maarva: *dies* [and the show wants to make me believe she’s some sort of martyr]

me, knowing fully well this woman kidnapped cassian as a child, severed all his meaningful relationships, separated him from his sister, talked down and belittled him at every available opportunity, and later unceremoniously abandoned him because all of a sudden she cared about rebelling against the empire, hence hurting him even further after piling nothing but trauma upon trauma on his shoulders:

#it's what she deserved #the only good thing she did on the entire show #just to be clear I love the fact cassian's last push to join the fight in the show comes from a mother figure #and diego killed it with his acting throughout the entire season esp given the complex relationship with maarva #what I absolutely loathe is that is coming from a character like maarva who did ALL OF THAT and MORE to Cassian through the entire season #like srsly on virtually every freaking on screen appearance she has she's downright disrespecting him and belittling him #like.... ??? is this the meaningful mother-son relationship most of us wanted???#beru whitesun lars would never #ai talks and0r #and0r critical
