Why did you turn off reblogs?

Dear lord I think I got this question too many times alrd HASGFDH I'll copy paste the answer I replied to someone the other day:

for a few reasons actually: when a tumblr post gets reblogged, it'll stay on another person's blog even after the OG post got deleted. Most of the art I made unrebloggable are either unfinished or too sketchy for me, or something I might wanna delete in the future. so to prevent my unfinished art/sketches from staying outside my blog even if I delete it, I've decided to make them unrebloggable instead! Also to prevent it from spreading around, I suppose.

so the main reason why i adore this song lyrically is that the lyrics, though minimal, are so utterly beautiful. and this bit! i adore how well they use the moon as a metaphor by showing that the light of the moon is skewed by reflective, ever-moving surfaces such as lakes and seas — it's impossible to see your true beauty when you try to glance upon these imperfect mirrors.

in a way, it works really well. something about how people don't see their beauty for what it is, but only what is reflected in the way others see them. people who don't care for you will not think anything of how you look — but it is those who stay with you that will see what you possess and see you for who you are :')

Would you ever do freelance editing? I have been putting together disconnected notes for a fantasy project I want to write but i don't want people I personally know to edit it bc I'm terrified of people reading what I write

Also if you've answered this before I'm sorry I only just recently found your blog and I haven't had the opportunity to peruse too much

bro freelance editing is basically my dream job I'm just trying to nail down something more stable for the time being (bc I have no money lol)

In terms of fiction, my experience is mostly line and copy editing, so I'm definitely open to that sort of thing! I have done some developmental/plot-based work, but only with finished drafts, so I'm not really comfortable offering professionally anything that goes earlier in the writing process at this point in my career. (especially bc um I can't finish any of my own drafts so I can't promise any wisdom on that front. But! I can copyedit for days I literally went to school for that)

Also thanks for asking I actually don't think I've really clarified this before (also a nice reminder that my pinned post is a little out of date)

Anyway as it currently stands I am not actively seeking clients (don't have a formal website set up or anything) but I am open to work depending on the circumstances/project so please if you or anyone else is interested feel free to dm me!

hello! my name is jey and i used to run the blog @hydroponicjj​​. I’ve decided to move blogs because unfortunately, my previous one became an utter ghost town.

I am eighteen years old and have been on tumblr since I was about fourteen (the worst, yet best decision I've ever made).

for my own piece of mind (and privacy) I've decided to just go by jey because it’s easier and my name is unique and i'm paranoid
