Sinedd’s canon design vs my fanon design

explaining my headcanon design(as the name suggests, these are just my headcanons.):

-not chiseled(I MISSPELLED IT): i always found the chiseled jawlines weird tbh? like they’re 16 years old and i’ve never seen a 16 year old with a chiseled jaw. just a personal preference

-longer hair: i always found the idea of someone adapting depending on the culture theyre participating in interesting. What does this have to do with the longer hair? well, i believe that in the Shadows culture, the men are traditionally the ones who have longer hair, so Sinedd let his hair grow out a little(i headcanon Sinedd as trans so its him wanting to look more traditionally masc)

-yellowish, slightly fucked up teeth: neglected children usually have a harder time with self care and hygiene. dont worry his teeth arent that bad,theyre just a little yellow

-eyeliner: another Shadows thing. yknow how the shadows have the black thing around their eyes? i could never figure out what that was lol. at first i thought it was makeup but now i just think its markings (cuz i dont think EVERY SINGLE shadow would wear makeup). but i just wanted sinedd to stand out more clearly as A Shadows Player so i gave him something akin to it. so ig the shadows convinced him to put on some makeup because no, its not just a girl thing. he was against it at first but as time went on he started putting it on heavier and heavier because he realized it looked Very Gender ™ . now u cant see him without it

-cross: OH BOY projecting religious trauma onto characters in a universe where it isnt even clear if it exists! my favorite! nah but fr tho i listened to “Irreverent Girl” by weevildoing one time and was like: yea this is sinedd, he has religious trauma now i’ve decided. On my GF religion post someone said Dame Simbai said “for pete’s sake” аt one point, so christianity exists in the universe! its a valid point. the only explanation i have is Sinedds orphanage was lowkey a christian cult and the cross was important to him(maybe it was from his parents so he couldnt let go of it?). u might be wondering what this even changes. it affects the trans headcanon (discrimination) and is just projection. let me live

-not shown in the pic: i just think having a physical representation of the smogs negative effects on sinedd would be neat(while sinedd is being irresponsible with it, aka the entire series minus s3 because that plot point was dropped). i dunno what it would be though. i believe the novelization mentioned the smog running through Artegors veins at one point,and while thats obviously supposed to be symbolic, i honestly think it would be cool if non-shadows using the smog irresponsibly would just....have black stuff running through their fucking veins. like sir i dont think thats healthy. and just generally looking paler the longer they use it. if anyone has any ideas about it let me know i would love to hear them(along with peoples general headcanons!)

thats it lol its half just self indulgent bullshit and half actual design ideas because of worldbuilding. the perfect balance. again if anyone has any headcanons i would love to hear em 👀 👂
