The Best Corner Toilet for Compact Bathrooms
Corner toilets are a unique feature that can be used in bathrooms. By using the empty corner space, they give us more space!sk
Did you know that corners in bathrooms (or any other room) are often underutilized? There is not much that can fit in corners other than a lamp, desk, or plant.
Corner toilets are actually possible, you might be surprised. They are essentially the same as regular toilets except for the shape of their tank.
There are only a few options for corner toilets. American Standard, a long-standing American Company, manufactures corner toilets. Renovator's Supply is known for its compact corner toilets.
This article will share my top picks as well as some tips on buying a corner toilet. You might need to change the location of your plumbing if you are remodeling your bathroom. You will need to measure the "rough in" size of your toilet if it is already installed for a corner one.
The Corner Toilet - An Innovative Option for Small Spaces
Most people don't notice the toilet. Although it is an important item in the bathroom, it is rarely the main focal point. We would prefer that people notice the sink, tile, and shower.
Tumblr media
There are only a few spots where you can put your toilet. The common location is right next to the sink, while another is near the shower. It would be nice if it took up less space and was out of the way.
Corner toilets have existed for quite some time, believe it or not. They were something I saw a lot growing up, and I thought they were a brilliant idea. While I would walk through the plumbing aisle of the hardware store, I saw many regular toilets. But I didn't see any built for corners.
They were special-ordered
The internet has allowed more toilet manufacturers to offer more niche options. Amazon has many models, including a standard no clog toilet and a wall-hung toilet.
If you purchase a toilet on Amazon that you like, they will install it for a reasonable price. However, if you are handy, it is not difficult to do yourself.
Corner Toilet Dimensions
Let's clarify this. To determine the dimensions of a corner bathroom, you don't have to be able to recall high school geometry. You will need to measure 2 inches (regular toilets only require 1 measurement).
You can see photos in my article on rough-in if you aren't sure what it is. A corner rough-in does not measure from the corner. It is measured from the corner to the middle of the pipe, not the wall. ).
Most cases will require a 12" rough in. This is all you need when looking for your new throne.
The toilet bowl will be exactly the same size as standard toilets. You can choose to have the bowl either round or elongated. A round bowl is smaller and ideal for smaller spaces. Elongated bowls, which are only a few inches longer, are more suitable for taller people.
The tank is what makes the toilet different from other small corner toilets. It will be a triangular shape and will fit snugly in the corner. The tank dimensions can vary depending on which style you choose. Some toilets will be smaller and taller than others, while others will be shorter or wider.
The Best Compact Corner Toilet
Renovator's Supply may not be well-known to you, but they make high quality toilets. This is our best corner toilet.
Tumblr media
This dual flush toilet maximizes space in your bathroom. The toilet uses a round bowl that provides between 2-4 square feet of space, which you can then use for other purposes. The premium features are not compromised by its size.
Dimensions: 29" x 17 1/4" x 30".
White porcelain
Double flush
Slow, close seating
2-piece
It comes with a chair, which I love. The seat is usually sold separately by most brands and costs $50 more. It is a slow-close option, so the seat won't slam when it moves up or down.
Renovator's Supply adheres to regulations and has a limit of 1.6 gallons per flush. Dual flush allows users to save more water and money (urine flush.8 Gallons).
The only thing I dislike about this toilet are the bolt covers or bolt bolt covers. You can use your old toilet bolts, but not the same covers.
It's a great value for money and most comments say it's ideal for small bathrooms. The corner toilet is a great option for small bathrooms.
American Standard Cadet 3-Piece Round 2-Piece Toto
American Standard toilets are used in American bathrooms. They are durable and come with a multi-year warranty.
American Standard is focused on functionality and you won't find fancy toilets in their name. The Cadet 3 is a corner toilet that they make. You can also get the Cadet 3 in other locations.
This 2-piece, single-flush toilet has a round bowl and a single flush. This toilet is ideal for tight spaces because of its round bowl. It can hold a 12" rough in, which is what you will likely need.
It has a classic look and easy-to-clean vitreous China. It is finished with their antimicrobial "Ever Clean".
2-piece
White
Single flush (1.28 gallons per flush)
12" rough-in
32" x 19.2” x 31.5"
59 lbs
This toilet has received solid reviews. The brand is known for quality so you can be sure that this toilet will last. It's great for small spaces, according to many comments.
It doesn't include a seat, but that's normal with most toilets. You can expect to spend more money on a good toilet seat (check my article about the best toilet seats).
Renovator's Supply: Space Saving Dual Flush, Round Corner Toilet
Renovator's Supply is a company that has a variety of corner toilets and is often mentioned on our list.
The tank lid and bowl base are white. This option is also available in a black version. This toilet is a great choice if you are looking for a small, but elegant-looking toilet.
This toilet is similar to the first RS toilet. It has the dual flush (.8/1.28), and can be used with a standard 12” rough-in.
31" x 185" x 32.5"
With additional lines, curved
Finish in scratch-proof China
Affordable price
Bolt covers and bolt covers are not included
Included: Seat
Almost all the reviews are positive about the design and size. It works well, they say. Many customers agree that the included toilet seat is of poor quality and they recommend installing a new one.
Renovation Supply - Space Saving Corner Toilet
An elongated toilet is recommended for tall people. These toilets have an oblong, not round, bowl. This toilet has a bit more room for maneuvering on the pot.
You can use the rest of the toilet the same way (tank, rough in etc), but you will need a matching elongated seat (Renovator’s Supply includes a seat).
For taller people, the elongated version is better
Dimensions: 32 1/4" x 19 1/2" x 33 3/4"
White
Optional installation (Amazon).
China finish
12" rough-in
Elongated toilets are quite common in the U.S., and you may have one already. Corner toilets will have a bowl that extends 2-3 inches further than a round toilet. A round toilet is a good option for situations where space is important.
This commode has received excellent reviews. Dual flush is a popular option with customers. If you upgrade from a 3.5 gallon or 5 gallon toilet, you will immediately notice savings in water and money.
This elongated bowl can be saved space by using the corner. It looks great and works well.
Renovator's Supply: Black, Elongated Corner Toilet
You like the look of the previous toilet, but you want to make it more colorful? It will work well in a designer bathroom and attracts attention. We get asked a lot of questions about why toilets are always white. Although white toilets are easier to clean than black ones, they don't look nearly as cool.
Black is elegant and trendy. You don't have to be boring if you want a black toilet. (Read my article about black toilets and style). Although it is more expensive than a white toilet, it will save you money on your water bills because it has a dual flush.
