thy end up moving both campz to one spot & being Sorta one clan aftr yewheart is banished.. largely bcuz therez only one pseudo medicine cat left who waznt evn properly trained but at least knowz vaugely wht 2 do

also aftr like Agez i think ive finally settled on namez 4 the MAIN CHARACTERZ of bitd ! weevilface & poplarspring still might change the suffixez but 4 now i think thtz how thy will be........

one aspect of sunclan & moonclan i havnt rly touched on is their system of shade warriorz & shine warriorz- basically due 2 the type of weather where thy live & the clanz varying coat typez it can be very dangerous for thm to hunt in some weather, so thy hav a system where some catz will only hunt in warm weather & spend cold moonz largely huddled inside to stay warm, whereas othrz will stick to hunting with snow on the ground & spend hotter moonz keeping cool with shade & water... during their off seasonz thy will do various camp based taskz & help out in othr wayz, & in particularly rough timez thy may hav to help hunt to bring in enough food.... in addition there r many catz who would fall inbetween, mainly hunting in the more mild seasonz & laying low whn the weather is in either extream, but thy still fall into either category depending on slight preferencez

course this is all very unstructured & based on wht an individual can handle- som catz will hunt year round & som will only do so a few timez within the year, which is also a matter of their health & physicality not just their coat, for instance bearheart haz a lot of chronic issuez relating to his illness [poisoning] tht make him unable to hunt a great deal of the time

in termz of if a cat is a shade or shine warrior this is mainly a socal thing more thn a Role- u arnt assigned to be a shade warrior by the leader, but if yr friend askz if u wanna go hunting u might reply tht yr more of a shine warrior & plan to spend the day indoorz

a few examplez from my OCz- bearheart is considered a shine warrior, hez most active in the latter dayz of summer/early autumn, whn itz cooler out but before it startz to get Cold [post-canon whn his fur startz 2 grow in thicker he becomez more of a shade warrior] weevilface is a shine warrior, though hez the type to hunt year round & only stay in on very cold dayz... oriolecall is actually a shade warrior which is more uncommon in shorthairz but his chronic pain flairz up rly bad in the summer, he still huntz year round but generally preferz cooler weather! maggotstar is firmly a shine warrior thy cannot deal with cold much at all & doez a lot of their hunting in the hottest dayz of summer, etc etc

in moonclan & sunclan itz actually very unusual for kitz to be nammed until aftr thy open their eyez since kit mortality is so high

course this can vary, thundersong & stonewing nammed bearheart & his siblingz owlkit & wolfkit the night thy were born [somthing tht is more common amoung first time queenz but generally discouraged & seen a mistake born of no experience] which made their deathz hit so much harder- thy had just seemed so healthy..... maggotstar was also nammed near immediately aftr thy were born, in their fatherz eyez at least, but thy didnt actually get Offically nammed until their eyez opened! also technically speaking weevilface had stillborn siblingz but thy were nevr nammed nor rly known about by any1 othr thn coalcloud, her ex, & yewheart... unammed kitz arnt rly considered kitz yet by the clanz so thy dont Count as siblingz

Are there any other leader ocs you have?

a few! in termz of bitd therez only one other- coalcloud leader of sunclan! tho by the end of the main story shez probably dead w/ stonewing taking her place & becoming stonecloud!

whn coalcloud was granted her 9 livez [the only time othr thn whn loosing a life tht thy meet cloud/starclan] she also received a prophecy- beware poison hidden with the smell of sweet berriez- course this was before yew was even born & she misinterpreted it as referring 2 the moonclan deputy berrybrook, who happenz to hav a not so unrequited crush on her,.........she findz thm very funnie & charming but haz 2 keep reminding herself of the prophecy & forcing herself to Not like thm.... berrybrook 4 their part isnt rly pushing for a relationship seeing as they r in different clanz- mainly thy just flirt & enjoy coalz company whn thy can get it- thy find her very poorly maintained fake coldness cute! shez also the mother of weevilface- she was already pretty old at the point whn she had him which is possibly part of why the litter was just a single kit, shortly aftr or possibly evn before he was born she got Cat Divorsed from weevilz dad, who she isnt really friendz with anymore but the breakup was mutual & thy r very cordial about it

also half the clan thinkz tht yewheart haz a crush on her bcuz he flipped OUT whn she got severly sick one time, which seeing him like tht is almost entirely unheard of as hez very composed most of the time, her opinion of this is tht itz like if a kid yr babysitting had a crush on u, kinda funny n cute but absolutely nevr going anywhere [course it nevr would as yew haz no such feelingz- if coalcloud lost a life the many cloudclan memberz dead bcuz of him could hav a chance to tattle]

otherwise in my vvvv rarely mentioned Other fanclanz [gasp] i hav sagestar of pineclan & wolfstar of swampclan [therez also fieldclan but it doesnt hav a named lader lmao]

sagestar is like. a mean jock? his parentz where the former leader & deputy & hez been in the fast track to leaderhood his whole life- though he is also incredibly charismatic & seen as an amazing leader, if thtz true of not well.. in anycase he had a quazi romantic relationship with the younger medicine cat robinthroat well they were apprenticez & taught thm some fighting movez... a lot of pineclan had been whipped out by a disease & he became leader rather young- this also goez 4 his deputy, an incredibly inexperienced & young warrior tht mainly got her role thnkz to sagestarz fondness, course tht isnt exactly gonna do her much good whn robinthroat showz up with sagestarz corpse in his mouth 1 morning

wolfstar is a lykoi & so old tht the great grandkitz of the catz he grew up with r elderz, hez died of old age like 4 timez but still haz 3 of 9 to go so he keepz on trucking somhow, hez outlived like 6 deputiez, the current one is volefur who basically runz the clan

YEZ !! so like this isnt evry1 bcuz there r other victimz i just havnt rly fleshed out or placed somwhere in the story- rn im thinking he will hav 9 of thm? but tht number is likely to change, hard to pick a number as 2many would be weird as therez like. only 40 catz between the 2 clanz but i also dont wanna be like well. he killed like 2 catz

[name pending]- cockly loudmouth, first victim- started as yewpaw being annoyed tht he kept licking off the poultice on a scratch so he added a bit of somthin 2 make him a bit sick...yewpaw liked the feeling of being able to control the sickness & health of this cat n slowly ramped up the poison until he killed him

pineruff- yewheartz mentor, serious but lovez her clan very deeply, known to humor apprenticez gamez- put together the dotz & realized wht yew had done- assumed it was an accident but did confront him about it. yewheart killed her shortly after gaining his name, in a way so tht she was paralyzed and died slowly- made a show of trying to save her, she was unable to speak & tell wht had happened

owlkit & wolfkit- bearheartz siblingz, killed due to irritation with their mother thundersong not listening to his instructionz during the pregnancy, to punish her, he impliez tht the reason thy died is bcuz she waz 2 active well carrying thm [nevr around cat wht would kno tht 4 the bullshit tht it is] thundersong feelz a deep guilt & doez blame herself thnkz 2 him  

bearheart- originally he meant to kill him, but as he was a bulky kit he wasnt given the right dose, yew ran w/ it and got a kick out of playing god with the young cat- continuing to poison him right until the end well acting as his savior 

oriolecall- seemingly grouchie but a huge softie, yewheartz love interest, first non-poison murder- yew found him bleeding out from a coyote attack & simply finished the job. he got a lot more sloppy aftr this 

wolftongue moonclan medcat & poplarspringz mentor- killed in yewheartz quest to make himself irreplaceable, he spread poison on the leavez of a herb patch, so tht whn gathered thy would cause death

poplarspring- moonclan medicine cat, dating weevilface, killed aftr bearheart revealed poplar & weevilz suspicions towardz yew 2 yew... another non poision murder- thy were found twisted in the upwalker web, hung- last murder

weevilface is a super curious cat- he lovz to figure stuff out & bcuz of tht can rly bug his clanmatez with questionz, the kind of cat whoz either constantly talking or completely lost in thought, he also rly enjoyz telling othr catz about the thingz he knoz n theorizing on how thingz work generally

his parentz r Cat Divorced but it waz a mutual breakup type deal, not to much Drama, his mother is coalcloud the leader of sunclan! hez an an only kit ^___^

hez a bit younger thn bearheart but thy both entered the apprenticez den around the same time & became farly good friendz as bear didnt much mind the constant chatter & liked not being looked down on.. weevil also becomez close friendz & eventual boyfriendz with moonclan med cat apprentice poplarspring aftr yewheart both playz coy & outright refusez to explain anything about herbz or the treatment of woundz 2 him & weevil decidez well fuck it thn ill just ask the othr clanz med cat, pestering his mom into letting him go 2 1 of the rare gatheringz where thy met & started meeting in secret under the guise of curiosity [& there was plenty of it] but mostly bcuz thy liked eachothrz company

very quickly once he startz picking up on medicine be rly rly getz into it, & he also lovez puzzlez, not a very common thing but his grandpa dustwhisker would make up little riddlez or codez 4 him 2 solve! a game he likez 2 play is trying 2 guess wht an animal will do or how the weather will be or which plant will grow faster, tht sort of thing

he also likez collecting bonez & trying 2 find out wht happened 2 the ownrz based on thm- he keepz thm in a little spot aftr getting scolded 4 filling the apprenticez den with bonez, eventually this becomez where him & poplar meet up, who findz rly funnie 4 how morbid it is

by the end of the seriez, w/ yewheart wolftongue & poplarspring all dead he becomez the defacto med cat of the newly reunited clanz & well there is lost knoledge he doez his vest in the roll, helped by still his boyfriend but now also a ghost poplarspring

do they enact certain laws and/or requirements/background checks for the med cat role after yewheart is dealt with/found out?

not right away- largely bcuz with his death he also took almost All of the clanz knowlage of medicine & a bit of the specfic detailz their spiritual practicez with him... itz kind a huge Mess for a while aftr & the only reason the clanz dont hav 2 start entirely from scratch is tht weevilface had a huge crush on moonclanz med cat..... part of wht happened waz tht both clanz were moved 2 a halfway point between their territory so tht the now One Single Guy who knew anything about medicine could carw 4 both clanz ill & wounded

the problem with yew is tht there wouldnt hav been any red flagz in his BG- he waz a kitten.. mainly wht happenz is tht med catz r treated as more fallible treated w/ more scrutiny
