The second Hubert und Staller TV movie, ‘Unter Wölfen’ is pretty damn amazing. Lots of great people, utterly hilarious, one great long episode.

The only thing that would have made it even better would have been casting Maximilian Grill as Sebastian Kurz, partner to Melanie Eder, played by Bettina Lamprecht. There were several scenes with Betty, Helmfried, and Robert Schupp (another guest star, the one I originally watched the movie for, before I started watching the show), who were Max’ costars in the three shows he is/was a regular in (Betty’s Diagnose, Der Letzte Bulle, and Schloss Einstein). Having them all be policemen in scenes together would have been the greatest thing.

#my german TV stuff #pity Eder and Kurz were bad guys (and Kurz didn't survive)#and I wasn't too keen on the personal aspects of Bob's character #cheating is never good and the women he was with were... weird - I didn't like them at all #but he canonically IS the police president in munich now #he could (and damn well should!) appear in more episodes #betty's character is in prison but not completely gone #there's still the possibility to bring Max in...#whoop there it is again - the point where I NEED my German show with all the cool people #or Rick to gueststar on HuS and Bob to gueststar on Betty's Diagnose #what I also need is the full DVD set of Tramitz & Friends #apparently he and Helmfried originated their characters there #and apparently Annett was on an episode too #and of course so was Rick - there's the 'godfather' clip with them going through all kinds of dialects #there is a DVD box but it's hella expensive (only used versions available)#I want a cheaper one! (NEED really)#odo's log #hubert und staller #why is the movie the only thing I can watch on Prime for free?!#give me all the episodes dammit!
