I started mini-ing the DK neon pastel gradient mini sets first thing this morning while listening to A Discovery Of Witches. I've read the books before, loved them, and got an urge to listen to the audiobooks while I work. I'm struggling to fit in book reading now, it used to be what I did on the bus commute to and from work. As I no longer have said commute in my life, I've somehow neglected to assign any of my free time to reading 🤷‍♀️ I was managing some in bed every night, but then Final Fantasy X on my Switch took over that slot 😂 Any book with witches, vampires, fae (you get the idea) is 100% up my alley 🥰 Especially if there's romance involved. (There simply must be romance involved!!). These sets are very limited as I only dyed one skein of each colour (13 colours) as an experiment WAY before Christmas. Time for a keeping it real messy background selfie! This is real life 🥳 You can't tell, but my hair is tied up in a ponytail. Alright, it's a messy one, but WOW 😱 Nearly eight months of growth from being shaved almost to my scalp, I can't believe this is where I'm at?! In the past, I'd have been to the hairdressers every six weeks to get it restyled as it grew out, and it seemed like it took forever. Because it did. Because we were *cutting it off*, every single time. I've decided this colourway will celebrate my very last day in my office job. Hola my pocket friends! 😘 Much working going on this weekend, while I immerse myself in more audiobooks. I tried with them over the last couple of years, and didn't get very far, but I've totally clicked with them now 🥳 Which is ace, as reading has fallen off my cycle of activities for the moment 📖 As has knitting and crochet - my head is SWIMMING with possibilities and ideas and new WIPs and existing WIPs, but it's all a bit overwhelming so I've shelved it all for now, preferring cross stitch and spinning if I'm going to craft 🤷‍♀️❤️ I've been 'indulging' in things that aren't good for me, mind body or soul, over the last couple of weeks, so February will be my fresh slate. Daily meditation and keto eating will be back on the menu! 🥳 Keto really calms my sensitive brain, and meditation helps me accept all things as they are in the moment - blissful peaceful acceptance. So I've realised I 100% forgot to post any pics of the Christmustard stitch marker and needleminder bundle! Including this little sparkly resin butterfly beauty... Fully made from scratch by me with UV resin, I decided to see what these little nail art charms would look like in a '3D' cabochon! 🤩 Yes, I did make spares 🦋 Yes, I will list them soon (I'm setting aside some time tomorrow to do some stitch marker listings), these will be £7 each. Did you know I do minis of all of my colourways? 🥳🌈 Available in 10g (£2.50) and 20g (£4.00) Superwash BFL, in 4ply and DK. I primarily use BFL because is it *simply beautiful* wool, and is a British breed 👌🇬🇧 It's strong, doesn't need the addition of nylon for socks or garments, and has a really lovely lustre which makes it look like it has a touch of silk in it. These are some of the minis I shipped out recently, and I have about a thousand more to do this weekend 😆😁🙌 I dye a full skein of the colourway, then reskein into minis as required using my two swifts (one has a digital counter on it - before I owned that, I used to make them on my niddy noddy!), so at any point in time I have 20-30 colourways in various stages of use in my minis boxes. Re my earlier post, I decided to get my Bert: Magical Mustard socks out tonight!
