officialgrandpa answered your question “I’m so mad, I cannot find my sketchbook anywhere, I don’t remember...”
mai taking yami shopping while the others r at school? they have like similar clothing styles so//
My love for the friendship between Mai and Yami knows no bounds. I just wish there was more content for it.

“Are you sure this is okay? I mean, I don’t... want you wasting money on me.” Atemu mumbled, blushing a bit as he followed Mai into the large shopping center.
“Sweetie, it’s fine! I’ve got more money than I know what to do with, and besides, I think it’s time for a change of fashion for you. You don’t even go to Domino High and yet you still wear the uniform.” Mai commented, glancing back at the boy who, yes, was wearing the uniform. Well, he wore the jacket, his pants were his typical leather ones. Though she did notice he wore a t-shirt today, so that was a change.
“I like how it looks on me.” He shrugged. “Come on, Mai, you and I dress similar anyway.”
“When we duel, we do.” She pointed out, taking him into a store.
It was obviously a clothing store, a large one, with different sections and such. Atemu hadn’t gone clothes shopping before in his life! Or even in his previous life! He always just stole Yugi’s clothes since the two of them were the same height. He was completely clueless, but he trusted Mai. He knew she had a sense of fashion, hell, the lovely pencil skirt and lilac dress shirt she wore went great with the black vest she picked out to match.
He looked like he didn’t know how to dress himself. He blushed all over again as she pulled him along. “So, aside from leather, what sort of clothing do you like?”
“I like what Aibou wears, for the most part. Some of his outfit choices are... not the best. Remember that outfit I wore the night Kaiba announced Battle City? He picked it out.”
“Oh honey, that outfit was... tacky. But your punk, baby goth combo look made it work. Somehow.”
Atemu raised an eyebrow. “Thank you. I think. But I like blues, reds, and purples. Black is nice, and I use to wear white and cream colored clothes when I was pharaoh.”
“I’ll see what I can find in those for you.” Mai commented, walking towards the men’s section, passing through the women’s. She stopped when Atemu came to a sudden halt. She turned, finding him staring at something.
A skirt, in a lovely shade of pearl white. “It looks sort of like what I wore as pharaoh. I wouldn’t mind this, if I can find the right top for it...”
Mai raised an eyebrow, before smiling, taking it from him. She put it against his hips, looking at him. “Hmm... You know what, yes, I think if we find a nice top, with the right accessories... oh! Yes, this would look good on you! Heck, I think this would look good on me too, don’t you think?” She winked, getting a laugh out of the shorter boy.
“Would that be alright? I mean, I know boys don’t... really wear skirts and such nowadays...”
“Oh boo hoo on that nonsense, you can wear it. And if anyone gives you trouble, just punch them. You don’t take shit from people anyone, if you want to strut yourself as a Egyptian king in the modern era, then I think you should! And from what those pants show off, you’ve got legs for days, Atemu, don’t hide them.”
Atemu blushed again, nodding rapidly. They grabbed two skirts, one for each of them, before continuing on. Atemu found a few dress shirts and tank tops he liked, some that even Yugi might wear. Pants were a bit more difficult, as they really couldn’t find much that fit him, outside of things that look like they were already in Yugi’s closet. They bought a few anyway.
“Mai, this is too much, this has to be way more money then I make at the shop in a year.” Atemu frowned, looking at the large selection of clothes they had picked out, sitting on the counter.
“Atemu, I told you, I’ve got this covered!” Mai huffed, giving his cheek a pinch. “I’m spoiling my favorite pain in the neck today, don’t make me regret it.” She joked, smiling sweetly.
Atemu rubbed his cheek, but smiled back at her, watching her pay with her credit card, before taking the bagged clothes. The least he could do is offer to carry the purchases.
They left the store, deciding to wander around. They found a game store, going to explore that a bit. They left with several Duel Monsters booster packs and a t-shirt of Kuriboh for Atemu to wear. Another shop was full of scented soaps and lotions. Atemu liked it, but some of the smells made him dizzy. He bought Mai a lilac-scented lotion, she got him honey-scented.
After they got lunch at one of the restaurants in the large complex (Atemu paid, they had Chinese), they went to another store, one for make up. Mai said she needed to see if they had her favorite eye shadow, it wouldn’t be a long visit inside.
But she didn’t realize that Atemu was very interested in the items inside. She found the eye shadow she was looking for, but realized that her companion had walked off, spotting him looking at some of the make up. “Are you interested?” She asked.
“Hm?” He blinked, turning to her. “Oh, yeah. When I was pharaoh, make up was normal for me and the other higher ups to wear. A bit of kohl, some eye shadow, even make up on the lips, it was normal. Again, this seems like something that.... I don’t think...”
“Again, punch someone if the face if they don’t like it, besides, lots of famous men wear make up, and if it makes your eyes pop or shows off your good side, wear it.”
He looked at the few items he held in his hands. “Can I?” He asked, smiling at her.
Mai smiled at this, nodding.

“I’m home!” Yugi called, opening the door to the shop. He found Grandpa at the counter, checking over some paperwork, getting a hello from him. Grandpa mentioned that Mai and Atemu were in the house area, and Yugi headed there to see them. He wanted to know how the shopping trip went, since Atemu had been walking about all of yesterday, excited to hang out with his friend.
He found the two of them in the dining room. Atemu was in a new outfit, a nice form fitting gray top, with black, faded jeans. The outfit looked nice on him, but Yugi blinked, seeing that Atemu was wearing... blue eye shadow and mascara?
“Look at me, I want to do the lips now.” Mai said, holding up a tube of lipstick, a shade different than Atemu’s natural lip color. She paused, finally noticing Yugi. “Oh hey! How was school?” She smiled.
“It was good, looks like you two were productive.” Yugi chuckled.
“We were, do you like what Mai did? She’s teaching me how to apply this stuff so I can do it myself, Aibou!” Atemu grinned. “I think she did a better job than my old make up applier did back in my time. What do you think?”
“You look good! Though I think a bit of gold mixed with the blue would work a bit better.”
“See, I told you.” Mai huffed. “I’ll apply it when I get those darn lips of yours finally painted.”
“No, it tastes funny.”
“Then don’t lick this one off like you did the last one.”

I threw in A LOT of personal headcanons in this (including my love for Atemu wearing make up and skirts even in modern times because he knows what looks good on him)
I hope this is good!
