Week 2: Reflection
Finding my ‘No-Space’ around campus was easy because there was only one place that I would always sit in whenever I was wanting peace or to relax. I used white tape to measure out my 10x10 ‘No-Space’ and I did have people looking at me like ‘what is she doing’ but overall it was interesting. During week 2 I felt more organised because I was prepared and it was fun leaving the class and working outside. Week 2 reading covered representation of the environment through Christl Berg who lived in Australia after moving from Germany. Most of her artwork is from her experience in India where she went for holiday.

Week 3: ARTWORK OF ART HISTORICAL By: Stewart Scambler "I am interested in the land and hopefully my work reflects that interest. It is woodfired using local clays and timber that we grow specifically for the kiln. There seems to be something appropriate using the stuff of the land to explore its nature. My work is held in the Art Gallery of Western Australia , City of Fremantle and many interstate and overseas collections". - Stewart Scambler

Art in the Environment Week 2: Principle Reading: A Tracings: A photographic Investigation into Being in the Land By: Christl Berg Reading A Tracings: A photographic Investigation into Being in the Land allowed me to understand the meaning behind art photography. The artist should create an artwork that invites the viewers to interact and participate fully by using their emotions and senses to allow them to experience the full experience of the artwork.

Week 2: Exploration
“No-Place” Location: near Whelan Court and Sunken Garden
I have chosen this place because during my first year at the University of Western Australia whenever I get lost trying to find my classes I would sometimes give up and go sit alone near Sunken Garden. My “No-place” can easily be called peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. On the other hand, it not just the beauty of the place that makes in remarkable. the use of shape, form, structure and environment surrounding allows the place to be complete. the octagon shape on the clock which is in the centre of the garden standout from its ground surface because of the shape use. the colours used for the grounding shows harmony and rhythm that creates a beautiful form. the surrounding is Earthy because of the placement of the tree, grass and plants which are all green which create a place of freedom and peace. These are the many reasons why I love this place because art is what builds it.
