A Georgia mom is "appalled" after water park employees said she couldn't breastfeed in a pool.

"I have never in my years of being a breastfeeding mother had one single negative comment made to me about breastfeeding while out in public ... but today was a different day," Tiffany Francis, a mother of two, wrote in a July 14 Facebook post.

Francis explained that she had gone to Rigby's Water World, an aquatic park in Warner Robins, with her 11-month-old son, Landon, and her 4-year-old daughter, Olivia. Before Landon's nap, they entered a lazy river so Francis could nurse while they floated in an inner tube, as she often did at Rigby's.

"He likes motion to sleep," she explained on Facebook. "He sleeps well in the car or swing so he will also sleep in the lazy river."

According to Francis, a lifeguard approached her and said, "Ma'am you can’t breastfeed in the lazy river."

"I kind of laughed because I thought he was just making a joke in very poor taste," she wrote. "Then he got on the radio and had a lady come and tell me I wasn’t allowed. I was trying to pull the baby off but when (the) baby is latched, he’s latched."

Francis said the second employee reiterated the breastfeeding rules, so she exited the water with Landon and Olivia to investigate.

"Of course there was nothing stating anything about children, except for (that) babies needed to wear swim diapers (which he was)," she wrote. Francis said she asked to speak to a manager, who told her, "No food or drinks in the water."

"Imagine all the bodily fluids being excreted into the water but they’re worried about breast milk when the baby was latched, my breast was out of the water, and the milk was only going into baby’s mouth," she wrote. "But really it wasn’t even about him eating in the water — it was about it making other guests uncomfortable."

"I’m just so upset and appalled and wanted to give a heads up to all the other moms out there that this is how breastfeeding moms are treated at Rigby’s Water World," she wrote.

Francis wrote that she asked Rigby’s for a refund on her $92.99 season pass, which she was denied. She said she left the facility that day in tears.

Francis cited Georgia law which "allows a mother to breastfeed her baby in any location where the mother and baby are otherwise authorized to be."

Fifty states, including Georgia, allow breastfeeding in public or private places, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, which states that 31 of those states exclude breastfeeding from public indecency laws.

Francis tells TODAY.com that she often breastfeeds at Rigby's — including earlier that day in another pool, and no one "batted an eye."

"I was wearing a one-piece swimsuit and my son's head covered more of my breast than just my suit did," she says. "My top was pulled down enough for him to feed but it revealed nothing."

The mom added that the park was packed with people that day, leaving little option for her to breastfeed elsewhere.

Francis says Steve Brown, vice president of operations at Rigby’s Water World, called her two days later to apologize.

Brown tells TODAY.com that Rigby's revised its breastfeeding policy within hours of the incident, adding that staff has been re-educated about the law. "We had a policy in place that didn't allow breastfeeding in the river that was in line with the health department's standard on no eating or drinking in the pools," he says, adding that breastfeeding in other areas of park has always been permitted. According to the Georgia Department of Public Health's rules and regulations for public swimming pools, spas, and recreational water parks, "Bathers shall not be allowed to eat or drink while in or partially in the water."

Francis was invited to nurse on the pool deck, he says, preferably in the shade on a lounge chair, and added that she was never asked to leave the water park, departing on her own accord.

"When I was made aware of the law that mothers can breastfeed anywhere they're allowed to be, we reviewed our policy, reaching out to other experts who operate aquatic facilities," he says. "From there, we decided to allow our guests to breastfeed in the pools, should they choose."

Brown said he called Francis to apologize for the “misguided" policy.

"We were under the impression it was a health code violation," he says. "It was a misunderstanding ... it was my mistake to misinterpret the law .... there are different opinions on this issue but we want to comply with the law."

Brown confirms that Francis will not receive a refund on her seasonal pass, per Rigby's policy.

"In this case, we didn't tell (Francis) that she couldn't come to the park or ask her to leave the park," he says. "We have not issued a refund because she is more than welcome to return to the park and breastfeed anywhere she chooses."

Francis says she can't imagine returning to Rigby's.

"I don't know what they expected — for me to lay down while they broke the law?" she says. "'Especially for something that moms are shamed for all the time."

ALABAMA SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

Alabama has three Indian casinos that offer Class II video gaming machines. They are not required to release payback statistics about their machines.

ARIZONA SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

In mid-1993 Arizona’s Governor Symington signed a compact with the state’s tribes that allowed them to offer slot machines on their reservations.

The compact originally didn’t allow for any table games but in early 2003 blackjack was added as a permissible table game.

Arizona tribes aren’t required to release information on their slot machine percentage paybacks, however, according to the Arizona Department of Gaming, the terms of the compact require eachtribes’ machines to return the following minimum and maximum paybacks: video poker and video blackjack - 83% to 100%, slot machines - 80% to 100%, keno - 75% to 100%. Each tribe is free to setits machines to pay back anywhere within those limits.

ARKANSAS SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

Arkansas has two pari-mutuel facilities featuring “electronic games of skill,” which are defined as “games played through any electronic device or machine that affords an opportunity for theexercise of skill or judgment where the outcome is not completely controlled by chance alone.”

The games offered are video poker, video blackjack, and “skill” slots where you have two opportunities to spin the reels. The “skill” factor comes into play because after seeing the results ofyour first spin you then have to decide whether to keep none, one, two, or all three of the symbols on each reel before you spin them again. Gaming regulations require that all of theelectronic games of skill must return a minimum of 83%.

For the one year period from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019, the average gaming machine’s return at Oaklawn was 92.81% and at Southland, it was 92.72%

CALIFORNIA SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

California’s Indian casinos are legally allowed to offer electronic gaming machines, blackjack, and other house-banked card games. The games of craps and roulette are not permitted. However,some casinos do offer modified versions of craps and roulette that are played with cards rather than dice or roulette wheels.

Most California card rooms also offer some form of player-banked blackjack, but because they are prohibited by law from playing blackjack, the game is usually played to 22 rather than 21.Additionally, players must pay a commission to the house on every hand they play. The amount will vary depending on the rules of the house but, generally, it’s about two to five percent of thetotal amount bet. There are about 90 card rooms in California and you can see a listing of them on the Internet at http://www.cgcc.ca.gov

California’s tribes aren’t required to release information on their slot machine percentage paybacks and the state of California does not require any minimum returns.

DELAWARE SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

Delaware’s three pari-mutuel facilities all feature slot machines. Technically, the machines are video lottery terminals (VLT’s) because they are operated in conjunction with the DelawareLottery. Unlike VLT’s in other states, however, Delaware’s machines payout in cash. The VLT’s also play other games including video poker, video keno, and video blackjack.

By law, all video lottery games must return between 87% and 95% of all wagers on an annual basis. Games can return above 95% but only with the Lottery Director’s approval.

According to figures from the Delaware Lottery for the twelve-month period from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019, the average VLT return at Dover Downs was 92.59%, at Delaware Park itwas 92.12%, and at Harrington Raceway it was 92.03%.

In mid-2018 a U.S. Supreme Court decision legalized sports betting at all U.S. casinos. Delaware was one of the first states to act on the ruling and all three of the state’s casinos offersportsbooks.

In January 2010 the Delaware legislature approved the addition of table games for the state’s casinos.

FLORIDA SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

Florida has three forms of casino gambling: casino boats, Indian casinos and gaming machines at pari-mutuels in two south Florida counties.

The casino boats offer gamblers the opportunity to board ships that cruise offshore where casino gambling is legal. From the East Coast, the boats sail three miles out into the Atlantic Oceanand from the west coast the boats travel nine miles out into the Gulf of Mexico. Since the casino boats travel in international waters they are free from regulations and the machines can be setto pay back whatever the operator wants without regard to a minimum payback percentage.

Florida has eight Indian gaming locations. The Seminole Tribe has seven and the eighth is on the Miccosukee Tribe’s reservation.

The Seminoles signed a compact with the state that allows them to offer both Class II and traditional Class III gaming machines. As part of their compact, five Seminole casinos are also allowedto offer the following:

mini-baccarat

three-card poker

let it ride

pai gow poker

The Miccosukee Tribe has not signed a compact and they only offer Class II gaming machines at their casino.

Class II video gaming devices look like slot machines but are actually bingo games and the spinning reels are for “entertainment purposes only.” No public information is available concerningthe payback percentages on any gaming machines in Florida’s Indian casinos.

The other games allowed in all Indian casinos include

All of the casinos are open 24 hours (except Big Cypress) and all offer bingo except for both Seminole Hard Rock Casinos and the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The minimum gambling age is18 at all Indian casinos for bingo or poker and 21 for electronic gaming machines.

Broward County (home county of Fort Lauderdale) and Miami-Dade County both have four pari-mutuel facilities that each offer electronic gaming machines, but no table games.

Florida gaming regulations require a minimum payback of 85% on all gaming machines. From July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019, the gaming machines at Magic City returned 93.43%, CasinoMiami returned 92.34%, Hialeah Park returned 93.55%, Gulfstream Park returned 92.16%, Dania Casino returned 92.68%, Big Easy returned 91.50%, Calder returned 91.32%, and The Isle returned90.22%.

GEORGIA SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

There are two casino boats in Georgia which both sail three miles out into international waters where casino gambling is permitted.

Since the casino boats travel in international waters they are free from regulations and the machines can be set to pay back whatever the operator wants without regard to a minimum paybackpercentage.

IDAHO SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

Idaho has six Indian casinos that offer electronic pull-tab machines and other video games. The machines don't pay out in cash. Instead they print out a receipt which must be cashed by a floorattendant or taken to the cashier’s cage. Some casinos also offer bingo (BG) and off-track betting (OTB).

The terms of the compact between the tribes and the state do not require any minimum payback percentage that the gaming machines must return to the public.

ILLINOIS SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

Here’s information from the Illinois Gaming Board showing each casi­no’s average slot payback percentage for the one-year period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018:

KANSAS SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

In April 2007 the Kansas legislature authorized local referendums to allow state-run casinos in four counties.

The Kansas Racing & Gaming Commission does not release information about the payback percentages on electronic gaming machines in Kansas. However, gaming regulations require that allmachines return no less than 87%.

There are also five Indian casinos in Kansas and they are not required to release information on their slot machine payback percentages. However, according to officials at the Kansas StateGaming Agency, which is responsible for overseeing the tribal-state compacts, 'the minimum payback percentage for electronic gaming devices is 80%.'

LOUISIANA SLOT MACHINE PAYBACK STATISTICS

This review unit was sent to me courtesy of the kind people at Zidoo, so thank you very much, and especially Tommy, for the help and support!

Zidoo is a young, yet up and coming manufacturer in the TV box industry. They don’t limit themselves to one chipset manufacturer but are open to all possibilities.

The X6 Pro is Zidoo’s first RK3368 based box. The Octa core allows for good performance and the physical build of the box is quite good. There are some bugs to iron out before it is perfect, but hopefully, it will come with time.

What’s in the Box?

The box contains the standard assortment of necessities: The TV Box (naturally), HDMI 2.0 cable, Standard IR remote control (with a learning function), a warranty, QC tag, and a Simple manual.

Looks

Zidoo X6 Pro is a nice change from the almost-constant black look. It sports a metallic look (actually a mix between plastic and aluminium) with black accents, and a black matte finished bottom. Two USB 2.0 ports (one of which is OTG), and the standard affair of other ports (Optical SPDIF, AV port, micro-SD expansion slot and LAN) are all there.

Benchmarks and Testing

All benchmarks have been repeated 3 times and results have been averaged to give a more accurate reading:

Antutu Benchmark

The Antutu benchmark tests single core performance over multi-core as it is a better indication of the performance of one device over others in most situations. The X6 Pro gets 5th place, after the older S802-H box, two RK3368 boxes and a S812 box. It shows that the clock speed of each core in the X6 Pro may be limited to save power/prevent overheating. 

Recently, Antutu benchmark has been updated to version 6 which uses different parameters and sub-tests, so the graphs are still based on the older 5.7.3 version for comparison, but here is the result of the new (6.0.0) Antutu version: 38397

GPU Mark Benchmark

GPU Mark tests 3d gaming performance and also provides a normalized score according to the used screen resolution (for a more accurate result). The test is quite short and should be taken as a supporting result to that of the more serious 3D Mark benchmark. X6 Pro’s score is a mixed bag as it gets only 7th place in the average frames per second score, but a nice 4th place in the average & screen res normalized score. It may only need some firmware fine tuning to get  better performance out of it.

A1 SD Benchmark

A1 SD Benchmark tests RAM and flash memory speeds. As can be seen in the provided graphs, RAM is much faster (by a factor of about 40) than flash memory – that is why it’s in smaller amount and is also volatile (does not keep its contents after a reboot). The X6 Pro takes 4th and 5th place in these tests, close by to the other RK3368 and S905 based boxes, which are the current leaders in this line up.

PC Mark Benchmark

The PC Mark benchmark test suite gives a more task/day oriented picture of performance. Things like photo editing, web browsing and video playback are tested. Location of the X6 Pro on the table was determined according to the “Work performance score” as it is a summary of all the other scores. The X6 Pro takes a respectable 4th place right along with the other RK3368 based boxes.

3D Mark Benchmark

3D Mark benchmark is considered as one of the best ways to test 3d performance on Android (and other platforms). The X6 pro does not show a strong placement here, with both RK3368 and even S802 boxes leaving him behind.

On the X6 Pro, as in all previously tested RK3368 boxes, even though it identified it as OpenGL 3.1 capable, it could not run the 3.1 or the 3.0 tests correctly, so I was forced to run the OpenGL 2.1 tests instead. It is a known issue.

Video Playback testing (Using KODI)

I did notice issues with video playback. It didn’t occur in every video file, but in some files the video would freeze while audio continues, and when it unfroze, the audio would be out of sync for a while till it “caught up”. The same happened when fast forwarding (the shorter period of fast forwarding the faster it would catch up) – similar to a rubber band getting back to its original size.

SPMC 15 shown better results and no sync/freeze/crash issues. 

Issues and bugs

WiFi 802.11ac performance was noticeably better (probably thanks to the AP6335 WiFi module) than the wired performance (my wired connection is AV500 Ethernet over power-line, and that means it is somewhat limited).

I experienced a few crashes in Kodi. Mostly when I stopped playback or even in the middle of it, but not every time.

videos would lose sync at times, and the only way to get it back is to stop the video and resume it.

videos sometimes take a while to start, with the audio preceding the video playback.

Remote control is not too good. very directional with soft buttons.

Rooting is not perfect. I was unable to use my performance measuring app to check frame rate and resource usage.

Most of the video issues seem to come from the playback being unable to handle videos that are coded with less than perfect parameters. As such, films usually played better than TV shows.

Network performance

Network performance has been tested using Speedtest.net Internet speed measuring app, in WiFi and in Wired mode. My Internet connection is 200 Mbit Synchronous Fibre connection. The performance is not too shabby, and on par with other ap6335 based devices.

Gaming performance

I use an application called “GameBench” to measure frame rate and resource usage in games. However, even though the box is confirmed to be rooted, the application simply would not (or could not) “hook” into the game. It actually crashed without loading the before the game loaded in each of these cases. Therefore, I have to give a subjective opinion of the performance of these:

Asphalt 8 Airborne – a 3d graphic intensive racing game. Asphalt played quite smoothly, without any slowing down, jerkiness or delay in loading screens or play screens.

Angry Birds 2 – a popular 2d action game. The game played smoothly. Loading screens were swift and the game did not hick up during gameplay.

Walking War Robots – an online robot warfare game that requires a game-pad (I don’t have a game-pad). The game played smoothly, and shown no sign of slowing down or jerkiness.

Conclusions

Did I like it? Somewhat, it is a powerful machine but it still some way away from smooth sailing – especially with the video issues and crashes in Kodi.

Would I recommend it? Watch out for firmware updates that will bring this powerhouse to its full potential. It does well in gaming, and its Kodi woes will be resolved quite soon. Also, you may want to try Kodi alternative versions (latest 16 beta, or SPMC) for a better experience.

I give it… 3.7 / 5 and I do believe it will get better with time and firmware update rounds. The design is solid, and the support is there. The optional rooted firmware is a nice added touch.

The only thing better than Blake Lively’s seemingly endless stream of creative outfits is the way the actor always manages to come up with hilarious commentary on her own style.
