May I get la squadra x oc headcanons?? Chase is 18, and was raised SUPER religious, so when she started talking ab her imaginary friend who could do scary things , she was thtown into a loop of being ignored or treated different. The first time she met someone who could see { RIOT } she cried. Bc this whole time she thought she was crazy or posessed hy the devil himself.

She super clingy with Melone especially, who was the first person to welcome her to La Squadra. Her second fav is Illuso , who helps her braid her hair . I see them as a highly dysfunctional family type.

Shes shy , a bit spacy , but loves her job. In her eyes shes lrotecting her family, so of course she loves it. She does get scared of her stand somethimes though.

Yes but the thing is people never know never notice how fucking bad you're doing. She didn't even stop for a second to think that something might be wrong with Nora, she only thinks about her abandonment issues which she mentioned so many times. I get that she is angry but she's coming off way too strong. And it makes me angry that nobody except josh noticed how bad nora is doing. bc it's so realistic i've experienced that so many times

i totally get how frustrating it is when no one notices how bad you’re doing, especially the people who SHOULD notice, believe me, i’ve been there, or more accurately, i kinda am there currently, and i’m really sorry that you had to experience that so many times. it’s just a horrible situation to be in and i hope you’re in a better place now. 

but i also find it kind of hard to blame people for not noticing because a lot of the time it’s actually not that easy to notice and we often MAKE it not easy to notice. we say we’re fine and we come up with excuses and if we’re lucky someone notices that we’re lying and helps us. but i don’t know if it’s really fair to expect that of people. if people don’t notice it’s usually not because of a lack of willingness to notice (except when it is but then that’s a whole different story), they just... don’t notice. maybe they have their own problems that let’s them not see it, maybe they don’t have the right frame of reference to accuratly interpret the situation or maybe they are just not observant enough. but those aren’t really things you can really blame people for, in my opinion. 

and in case of nora and the girls... they haven’t even known each other for 2 months at this point. they are still learning each other, they are still kind of figuring each other out and it’s quite hard to really be able to tell which kinds of behaviors are normal for someone and which ones are not. we also saw that when mailin had that strong reaction to the corona scare and we and the girls didn’t really know why she reacted so strongly until she explained it. 

and nora hasn’t really shown many strong signs that something is seriously wrong with her in front of the girls. she has seemed a bit “spacy” or distracted but to some extent she also was kind of like that before when she was still actively dealing with her mother, so it’s probably not that easy to identify her current behavior as so out of the ordinary. 

and ava specifically has been worried for a while now - even before nora’s symptoms got so serious - that nora might not be as invested in the friendship as she and the others are. and of course she is and has been wrong about that and that distrust isn’t really fair of her. but that also most likely comes from previous experiences where she’s been hurt so i can’t really fault her too much for not trusting that easily and quickly. 

and well, now her suspicions, or worries have, seemingly, been proven right, so i think it’s only human that that is the first thing that comes to mind for her and the explanation she’s going with, especially now when it’s still quite fresh and she’s still hurting and also overwhelmed with having to try to fix the situation. of coure it would be nice if she had a bit more consideration for nora and how she’s doing but i can also understand if she simply isn’t in the right frame of mind for this right now. 

and i’m not saying that ava is acting perfectly or that she’s completely justified in how she’s acting, i just think she also deserves some empathy.
