HALF-BAKED PROMPTS

For folks who missed the zine sign ups, you can participate through the HALF-BAKED prompts! To participate, all you have to do is:

make a Gundam Wing fanwork (fic, art, meta, crafts, edits, recipes, etc) inspired by the prompts.

works do NOT have to be Howard-centric, though it is encouraged!

share your works on medium of choice (late submissions are OK, but please do not post early!)

tag @weedgrandpacookbook​ and/or #weedgrandpacookbook so we can reblog/share your works. Feel free to DM or chat them to us as well!

Zine postponed

Hi all—

I wish I could think of a more elegant preface to segue into this, but unfortunately some RL chaos involving my living situation has buster rifle blasted through my plans to get this zine out on 4/20/22.

I’ve consulted with the contributors on how they’d like to move forward, and we will postpone the release of the zine to 4/20/23. I’m really sorry and disappointed to have to push this back, but this is to ensure that all the contributors’ works get showcased in the best possible light, without being rushed for the sake of meeting a deadline. In the meanwhile, the Half-Baked prompts are still live, and I’ll try to keep up in the tags to reblog any prompt fills. Feel free to send a DM or ask to bring your works to my attention!

I appreciate everyone’s patience and support through all this, and I look forward to lighting things up in 2023!

Half-Baked Prompts coming March 1st!

For folks who missed sign ups or weren’t sure if they could commit to the cookbook timeline, there’s another chance to participate: we’ll be posting a prompt list for April, ahead of the cookbook’s drop on 4/20!

Feel free to use any/all the prompts, and feel free to share works even if it’s past the prompt dates - just don’t post them too early! Folks can tag us @weedgrandpacookbook or #weedgrandpacookbook here. There will also be an AO3 collection for folks to add their works into. Things will be L I T!

This project will be an homage to the fanon of Howard as the Gundam Wing's chillest Weed Grandpa. Yes, this includes content that promotes/celebrates/normalizes the consumption of marijuana and adjacent substances recreationally. The FREE digital zine would be presented like a cookbook, with room for meta, fic, general advice, art, graphics, crafts (Gundam-themed pipes anyone?), and of course, dank recipes.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the theme, this zine will be considered 18+ NSFW. Be mindful of your local laws regarding creating and engaging with content of this nature.
