts sailors to shame. Mr.Bakugo, Masaru, was calm and serene. He only stepped in when Mitsuki, Mrs.Bakugo, either didn’t get her point across or was getting riled up. The two complimented each other well and Eras would have been amused if they weren’t currently grating on the last of her nerves.
The word “conditioned” came to mind when she remembered Muska’s parting words from the nurse’s office.
She really hopes these people didn’t help create whatever mental state the ‘Bakugo’ responsible had. She was also starting to realize how confusing referring to people by last names was. You’d think she’d be used to it after all these years. God, she wished she wasn’t here.
During this thought process, the glare she pinned All Might with from earlier never let up. The man was shivering.
“Ah, Welcome! I see You’ve already met Midoriya-san?” Nedzu asked.
The three newest members of the meeting room all nodded as they sat down. The Bakugo’s spared more than a few glances at the newly inflated All Might and Eras herself. She could understand on some base level that seeing someone glare at the number 1 hero was probably rare.
“We’ve been best fucking friends since highschool. Also, I already know it’ll be fuckin confusing so just call Me Mistuki and Masa here Masaru.” She said head held high yet Eras noted the slight defensiveness in her posture.
That was expected, they were here for a training accident after all. One caused by her son but Eras had a feeling she didn't know that yet.
“You can call me Inko as well,” Inko shifted with nerves as she wrung her hands together in an effort to still them, “Is my son alright?”
Nedzu nodded and went to speak, however Eras spoke up first, finally tearing her gaze away from All Might. The man let out a barely audible sigh of relief as she did so.
“You son is doing fine Inko-san. He was quizzing my ward when I went to the infirmary earlier. Sorry to cut you off, Nedzu, however I believe a first hand account would be better than one given by a principal, even if she doesn't know me personally.” Eras saw the tension ease a bit in Inko’s shoulders in response.
“Ah thank you, You're right about that. Your ward? Ah sorry I never caught your name either.” Inko asked, a nervous but nonetheless bright smile on her face.
“My name is Viridis Eras, You can call me Eras considering we’ll be speaking of my ward during this meeting, and I say ward because though she is not my child she is under my care. I was good friends with her parents and so after they passed she came under my guardianship.” Holding up a hand to preemptively silence the condolences, she continued. “It happened years ago so no need for the sorrys.”
The newest occupants of the room all nodded as they redirected their attention to Nedzu, confusion evident on their faces. Nedzu, seemingly able to sense the need for an explanation, cleared his throat and replaced the polite smile on his face with a serious look.
“Thank you for that, Eras-san, though I believe I need to specify why I have called you all here today." Well that confirmed her suspicions from earlier, " As Eras-san already knows, considering her circumstances she was given a summary before getting here, there was a training accident during class 1-A’s heroics class. The injured participants were Viridis Muska and Midoriya Izuku. Though both are completely healed now, except for some aggravated skin where burns were healed.”
Inko looked to be on the verge of crying and the Bakugo’s looked to be edging on realization to why they were called. The word ‘burns’ probably clued them in. They kept shooting glances between Inko and herself.
“The cause of these burns was a gauntlet used as support equipment for Bakugo Katsuki. He was warned beforehand that at close range and indoors, his equipment could be lethal and was ordered by the present instructor, All Might, to stop. He didn’t listen.”
Nedzu paused and let reality seep in. Inko was now actually crying, though not as much as Midoriya was in the infirmary, and the Bakugo pair were now pale. Eras sighed and it dragged the attention back to her. Confusion starting to invade previously horrified faces. Eras allowed her gaze to remain neutral as she turned it onto the Bakugo pair.
“Before I speak my mind on the matter, I would like to ask whether or not this behavior present in your son was encouraged,” once again raising a hand to silence the onslaught she continued, “not that I expect you to encourage violence in him, but did you ever notice previously that his schooling may have intentionally avoided discouraging his tendencies?”
Mitsuki opened and closed her mouth, obviously wanting to retaliate but she sat back and shut her mouth with a scrunched expression. Probably searching for any moments her son’s schooling did in fact do such a thing, after all the person who asked had a child under her care that was just fucking maimed so, small mercies. Surprisingly, it was Masaru who spoke up for the first time since he entered the meeting.
“I believe they did encourage his more… aggressive... ways. It was subtle at first glance but as he grew older I noticed that he stopped speaking about his schooling and instead focused only on himself. As if there was nothing else but his aptitude.” He said with a grimace.
Mitsuki looked appalled for a good second before something may have clicked. Wide eyes of disbelief followed shortly by a sigh of resignation. Eras watched it all, evaluating, analyzing. Once she determined that the parents were, disappointingly, unaware of their son’s habits, she spoke up.
“Muska had warned me before coming here that she believes Bakugo was conditioned into what he is now. Seeing your confirmation, sadly, only proves her right. I have a feeling that his previous schooling was sub par when it came to actively punishing or at least telling him no. This means that he doesn’t even realize that what he did was wrong.” Eras sighed, once again, as she thought about how much of a mess this all was.
“I agree,” Nedzu stated, he had his computer out and seemed to find something on it that prompted his involvement, “I pulled up his middle school records and some concerning things have been made apparent. His record is squeaky clean, even described as a pleasure to have in class and works well with others.”
A snort came from Aizawa who was still leaning against the wall, drawing attention to himself. He sighed as he realized that attention was now on him. Ah, what a mood.
“First day of school he called a student an ‘extra’. I sincerely doubt he was a pleasure in class. Also, considering during the exercise today he immediately left his partner to hunt down the glory for himself, I don’t believe he works well with others either.”
Dry sarcasm is the bane of Eras’s continued intimidation tactic. Seriously, if this man keeps up she may just actually snort. That would ruin the image she was trying to convey damnit.
The group of people sat in silence for a minute. Nedzu sat silently watching the group though, by his tail movement, Eras could tell he had settled on something already. Eras turned back towards All Might with an unimpressed face. Time to wrap this meeting up.
“I recommend giving Bakugo a second chance. Not suspension, but something else. Muska recommended therapy and I recommend anger management. Both may be the best option. As for All Might, I’ll let Aizawa-san rip into you himself regarding your, frankly, stupid idea to set teenagers with little to no training loose in a battle exercise.” Eras glanced at said gruff teacher who gave her a subtle nod and an impish grin. Satisfied that he would take care of it (and he will enjoy the hell out of it), she continued, “Now I will excuse myself to the infirmary once more. Hopefully, I don’t need to come back for a reason like this one again.” The ‘you won’t like what happens’ went unsaid but by the looks on their faces, it was understood.
Standing up, Eras walked over to the door and cracked it open, turning her head to Aizawa, she smiled a fanged smile.
“Keep me updated. I’ll trust your judgement for his punishment.”
With that, she left.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He was confused.
Scared.
Lost.
Constricted.
It's been years now hasn’t it? When was the last time he could control his own body? Could he even remember his name?
oboKurogiri
No that’s not it…
He was OboroKurogiri.
Why can't he remember???
An insistent pulling kept tugging at his mind. Trying to do… something, but he couldn’t for the life of him figure out what. Vaguely he knew that the pull came from something or someone else. Something unnatural was crying out in desperation and hurt. To find...what? What did he need to find?
Sighing, Kurogiri turned to Tomura. The young adult had been extraordinarily calm as he stared at the T.V. The game he was playing early was currently paused. As he continued to clean the bar’s glass, Kurogiri allowed himself to keep an eye on the man. The last time he was so still, his bar’s stools disintegrated.
“Kurogiri.”
Snapping to attention (he begs for his body to stay still, to run, to get away he doesn’t want to be here-) Kurogiri turns to the T.V that sat ominously in the bar.
“Yes, sir?” Kurogiri asked.
“Tomorrow morning, take Tomura to UA, the coordinates will be given in the morning. I think it's time we paid them a visit and gathered some material.”
Nodding his acceptance, Kurokumo can’t help but despair. He doesn’t know why. Can’t figure out who or what was at UA that he didn’t want to see. Or was the word he didn’t want to use harm? He really just couldn’t tell. He couldn’t tell and it tore him apart inside.
The metal on his neck burned, he wanted to rip it off. To be free.
Instead, he polished the glasses in the bar once more.

Revival of Midoriya Izuku chapter 3
It’s been 84 years huh? As always the fanfic is up on ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/16929483/chapters/52652386
also im aware of like some formatting issues with the fic when it comes to tumblr, so reading it on ao3 might be better if you particularly care about like italics and what not, but otherwise it’s all the same stuff.
“Move your ass Boom Boom Bitch, I wanna get there early!” shouted Izuku, as him and Bandit sat on rather stylish, but uncomfortable couch in the Bakugous’ living room that was probably worth more than both of them put together, which probably wasn’t even that much anyway since they’re both garbage, but it’s about the principle of the thing.
“Shut your mouth you Trash Twink, I’ll get there when I get there! And what the fuck are you doing in my house?” screamed Bakugou all the way from upstairs, although with his voice being as explosive as his quirk he might as well be standing right next to you considering the damage he does to everyone’s eardrums.
Speaking of hearing damage “Katsuki!!! Is that how you talk to our guest you rude brat?! Get over here!” exclaimed Aunt Mitsuki.
“Shut it old hag! Deku’s not a guest, he’s just an annoying cockroach that invites himself wherever he wants and does whatever he wants!” which is a fair point, considering Izuku has invited himself to Bakugou’s first day at UA for less than wholesome reasons. Some people might see it as the ultimate bitch slap to Bakugou’s ego (partially true), but for the most part it’s merely a testament of how far Izuku has come, considering he now only sees UA as a place where he can flirt with Tensei’s hot brother, rather than a means of accomplishing some bullshit dreams... But it’s not like Kacchan knows any of this, so he can fuck off.
If you were to ask Izuku what his deal with Bakugou was, he would reply “Best friends, duh” with enough sarcasm to last you the next ten years. If you were to press for any specifics his reply would be more along the lines of “I dunno, get the fuck out of my apartment” followed by having Trash Bandit sent after you. The bottom line was, his relationship with Bakugou was complicated, as were most thing in Izuku’s life, but that’s not unusual.
Izuku’s presence at the Bakugou household though? That’s quite unusual, yet more likely than you’d think.
And although the screaming match between the two Bakugous was ever so entertaining Izuku had places to be, and guys to seduce, so “Leave it Auntie” he exclaims in a dismissive manner “We don’t want to rile him up too much, otherwise he ain’t gonna get that 30-day chip from the anger management that he’s been gunnin’ for” he adds half-jokingly.
“I know, I know” she says “But you’d think he would act a little nicer by now, after all these months of therapy.”
“Wouldn’t expect miracles if I were you Auntie, you know what the say; Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree ” replies the boy with a shiteating grin as he motions towards Bakugou descending down the stairs, not missing the way Mitsuki flinched ever so slightly at his rather obnoxious comment.
“And to think you used to be such a nice boy yourself, I used to always tell your mother how great it would’ve been if Katsuki was more like you” she says in a mix of bittersweet nostalgia and regret.
“Yeah well, considering the shit I got for being nice , I think from now on I’d rather be a bastard and then some” exclaimed Izuku as he got up from the couch with Bandit in tow and made his way towards Bakugou. The other boy was getting ready to leave as well and his excitement for the day was concealed even more poorly than his mother’s discomfort at the current conversation “Have a good one Auntie!”
And with that, the two teenagers and one (1) sheep were on their way.
“Kacchan please , not everything is about you” said Izuku exasperatedly, hurrying over to the only empty seat on the train.
“Like hell it isn’t! This was supposed to be MY DAY, my first day at the school of my fucking dreams, and you’re trying to ruin it by following me around dressed like a dollar stripper!” replied Bakugou in a whisper-scream. He may have anger issues but he wasn’t a dumbass and the two of them were already drawing enough attention as it was. It wasn’t exactly easy to remain unnoticed on a train while carrying a green sheep; a task which fell on Bakugou, because Izuku was a weak-noodle-arm-bitch.
“First of all, I’m flattered that you think I’m worth a dollar” said the weak-noodle-arm-bitch in question “And second of all, this is my best outfit.” Said best outfit consisted of a worn out tank top that had THE HOES written on it in what once was a glittery pink; a pair of booty shorts with ENEMY OF STATE hand stitched onto the backside and rainbow patterned knee socks. The look was completed with a pair of pink platform crocs, because Izuku had standards ... and because he was short.
“God I hate you” murmured Bakugou.
“Don’t I know it Kacchan?”
The rest of the train ride was spent in silence.
It wasn’t until they actually reached the gates of the school that Bakugou had a thought; one that he probably should’ve had before they even left his house, but having a coherent thought while carrying a sheep and bickering with the sheep’s owner about whether the sheep should be referred to as a dog or not is in all fairness not possible.
“They won’t let you in” he said, voicing the sudden epiphany.
“Sure they will” replied Izuku.
“Oh yeah? How? Deku, you don’t fuckin’ go to this school, you don’t go to ANY school!” shouted Bakugou, because they were no longer on the train, therefore arguing with a lunatic stripper looking guy was now acceptable.
Izuku for the most part did not have a problem with that, because not only did he love having petty fights with people, he also loved proving them wrong, especially when everyone and their grandma accuses him of being a high school drop out.
“Shinjuku Metropolitan would beg to differ” he says, dropping the metaphorical bomb on the unsuspecting dipshit that is his childhood friend, after which he continues to walk, crossing the gates of UA High like he owns the damn place.
After about a minute of Bakugou standing frozen in shock, he finally snapped out of it when Bandit decided to start chewing on his uniform “Oi, hold the fuck up!” screamed the blond as he followed Izuku inside, while the sheep was being dragged along like a betrayed ragdoll  “Did you just say Shinjuku Metropolitan?!”
“Kacchan, you know I can’t hold you, you’re too heavy” replies the other teen, while pointedly ignoring Bakugou’s question and the looks he’s been getting from the students.
“Don’t change the subject shitty Deku! How the fuck did your ass get into a top non-hero high school in the whole damn Tokyo you bitch?”
“What, like it’s hard?”
“I fuckin’ swear to God-”
“Do it! Pull the trigger piglet!”
“WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?”
Their pointless quarrel, which was on a steady way into becoming a straight up brawl (Izuku having already pulled out his axe and lighted a cigarette using one of Bakugou’s warning explosions) came to a stop when they were interrupted by one of UA’s teachers, although in Izuku’s opinion she made a wrong career choice, considering being a Dominatrix probably paid more.
On another note, when someone asks you ‘what’s going on?’ that doesn’t mean they’re actually interested in whatever is happening at the moment, it means ‘stop’, therefore Izuku’s answer to that question, which usually involves something along the lines of “You see, I’m small, horny and full of rage, and I have no outlet for these emotions” is rarely appreciated. That is not to say that the lack of appreciation is going to stop him from spawning whatever dumb shit comes to his mind when faced with the judgement from authority figures. If anything it makes everything worse.
“That’s just how we flirt” replied the teen instead, all the while looking THE Pro-Hero Midnight dead in the eye and putting out his cigarette on Bakugou’s uniform jacket. Bakugou, for the most part was unable to even be mad at the cigarette burn considering he was busy recovering from being metaphorically punched in the kidneys by that line.
“And why aren’t you wearing uniform?” she asks suspiciously, pointing at Izuku’s attire.
“Oh, I don’t go here” he replied casually.
“Then pray tell , why are you in this school?”
“To get laid”
“TO WHAT?!” screamed Bakugou in surprise.
At this point Midnight took out her phone (no, her costume doesn’t have pockets, please don’t ask where she keeps it) and clicked on one of three contacts she keeps on her speed dial.
“Principal Nedzu, we got a situation…”
After telling Bakugou not to worry and that he will see him later in class, Izuku was dragged to the principal’s office by Midnight.
On the way there he tried cracking up another joke, telling her that his safe word was ‘avocado’. She did not appreciate that one either. For those of you wondering what happened to Bandit, the sheep ended up following Bakugou, much to the blond’s dismay.
Now, being sent to a principal’s office, especially of a school that you don’t even attend is usually a sign that you have royally fucked up. Not for Izuku though, because he had a plan! Contrary to the common belief, Izuku is not dumb. The fall didn’t kill off any of his brain cells, only his ability to give a shit, which made life much easier since he no longer had to worry about things like: people’s opinions, social norms, laws and heteronormativity.
Anyway, back to the plan. Izuku was not dumb, therefore even he knew that wandering around UA while not attending the school would not fly. He needed a way to stay, and for that he needed the guy who runs the whole shitshow; Nedzu.
Which is why the moment Midnight opens the door to the office Izuku stomps in like a man on a mission and stops right in front of an animal of questionable origin in a suit that is allegedly UA’s principal. A little unusual, but if a scumbag like Endeavour can hold the title of No. 2 Hero in Japan, then an animal can run a school.
The principal in question was calmly sitting on a couch and drinking tea, totally unconcerned with whatever bullshit Izuku was about to throw at him.
“Now, what seems to be the issue with this young man?” asked Nedzu.
“This young man-” said Izuku, pointing to himself in a rather cocky manner “has a message for you!”
“And what would that message be?”
The principal’s question was answered with what Izuku can only think of as the ultimate power move, or in this case; a literal ace up the sleeve. The boy proceeded to pull out a Monopoly “Get out of Jail” card out of his shorts (since he technically wasn’t wearing any sleeves) and slam it on the table right in front of Nedzu.
While to an outsider the current situation might seem absurd, it is important to remember that Izuku had a plan; one that could’ve never come to a fruition without a little help from the most unexpected person, which is why that card was no ordinary Monopoly card, but a very specific reminder that only Principal Nedzu would know the meaning of, and when he picked it up and flipped it around, the neatly written message on the back made its presence known.
It read: “You owe me one. - Hisashi”
“My dad says ‘Hi!’ ” exclaimed Izuku, taking one look at Nedzu’s face and knowing that he already won.
Was cashing in on a favour that his dad secured like 10 years ago a morally good decision? Debatable, but it got the job done so he’s not gonna complain. All that mattered was that Izuku now had a pass to enter the UA grounds whenever he pleased and nobody could stop him, and so here he was about to enter the classroom where Kacchan is supposed to be in. The bell hasn’t rung yet so he still had some time and who knows, maybe the handsome guy from the police station was in the same class?
With that in mind he opened the gigantic door and made his way into the classroom and was met with what looked like a pissing contest between his crush and his childhood friend.
“REMOVE YOUR FOOT FROM THAT DESK! SUCH AN ACTION IS INSULTING TO THOSE WHO CAME TO UA BEFORE US AS WELL AS THE CRAFTSMEN WHO MADE THIS DESK!”
“LIKE I CARE! WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOL ARE YOU FROM, YOU EXTRA ?!”
Ah yes, pissing contest at its finest, which meant that Izuku had options . The most obvious course of action would be siding up with Tenya and taunting Kacchan, which is not something Izuku would ever say no to. However , it also happens that the object of his affections had a massive boner for rules and authority, which is the exact opposite of everything Izuku stands for, so siding up with Kacchan it is.
And so he made his way to the pair of bickering teenagers and promptly pushed Kacchan’s feet off the desk, earning a scoff from the blond and an approving but baffled look from Iida, which only lasted for about 2 seconds, because Izuku being the gay disaster that he is simply HAD to ruin it all by claiming the desk as his sitting spot and giving Tenya the most ridiculous bedroom eyes that had Kacchan fake gagging like his life depended on it.
“Umm...Izuku, was it?” asked Tenya, feeling awkward under the other boy’s intense gaze.
“It sure was” replied the boy, feeling happy about leaving enough of an impression to be remembered from all those weeks ago “Fancy seeing you here, huh?”
“Indeed-”
“Oh for fuck’s sake Deku!” exclaimed Bakugou, completely fed up with the cringeworthy display in front of him “Just tell four-eyes that you came here because you wanted to see him and be done with it!”
“WHAT?”
“Kacchan, not now! I’m trying to put on some moves!”
“Well your moves are shit-”
“Hey, aren’t you that guy from the news who stabbed a villain in the eye with an axe?!” shouted one of the students while pointing at Izuku. There was something ironic about the fact that it was his stunt on live TV from 2 weeks ago that got everyone’s heads turning and not his iconic outfit, or inappropriate behaviour, or literally anything else about him. Like that’s just rude ok? And interrupting him while he’s trying to flirt? Also rude.
“Bitch, I might be” he replied anyway, because his reputation was on the line and because at this point literally everyone has gathered around the desk that he sat on, so things were way past the point of return. People were throwing questions and accusations at him left and right, Trash Bandit is nowhere to be found and his quil flask is not full enough for this bullshit. At this point Bakugou simply got up from his seat and sat at the back of the room, as far away from this nonsense as possible.
“It’s you!”exclaimed the boy with dual coloured hair and equally mismatched eyes “You’re the guy who keeps T-posing in front of my house. Can you please stop?!” he asked with the most deadpan face Izuku has ever seen despite his voice being filled with desperation.
“Look, I T-pose in front of a lot of houses so you’re gonna have to be more specific” he replied sarcastically — despite knowing exactly who he was talking to — since it probably wasn’t a good moment to mention that you’re besties with that person’s mom because you were both stuck in the same loony bin and so you already know all the family drama and have dedicated a good portion of your time to harassing her abusive piece of shit husband…especially with like 20 people around you.
“You’re the one who egged my limo!” shouted one of the girls at the back. She was a very tall girl with long, dark hair tied in a seemingly gravity defying ponytail and a kind face. She had an air of a distinguished lesbian about her, which Izuku could respect even if she was rich if the limo comment was anything to go by. He egged several limos in his lifetime because seeing rich people out in public makes him go apeshit, as it should, so really how is he supposed to remember everyone?
“And I will egg it again!” promised Izuku “When I see rich people out and about it triggers my fight-or-fuck response”
“Don’t you mean fight-or-flight?” she asked.
“No”
“Are you ok?”
“Not in the slightest”
And with that more people joined in on the conversation, including a particular girl who very much looked like an alien with her bright pink skin and black sclera who ended up complementing his outfit, which thank fuck someone here actually had good taste , as well as a guy who ended up being Ms Shouji’s son, and the only reason he found out was because the guy recognised his antics based on the gossip his mom told him and isn’t that a small fuckin world? And in the middle of it all laid an inconspicuous yellow sleeping bag that has been conveniently ignored by everyone for the sake of the plot up until now.
The sleeping bag began to seemingly unzip by itself and soon enough Bandit’s head poked out of it.
“Bandit! There you are”
“Baaah!”
“Guys! Look at this dog!” exclaimed one of the students who Izuku thought looked like a personification of weed, but he wasn’t going to say that. At least the guy knew what he was talking about.
“I’m pretty certain it’s a sheep-” added Tenya, taking his role as the last standing voice of reason in this room very seriously, even though his voice has practically drowned in the sea of teenagers chanting ‘good doggo’, similarly to how one might feel if they were standing at a dance floor while Baby Got Back started playing.
It’s also important to note that while all of this was happening, Bakugou who has sat himself at the back of the room was forced to witness the chaotic force that is Izuku interacting with multiple people at once while being able to convince about 20 of them to refer to his sheep as a dog, and in that moment he turned around staring into the void and asked himself “Am I having a fuckin stroke?”
“Nah, he’s always like that” replied the one person who was sat at the back along with him that Bakugou previously did not bother to notice.
“And how would you know, you damn extra?” asked Bakugou somewhat offended, because sure him and Izuku were not on the friendliest terms and the whole incident from last year really changed him and what not. But they still knew each other their whole lives, so really that had to count for something and Bakugou was not willing to compromise on that with some random extra who looked like a Tinky Winky humansona on drugs.
Unfortunately Bakugou was not able to get an answer because the entire class was interrupted by a homeless looking guy coming out of the yellow sleeping bag to shame student kind. “If you’re here to socialise, then get out” he said. Soon enough the room was filled with a tense silence as the students were unsure of what to expect next.
“It took 8 seconds for you to quiet down. Time is a precious resource. You lot aren’t very rational, are you?” asked the man as he walked to the front of the classroom, making it very clear that he was in fact their teacher. The man was rather tall and unkept, his hair was long and slightly curled, similar to Izuku’s own and the outfit he wore could only be described as a goth onesie. There was something very familiar about him but Izuku couldn’t quite make out what it was supposed to be.
However, just because Izuku’s memory aligns very closely with a slice of swiss cheese doesn’t mean that the same can be said about the teacher in question. As soon as he turned around to get a good look at his new class his eyes fell on Izuku and his face has swiftly shifted from that of practiced disinterest to shock and recognition that Izuku honestly was not expecting.
“What are you doing here problem child?” asked the man with a certain degree of disbelief in his voice. Once again there was something very familiar about him and the way he addressed Izuku and wait a minute did he just call me a problem child? That can’t be-
“Uncle Shouta” exclaimed the boy in a way that felt uncertain, yet childishly hopeful “Is that you?”
“Of course it is brat, who else would I be?” he replied with a hint of amusement.

Angel’s Rising- Chapter Three
Tumblr media
I jump from the feminine voice sounding behind me. However, when I meet navy eyes, I jump to my feet. “M-Midnight!”
The woman smiles and opens her arms to pull me into a bone crushing hug. “You look amazing, Aria. I see that you kept the outfit I had made for you.” I smile and pick at the tight sleeve on my arm. “Of course. It helps my quirk, so I had to keep it.” She grins and gives my head a gentle pat.
“I heard that you would be working with dear Eraserhead here. I was sad they didn’t put you with me.” I giggle and move my hair from my face. “I enjoy working with Mr. Aizawa so far. He’s kind.” She scoffs and gives him a playful glance. I can tell from his grunt that he isn’t in a playful mood.
“Come on, Shouta, you know she’s cute.” Excuse me? My face flushes, and Aizawa grunts again. “That’s inappropriate, Midnight. Shut up.” “You aren’t den-” “I said to shut up.” I flinch at his tone even though it wasn’t directed at me. He gives me an apologetic glance, but doesn’t say anything. Instead, he stands and walks out of the room.
“He’ll be okay. He’s mopey sometimes. How have you been, dear?” I smile at my old mentor. Midnight had me as a student all three of my years at UA. When she heard about my issues at home, she became like my mother. She would even make me take money from her so I could feed the girls and get them clothes.
“I’ve been okay. Rose and Lilith-” “I don’t want to hear about them, Aria. I know they’re okay. You took care of them, but I want to make sure you’re taking care of yourself.” I smile softly and lean against her. “I.. I’ve been okay. I promise.” She smiles and pushes me off so she can look at me closely. “You are just so pretty, girl! How have you not had a man sweep you off your feet?”
Oh wow, here we go. “The girls are more important than a man, Midnight.” “But they’re growing up, too. Hell, I see how they have their own crushes. Lilith actually smiles around that class rep boy, and.. Rose acts even more extroverted around Kaminari.” I smile with a tiny chuckle. “Good. They’re teenagers.” Her smile is soft, but a bit sad. I know what she’s thinking. I never allowed myself to be a teenager.
“I know those babies are proud of you, Aria. You’re their hero.” She grabs my shoulders and leads me back to the couch. Is it therapy time already?
“I try,” I sigh as I sit down with her, “I want them to have someone in their family that they can look up to.” She places her hand on my shoulder when she notices my voice strain. “They have you. You’re amazing to them.” “I’m just locally-” “You’re their number one. Trust me. They talked about you all the time when they first got here.” My eyes widen and I finally meet hers.
“You.. kept an eye on them?” She chuckles and pulls me into a hug again. “Of course I did. You became my daughter, so I felt obligated to watch your babies.” I close my eyes and let myself get comfortable in her arms. She never ceases to make me feel loved, honestly. She really was my rock through my high school.
“Am I interrupting?” She pulls back and smiles at the blonde man, who I guess is Present Mic. “No, Mic. Come on in.” He smiles kindly at me and goes to the chair in front of Midnight. “Aria?” “Yeah?”
His voice suddenly grows louder. “I’m pumped to have new faculty! We totally needed another healer. Recovery girl always seems to have her hands full with these kids.” “Well,” I laugh and reach to shake his hand, “I’m here to help.” \
“I gotta tell ya, girl, your sisters are some wicked fighters.” I smile softly. “I know. I’m glad that their father had offensive quirk. It made getting into UA easier.” “You went here, I assume?” I nod and smile at Midnight.
“I was by recommendation. My sisters are just talented.” Mic chuckles lightly. “That may be true, but you have to be hella smart to get in here the way you did. Don’t sell yourself short, Aria.” Midnight rubs my back comfortingly as I give Mic a thankful smile.
“I actually needed.. your blessing.” “My blessing? Mic, I barely know you.” He laughs loudly at my response. Even Midnight gives a small chuckle. “I wanted to ask you if I have your permission to train Rose.” “Why would you want Rose? She has- “ “An air quirk. I have a voice quirk. Plus, I just like her overall spunky attitude.” I look at Midnight, who smiles softly. “Mic is a childhood friend of mine. He’s trustworthy.”
“If Rose wants to, then I don’t see why not. Just expect me to show up and observe sometimes.” He smiles widely and shakes my hand again, but now there’s a sort of excitement to it. “Thank you. She’s in safe hands with me, I promise.”
My phone starts ringing, so I quickly pull it from my bag. Of course, it’s Rose, so I answer it quickly. I don’t mean to use her nickname in front of two other people, but oops.
“Hey, Rosebud, what’s up?” “Eeeewww! Anyways,” she giggles, “you should come eat lunch with us. I have Kaminari, Iida, and Lilith.” “I’ll meet you in the hallway.” Once I hang up, I give Midnight another hug. “I’m sure I’ll see you later, but the girls want me to eat with them, so I can’t refuse.”
I wave goodbye to Mic as I head out of the teacher’s lounge. Like I thought, the girls are waiting with the two boy near a large window. Kaminari and Rose are playfully shoving each other, but Lilith and Iida seem to be pointing at something in a book and talking about it. It’s a really good personality picture, so I decide to snap a quick one before they can notice.
Lilith catches a glimpse of me and smiles. “Hey, Aria. How was the teacher’s lounge?” I shrug and grab an orange juice that Iida offers me. “It was fine, I guess. Thank you, Iida.” “You’re very welcome.”
“hey, we haven’t officially met, but I’m Kaminari.” Rose gently shoves the blonde boy’s shoulder. “Call him Denki.” “Hey-” “Hush.” They both start laughing before they go back to playfully shoving each other around. I smile softly while watching them. “By the way,” Iida pats my shoulder softly, “there’s no need for you to be formal with me. Just call me Tenya.” I nod at him, which seems to make Lilith happy.
“Uh, sis,” Lilith points behind me, “I think Mr. Aizawa is looking for you.” I look behind to see the dark haired man glancing at us. He waves me over, so I rush towards him. “Are you busy?” “I was going to have lunch with my sisters, but if you need-” He holds his hand up, silencing me immediately. “I was just going to ask if you wanted to eat lunch with me. I got some soba for you.” He holds a bag out for me, but I just stare confused. “M-mr. Aizawa, let me pay you back.” “Nonsense. Here, you need to eat. Go enjoy it with your sisters.” Once I take it, he turns to walk away with his own bag.
“Hey, we should eat together.. once I get a bit more comfortable here.” I feel terrible leaving him like that. He glances over his shoulder and shrugs. “Sure. Just let me know when. okay?” I nod and give him a small smile. I barely notice the corners of his mouth turn up before he walks back into the lounge. Lilith and Rose stare at me dumbfounded as I walk over. however, Tenya and Denki aren’t paying attention.
“Why are you two staring at me like-” “Mr. Freaking Aizawa is.. being nice?” Tenya gives a tiny snort of laughter, but Lilith isn’t laughing. Rose scratches her head in thought. “I’m so used to seeing him frown. He seemed.. comfortable talking with you.” I feel my cheeks heat up a bit and chuckle.
“Have you guys ever thought that you see him differently because he’s your teacher? You aren’t supposed to see him as a friend.” Denki snickers and nudges me with his elbow. “Are you assuming that Mr. Aizawa is your friend?” “Hey,” Lilith snaps at him a bit, “only we can mess with her. Piss off.” He squeaks and hides behind Rose. “Control your twin!”
“Look, Denki,” Rose giggles, “Lilith has a point. Leave Aria alone.” He pouts, but the rest of us laugh. “But, to answer your question Denki, I believe Mr. Aizawa and I could eventually become friends. Hes been very nice to me.” “Maaaaan your standards are low, sis.” “Lilith Wren Williams!” She quickly grabs Tenya’s arm and laughs. “Run, Tenya!” “W-why me I- Okay!” They run off, both laughing their heads off. For once, Rose gives her sister the ‘lord help us’ glance. “We should go with them. They’re headed to the cafeteria.”
They already have a table for the four of us when we get there. I sit down while the four of them go to get their food., Of course, my mind is still clouded with worry since I kinda accidentally blew Aizawa off. I don’t want him to dislike me on my first day working with him. That would make this job suck.
“Sis,” Lilith sits beside me with a sigh, “you look like you’re worried.” I nod a bit and wait until the others get back to speak. “I just.. feel really bad. Aizawa got me lunch, and doesn’t want me to pay him back or anything, but I accidentally blew him off.” Tenya gives me a worried glance. “he should understand. It was an accident.” “Yeah,” Denki agrees while shoving rice in his mouth, “I don’t even think someone as hot headed as Bakugo would be mad over something like that.”
“I think I’ll send him a text or something. Maybe.. I don’t know.” “Hey,” Rose reaches and grabs my hand softly, “after you eat, go to the classroom. He eats in there after he gives Present Mic some food. Just go talk-” “Wait,” I interrupt her, “are you telling me that other bag in his hand wasn’t for him?” Does that mean he hasn’t eaten yet? All four of them look at each other and shrug. Okay, now i feel really bad.
I make quick work finishing the soba. “Here,” Tenya reaches and grabs my empty bowl, “you go ahead. I’ll handle the trash.” I smile at him thankfully before rushing towards the classroom. Somehow I remember the way to it, thank god. That would have been really awkward if I didn’t.
I knock on the door softly before entering. Like they said, Aizawa is in here, typing away at his computer. I do see an empty packet of.. is that applesauce? “M-Mr. Aizawa? Are you busy?” He turns his chair to face me. “Umm.. I mean, I’m putting grades in. Shouldn’t you be eating with-” “I did, but.. I worried because someone said you only usually buy food for Present Mic.” “Oh. Don’t worry, I ate.”
The way he turns his chair away from me is slightly concerning. “I mean, I see the applesauce thing on your desk, but if you’ve only had that and coffee..” “Is this all you needed? I’m rather busy.” I flinch from the annoyance in his tone. There I go, messing up the little bit of friendship we could ahve already had.
“I-I apologize, sir. Is there anything I can get for you?” When he turns, he seems a bit confused. “Are you okay?” Huh? “Why wouldn’t I be?” “You sound upset.” Do i? I tilt my head, but I guess I can’t deny the shift in my voice after hearing him get irritated with me. “Oh, no sir. I just realized that I was getting on your nerves.” I laugh awkwardly, but he doesn’t seem amused.
“You weren’t getting on my nerves, Doc. I’m just tired.” He rubs his eyes, and I realize just how red they are. Man, he is exhausted. “Please, call me Aria. I don’t like going by my hero name to everyone.” “Then quit putting Mr. in front of my name. you aren’t my student.” I smile softly and nod. “Alright. Still, Aizawa, let me get you something. You need real food.” He sighs, finally giving in. When he goes to dig his wallet out, I shake my head. “No, I’ll get it. It’s the least I can do since you’ve been so nice to me.” When I notice a small smile, my heart leaps a bit.
“Okay, you win. There’s a vending machine down the hall. Just a protein bar will be okay.” ‘Aizawa-” “I’ll eat a meal when I get home, I promise. Quit worrying.” I chuckle and head out into the hallway. When I make it to the vending machine, which is right outside of the teacher’s lounge, Mic and Midnight walk out.
Midnight smiles sweetly at me. “What are you up to?” “Getting Aizawa a protein bar and a water. He bought lunch for me, but didn’t get himself anything.” “I told you Nemuri! I knew that he had to have gotten something else!” Midnight holds her hand up with a laugh. “Sorry, I’m used to him only pampering you since you two are such good friends.”
I roll my eyes at their playful argument as I buy Aizawa’s so called lunch. “Well, I gotta go give this to him. Bye you two.” They laugh as I rush away from their teasing stares.
As soon as I give it to him, the bell rings. “Aizawa..” “Don’t worry,” he gives me the smallest smile as he stands, “I’ll eat it while we’re outside. Come on, lets go ahead to the training ground. The kids have to change into their costumes.” I nod and follow him out.
Some kids already beat us there, but they seem to busy stretching to say anything other than a quick ‘hello’. “Aria,” Aizawa snaps in front of my face to get my attention, “how skilled are you at combat?” “Honestly? I can handle myself, but I prefer being a support role during missions.” He nods understandingly, finally taking a bite of his protein bar.
“If you ever need some sparring, or just training in general, tell me. I’m happy to join you.” I smile and give him a gentle shove. “And here I was thinking that I annoyed the piss out of you.” He actually smirks now. “Oh? Not quite, but the day is still young. Your sisters piss me off a lot more, I promise.”
Once all the kids are there, the playfulness in his tone disappears. It seems to be all business with him. He starts off by pairing up the kids into sparring partners. It looks fine.. until I hear Lilith get mad.
“Ex-fucking-scuse me you little grape bastard?!” Aizawa and I rush over to where she was busy sparring with some boy that looks literally three feet tall. Two cloud knives are tight in her grip, but they suddenly disintegrate. When I look at Aizawa, his hair is straight up and his eyes are crimson. Is this his quirk?
“Williams,” he snarls at Lilith, “what are you-” “This little grape bastard started asking about my sister!” I raise an eyebrow, but that fire in her eye tells me that it’s something more than what my name is. Aizawa grabs her arm with the scarf around his neck and sighs. “What did he say?” “He asked how a girl like her was ‘blessed with such a cute face, but has a small gut’. I’m going to fucking-” “Language!” His yell makes her quiet down. Still, something about that comment makes me wrap my arms around my stomach. Aizawa notices, gives me an apologetic glance, and turns to the boy.
“Mineta.. why shouldn’t I expel you right now?” Mineta whimpers, scooting away from Aizawa’s glare. “I-I’m sorry! I won’t say it again Mr. Aizawa!” “Don’t apologize to me. Apologize to Ms. Aria this instant.” The boy’s putple eyes meet mine and I can see tears flowing down his face. “I-I’m so sorry. Please, control your sister.”
“No, I don’t think I will. It seems Mr. Aizawa is handling her just fine.” Lilith glares daggers at the small boy. “Look, Grape Head, I don’t need my quirk to wring your fucking neck.” “One more curse and you’ll have detention, Williams.” She rolls her eyes, but he ignores that.
I decide to take her from him while he deals with Mineta. “Come on, Lilith. Lets go over here for a talk.”
She follows, but crosses her arms over her chest. Once I’m away from Aizawa, I give her a tight hug. “Hey, I don’t blame you for getting over protective, but you know that you can’t full on try and kill someone for something as stupid as that.” She huffs, but I can see a bit of sadness in her jade colored eyes. “I know, Aria, but I also know that you got made fun of a lot for shit like that. I hate when someone says anything bad about you or Rose. It.. doesn’t sit right with me.” “I know, Lils, and that’s okay. I would be pissed if anyone said something that rude about you two.”
I kiss her forehead just as Aizawa walks over. He sighs and gives Lilith a stern, but understanding, stare. “Williams, I completely agree that Mineta should learn to be more respectful of any woman. Trust me, it disgusts me too.” “But he said it about Aria, Mr. Aizawa.” “I know. I promise that he is being dealt with. I should be giving you detention for the cursing and such, but.. I’ll let you off the hook.” She seems shocked. “You are?” “Yeah. I would be mad too if she was my sister. Just, please, control your anger in the future. If he does it again come to me.” She smiles slightly at him, which makes him seem a bit less stern. “Thank you, Mr. Aizawa.” “Go train with your sister and Ururaka before I change my mind.”
When she runs off, he glances at me. “I apologize about Mineta’s comment. It was inappropriate on many levels.” “You don’t need to apologize, Aizawa. I’m okay.” “I saw you cover your stomach.” I blush slightly and look at the ground. Yeah, he did notice, didn’t he? I guess my insecurities are pretty obvious. When I don’t say anything, he nudges me like I did to him earlier.
“Not to sound.. weird or anything, but you’re really... uh, you’re pretty.” When I look up, he smiles a bit, which makes me want to squeal like a little girl. he called me pretty? What the hell? “I-I.. thank you, Aizawa. You’re sweet.” “Not really, but sure.”
Once the training is over, Aizawa leads everyone back to the classroom. After a few words to end the day, the kids start packing their stuff up to go home. “Sis,” Rose rushes over to me as I’m about to talk to Aizawa, “can Iida and Denki come over to study for the test?” “I don’t care, but mom..” Lilith walks over, and I notice Tenya forces her to let him take her bag. “They know about her, but you’re the adult. If they’re there, you know she’ll stay away from all of us.” I shrug. She does have a point. “Fine, but I’ll be leaving later than you guys. If you want to go ahead and start walking you can.”
After they leave, I smile and start straightening papers on Aizawa’s desk. He notices and walks over to join me. “You guys don’t drive here?” “I have a license, but my mom doesn’t allow me to use her car.” He shrugs slightly. “Fair enough. Midnight mentioned she knew you once we heard about you getting hired, by the way. When she said that you had raised your little sisters, i never pieced together that there was a set of twins in my class.” I chuckle and pass him a random pen.
“You should let me take you home, Aria.” “I wouldn’t ask you to-” “Then don’t ask. Just come get in the car.” I giggle a bit and follow him outside. My sisters told me about how much of a hardass he is and I mean, he’s strict, but he seems to be really nice. At least, he is to me.
“Buckle up because I drive like a madman sometimes.” “Nah.” He gives me a stern glance, which makes me buckle up. His grey eyes seem lighter than they were when I first met him. Of course, that was only this morning. “Hey, Aizawa.” “Yes?” “Umm.. we don’t live in the best part of town. I really feel-” “I won’t judge you over something as stupid as that. I promise.”
The only words spoken during the ride are me giving him directions. At one point, we drive past the kids, and I wonder if they noticed me in the passenger seat. Once he pulls in front of my house, he sighs softly.
“I know you mentioned something about your mom. I assume she isn’t the best type of person if she made you raise the twins.” I shrugs and unbuckle. “I try not to judge her too much, honestly. I wouldn’t change anything even if I could.” “I don’t think the twins would have anyone else as their ‘mom’, honestly. I can tell that they look up to you, Aria.”
Can he really? Even after just meeting me today. “Still, there’s something I’m concerned about.” “What would that be?” His eyes fill with worry, but he tries to keep a stoic expression on his face. “Are you three in any danger with her?” “No. If she ever gets too drunk, she passes out.” “Are you sure?” “Positive, Aizawa. Don’t worry. If I thought she would hurt the girls, I would have her arrested.” He lets out a sigh, obviously relieved.
“That’s good and everything, but what if she tried to hurt you?” Shit. I don’t answer that, which makes him frown. “If you ever need help, with the twins or yourself, call me. Text me, do something. You aren’t alone in this.” I smile and lay my hand softly on top of one of his. “Thank you, Aizawa. I’m glad that I’m working with you.” “That’s a first.” “No, really,” I can’t help but laugh, “I feel like we can be good friends.. Does that sound weird?”
He looks in his rear view mirror with a sigh. “No. It doesn’t. I feel the same.” Suddenly, someone taps the passenger window. Of course, it’s Rose. Lilith is standing with the boys, but everyone has a confused look on their face.
“I should get out. They’ll think we were being weird or something.” “Alright. Hey, I’ll be here to pick the three of you up before school tomorrow.” I open my mouth to tell him it’s fine, but his raised eyebrow makes me stay quiet. “Okay, whatever, sir.” “Uh huh. Get out of my car, punk.” he chuckles while I get out. Once he pulls away, I place my hand over my still racing heart.
Yeah.. I can tell we’re going to be good friends.

Más Vale Tarde Que Nunca
Good afternoon my readers! Since I haven’t given you the pleasure to read my latest blog yet, I will give my best now. And after this there is another task about few thoughts from the events that I participated in; this is obligatory, since I missed the lecture about Ultrahack. (I have met Ian McCready already, heard about Ultrahack personally from him and he actually got me a job of some kind in the Upgraded Life Festival, so I’m kind of familiar with what was on the lecture) Let’s have a look at previous week’s findings about digital world. As the title screams in Spanish, better late than ever.
Kwame Afreh
This lecture was about designing a webpage. Mr. Afreh is a freelance web designer and also a former Laurea student. He got us all intrigued, when having a look at Laurea’s own website design as a prospective student’s point of view. This is after all something, that we all have done at some point, I assume, when trying to figure out where to study. It was clear that there are some wonderful aspects but also many things to develop to make it more user-friendly. This is our task in the SSM project as well; trying to figure out, how they could improve their online looks with some gentle face-lifting. Having suitable versions to all three; tablet, mobile and computer are the things our team has been around for as well. Responsive design does play an important role on what image the peculiar company wants to have within’ users. According to Mr. Afreh, this is not even difficult to re-make, just use building blocks to maintain the same idea throughout and test your design widely. There was great slide “Heuristics For User Interface Design: Jakob Nielsen” that I would like to share with you, with some valuable tips for designers of all kind. Jakob Nielsen is a Danish consult, who has written an exciting book called “Designing Web Usability”, which I highly recommend to read.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is important to understand, who are your users and why do they visit your webpage. This way you can understand your individual customer needs. Mr. Afreh guided us to use only one column layout and avoid multiple same features, when designing new pages. In addition to that, simplified form fields make the page much more visually attractive. Last but not least we learned about SEO & Website accessibility in general and he asked us to take a look at the competitive websites and pick clues from those. For example, the Posti webpage layout differs quite a bit from SSM’s one and Laurea’s webpage is different from Haaga-Helia’s competitive one. I must say, one of the best university websites is maintained in Helsinki University. Very simple and easy access to whatever you’re searching for. This lecture’s objectives were to be able to define market, users and individual users of the webpage, create stories/cases (SSM has great potentiality to spread this even wider), apply design principles and after all, design a responsive webpage. Our team had some great ideas for SSM to use on their websites and social media altogether.

Jari Laine
From Aalto University, the next speaker talked about digitalization and IOT. Mr. Laine’s presentation was visual and very humorous, I found it very amusing. His presentation was divided into four sections; consumer behavior, competitive innovations, cost reduction and technologies available.
Tumblr media
Consumer behavior
First Mr. Laine asked us to define digitalization in our heads and said that Facebook is out. I would a bit disagree, for this module is mostly based on Facebook and all my future events is to be searched there the most convenient way for me. All of my news medias are right there all in one place and my relatives & friends around the world easy to reach. It is very much true though that the digital natives play with different rules and consumers are used to digital services. E-shopping is more and more common and despite the easiness (laziness), I still fancy the old-fashioned way. It is a really good question; What might be the future of eServices?
Digital natives are already hyper-connected and today’s omni-channel thinking will impact other industries, which is seen in consumer touch-points. “Steve Jobs killed Nokia”, stated Mr.Laine and somehow I agree with that. It’s quite a bit ironic that Mr.Jobs is no longer with us and Nokia making a bouncing comeback with their 3310 version of the old school Nokia. Consumers can also be lured by not to making any changes at all, which was the case in Burberry’s tactics. Their label is represented, not consumed. Mr.Laine mentioned fast decision-making to be the key when purchasing online. For example, when buying online flight tickets, don’t get surprised if the prices bounce to skies a week after your first scroll;) There were few sources missing on his presentation of who actually count as digital natives, but he had gathered the data quickly I understood. It is tough to define who is an active user and who is still in denial. This reminds me of the complexity of experimenting new services to potential customers and Henry Ford. When creating the car, the reason he didn’t ask the customers what they wanted, was simply put in his words: “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”
Competitive Innovation
The saying “boys want what other boys want” is probably not the best to quote in a digital business blog, but I’m going to do it anyway. There is this technology hype that everybody wants to get their foot in. Start-ups are building digital services and traditional companies are challenged the way that they are forced to enter into digitalization. This means that the leading Finnish companies are having dialogue with customers online and via eServices even more, examples worth mentioning here are Fazer and Stockmann. They both have visually and strategically improved their looks online and created positive imago even further.
Tumblr media
Cost reduction
Transferring services from traditional to digital world will eventually cut costs and this should get noticed in the public sector, says Mr.Laine. 3D-printing has already regenerated some items for good and works an amazing example on that what is possible in the world we live in today. Hospitals and medical students, warehouses and car factories and sports facilities are benefiting from this already, to name a few. Here’s a link to see what 3D-printing can do.

Technologies available
Viking Line’s Digital Customer Experience was intriguing and informative. Shops on the go are already a savior for many people in a hurry and will be more and more diverse in the future. Our idea as an eService was that there could be just one platform to fill all the papers that need a governmental approval online. This could save some time and could be something to add on the digital registration of cars by Trafi. Similarly, voice recognition will be something that will revolutionize the technology, here’s a good example of that:

All in all, technologies that eventually lack human to human touch, will more than ever need one thing for sure. TRUST. That is the valued part that is the glue that sticks the companies and customers together. Take a look at Uber, Airbnb and Tinder applications. Having tried them all, believe me, trust is the key.
Marcin Arcisz
The last speaker came all the way from Academic Work to show us opportunities that occur in the factor, where academic studies and work placement are possible to combine. Academic Work is doing business in cooperation with Laurea UAS. We got a nice presentation of what is the home of the young professionals and which are the new ways of recruiting. Through their company representation, we watched videos from their field of business and the examples shown were Kiinteistömaailma (“Who would ever want to be in the real estate business?”) website and imago upgraded and some talk about LinkedIn marketing & advertisement. Mr.Arcisz ended the presentation with “attitude is what counts” and that’s my thoughts exactly.
Laurea students’ Well-being Event in Seutula and Kivistö district
On a Saturday the 8th of April I got an opportunity to participate in physiotherapy student Jone Vallin’s scholarly thesis event. We worked together with Vantaa area entrepreneurs and students altogether for the well-being of the locals. The idea was to get the people living in Seutula and Kivistö area to come and familiarize themselves with the local offering and that’s where Laurea students hopped in. I was in charge of the marketing and informative site of the event with Jone. I was the only business student, since 95% were future physiotherapists.
There were yoga platforms, zone therapy sessions, massages, balance training, blood pressure tests, gym membership offers and Guasha-treatments. Then there was this option to do some beauty parlor treatments and the ladies went all crazy with that. I did measure my whole body fat and muscle mass with an expensive vehicle because it was free. Don’t know if I ended up laughing after that, but it was beneficial for my training.
What I learned when I wasn’t spending time online, but instead with people of all shapes and ages? I survived a long day with plenty of cups of coffee. I learned a lot from an elderly lady of 85 years old, when I stopped and just listened. I read people’s thoughts and feelings instead of online articles. I didn’t feel stressed after physical work. I slept way better that after scrolling Facebook in the evening. Sometimes it’s best to have these kinds of days as well, just to remind yourself that although everything is available online, you can still end up lost in Vantaa, if you don’t know where the right bus platform is (because your phone died!) and you actually have to talk to people instead of using GPS and online routes. Just saying.
