Happyhoganon: If Supes soon after go to the United Nations and faced judgement for his crime, on killing Joker, but not before announcing his retirement from heroism, do you think the UN will condemn Kal-El to the Phantom Zone, a red sun radiation filled prison cell or might they just let the Man of Steel off the hook this time?

Most of the people in the UN would probably be kind of cool with Superman killing the Joker. Most of the DCU would be kind of OK with the Joker being killed, frankly. Superman would probably want to be sent to the Phantom Zone, and Batman would probably talk him out of it.

Killing the Joker would be something most of the world would be kind of on board with. Most of the world agrees he’s pretty much the biggest piece of shit in existence.

But, I’m gonna go with what I think Joker actually deserves. Not execution for his crimes, because that’s too easy. Nope. Imprison the Joker in an actual prison. Solitary confinement for life. No appeals. No visitors. No contact with other inmates. Just 3 hots and a cot for the rest of his natural life. And make sure he dies of old age. If he attempts suicide, bean bag him into unconsciousness, and then strap him to a table and feeding tube him. Make him live his whole life alone. No tv. No books. No letters from fans. Just a plain orange jumpsuit with some numbers on the chest, and some slippers without shoe laces. No torture. No therapy. Just 3 hot meals a day and an empty room with a toilet and a bed.

Oh, and no fanfare at the beginning. None of the Bat-Family is involved. The Commissioner doesn’t show. An Assistant DA just sits down in a room and refers to him as “Fleck-Comma-Arthur-Jay” and calmly tells him that the state has decided to forgo the expense of a trial and that he has been remanded to the Florence Supermax Facility with prejudice, effective immediately. Then, they just pick him up and stuff him into a holding cell and drop him off and put him in his new home.
