Man, sure makes me want to engage with fandom when I feel like people are going to be looking at everything I make with a magnifying glass to make sure that it's 100% canon accurate (or fandom agreed accurate) and never deviates from it.

The Owl House's Ending Anniversary...

So it's officially been one whole year since The Owl House ended.

One year ago, I wondered how I would move on. How I would keep going. But I also knew I would, no matter what, because time keeps going on. Things will eventually pass, they always do, that's how so many moments and days for me have gone. Even entire periods of my life.

So I'm not surprised how things have gone on since then; I still had plenty more things to say about TOH, and I still love it just as I have. I've gotten new hyperfixations, and even returned to old ones as some of you can see with recent posts, so it's only a matter of time before TOH circles back again.

And man does it feel so slow, only to feel so brief, it really feels like this anniversary has snuck up on and surprised me! And once again, we have some other, appropriate event lined up; A solar eclipse on this anniversary! Luckily there's no sigils nor coven heads gathered to make me worry. But dang, it was raining in Connecticut when Luz returned there, and it was the rebirth of Jesus when Luz was resurrected.

Makes me wonder if anyone of the Boiling Isles, justifiably, has had PTSD from solar eclipses, and dreaded any that showed up, despite knowing it couldn't happen again. People must've held their breaths the entire time during the first eclipse, panicked at even the slightest fatigue, and then it passed and they realized it really was impermanent and over. And that there was another step towards moving on, which I guess I can relate to now, though this is something I'm much less happy to see gone.

I think a lot about how TOH has influenced both me and my writing, how I approach characters and stories now. I've found myself gravitating more and more towards personal, character-driven stories and situations now. I still have a bit of a taste for grander-scale stuff, but TOH was special for me in that it feels like the first time I really got and understood a show and its characters from the ground-up as I experienced it all in real time. The first time I truly grasped themes and character arcs and could make reasoned predictions based on those, some of which came true! It really feels like THE big start of my media literacy in a way?

It's been fun looking back at TOH as a 'whole' work more or less to reevaluate, and learning other things behind-the-scenes about the show. We've had a few more livestreams and stuff confirmed. Dana's done more drawings, including on her Patreon.

I haven't been writing as much TOH stuff lately, and tbf I've already said soooo much. I might have other, new things to say later down the line, and I do have a few thoughts I've written in notes that maybe could be fully-fledged posts in their own right. I've found comparisons to protagonists of other media, like Miles Morales, or Arin from Ninjago.

The Owl House still is and will probably always be something truly special to me; It feels like my first real fandom experience. My first time understanding and learning a show, appreciating it as it develops and even as I speculate. It broadened my tastes and horizons, my ability to participate with others in stuff.

I miss it; I miss new episodes, new developments. I'm still agonized over things that could've been, things I would've loved to see more of. I'm apprehensive over whether we'll get that Raeda prequel because I don't wanna get my hopes up. Plus Dana needs a well-deserved break and is trying and experimenting with new, different things. And I get that.

It's bittersweet, it's scary, it's freeing, it's sad, it's happy. I've gone so far, this show and fandom has gone so far. And it'll keep going, it has to, time keeps marching on. Luz had to lose her father Manny, process that, but still keep going and must be surprised looking back how much she's adjusted since then, how much she's still grown and gained and learned, while still holding him dear; The same applies for the Titan and the magic she once wielded. With grief and acceptance being a core theme in this show, I'm not surprised that it prepped up the viewers to do the same, and now we have.

And you know what? I'm gonna keep going on, like Luz Noceda, possibly my favorite protagonist of all time, one of the greats and a huge inspiration now for how I really want to write and focus on my own protagonists, too. I'm gonna keep doing this like it never ended. The rate and frequency might fluctuate, but every now and then I'll have things to say, and stuff to drop by and check, such as with the tag and the occasional trending post, others' reblogs, and so forth.

So again, thanks to Dana and the crew. Thanks to Luz Noceda, Eda Clawthorne, King Clawthorne, and the other many, many characters! Luz's story is one where it feels like the show really is about her at its core and wraps around to her, and I want to do a story one day that accomplishes the same feeling. And as I see how Dana has been inspired by past influences, I can't help but look forward to future generations and stories that will themselves have been inspired by The Owl House, I know I've been already, retroactively applying it to things that were already fairly compatible to begin with, and really needed the fresh breath of new inspiration.

I'm repeating a lot of the same things I've said last year. Will I say the same stuff another whole year from now? I'll see. But until next time... BBBBYYYYYYEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

If you're in the RainCode community you can target anyone, but as you know, my main targets are Yuma and Makoto. If they're also your faves and who you decide to use, that will make me extra happy!

Some tips for anyone new to drawing a sick day scenario art. A few things that make it look convincing are the following:

Pajamas or Loungewear

Messy Bed Hair

Fever flushed face w sweat or at least a red nose

Tired Eye bags

Shivery body

Ice Pack or a Compress on the head

Thermometer sticking from their mouth

LOTS OF BLANKETS

Tissues or medicine surrounding them

Tea or Soup (or both)

Those are just to name some from the top of my head. If you'd like some pointers on how to make a character look ill, check out my Fever Coloring Guide. This is for digital artists but traditional artists can try it too!

You can add injury or angst to the scene but I'd like illness to be the main focus of it.

The scene can be anything you want to, it can be fluffy and wholesome (with a caretaker) it can be angsty, or it can be silly. Its all up to you! Do it for the sake of fluff! Caretaking scenes are the best for any kind of relationship >w<

Either way, have fun with it!! I look forward to see what people make if they decide to give it a try! It doesn't even have to be a full on picture! Doodles and sketches are fine too! Just show me something >w<

I used to host two Secret Santa events on the Sony Sketch Amino, where my ocs starred as the host of those events and got their special little designs and such. it was really fun... maybe there will be a third secret santa perrin in the future........

i also wanna show you these art i made for the event. the characters beside perrin are part of his #awesome gang called the pinwheel quintet

~ 2020 - 2021 ~ Thieves are coming to town!!!

March 2020 Perrin was a hallmark in his design history i think because for starters, I finally cracked the code on his design and how I want to draw him!

If you had paid attention to how his hair was drawn, which is completely understandable if you didn't its ok, he has always had a tuff of hair that completely sticks out. sadly, i dont think this was ever obvious to people given how it blends in way too easily when it's positioned towards the right, so i moved it towards the left to make it pop out a little.

his hair has always been a bit inconsistently drawn throughout the years, but i think after this you will notice that i start styling it very consistently because i started finally *getting it* around this time.

hopefully this makes it better for people to understand. listen. i had to suffer drawing those early designs so you guys still sit and listen to me complain about a 12 year old's shitty character design.

along with a new design for Perrin, Kirbypeater also makes a comeback after being shafted for almost 4 years!!

I mainly picked him back off from his mid 2015 design, but made some refinements and changed the direction of his tuff of hair lol. I also made him a separate character from perrin kinda. he's a bit more child-like and friendlier than the human perrin.

2020 also brings two new awesome AUs onto the table!! The first one being based off of Persona 5, where the Pinwheel Quintet becomes Phantom Thieves and such. This was made for an art challenge in Sony Sketch Amino and I did a whole fanfic for it but it's really bad.. I'm not showing you.

All I can tell about the story is I think i turned evil or something and their superpowers got taken away, so now they gain the persona powers and shit and they have to steal my heart to turn me good again.

Second au is also from a Sony Sketch Amino art challenge. Created by the same friend that made that one reference sheet of underswap sans lol (hi yan) and the story was co-written by meeee!!

This challenge revolves around a detective mystery, where the participants are given the plot and a prompt per week, each week the story updates giving them more details on the mystery and they eventually have to find out the perpetrator of the crime and stuff.

The story i think goes that a rich ass woman invites people to her party to see her awesome shiny diamond and so people come and then uh oh! the diamond's gone!! so then the detective (yan's oc) goes up to you like ur gonna investigate this with meee and then they do that and a bunch of stuff happens and oh my god peater's the thief all along?!?!?!? holy shit!!!

that story was so fun to make though. so then we made it into an au and i think my friend is making that story into a visual novel game!! so excited!! woohoo!!!!

heavily deviating from the usual striped sweater, i completely abandoned the original story i wrote for him and wrote a different one, so that's why he looks really different.

oh yeah, i completely forgot to mention the cheeks on the ref before this. that was added as a little nod to him being heavily inspired by chara undertale back then. check chara's design they have pink cheeks :)

i think he was supposed to be a bounty hunter or something iunno that whole thing was also scrapped.

also i added his 7th birthday design on there because it kinda kicks ass.....

~ 2021 - 2022 ~ The AU Era

look I'm gonna be frank with you guys, I don't think this era was exactly my proudest. I think it's because the more we approach the present, this is gonna be the thing closest to the current me. you can kinda excuse all the other embarassing stuff from the earlier ones because i was young but honestly i dont like looking at this stuff sometimes 😭

but it's okay!!! this era is super cringe but it's time to fucking ball!!!

this one was just me refining the prev design a bit more. i think i might added too much detail though. also he looks really fruity here which is just really funny to look back on now

speaking of fruity, some of you might've noticed that he also went by any pronouns in this ref and the prev. this was sorta something randomly added that gets retconned later on. (he does by he/him only now.) this doesn't mean he's cis though. he could be trans? or a third mysterious thing? who knows.

also! the introduction of peater piper!! his pipe weapon!!! it is the most powerful pipe to ever touch fiction. i felt like the baton thing wasn't anything significant enough + severe downgrade from the sword so i changed it to a pipe. feels like it fits his sewer rat vibe.

i think this stage was just particularly experimentative, going in very strange directions that i dont usually take so you're gonna see a lot of strange characters popping up now.

awright!!! let's tackle these three now!!

Swap Perrin - So you remember the Lu guy i mentioned during the christmas part? Well i made a funny swap au once and peater gets swapped roles with Lu! he is acoustic and likes hamsters.

Harlequin Rabbit - There's a lot of drawings i made of him but this is the only bareable one i can find. this bastard is a fucking god of the rabbits or some shit and he can travel through worlds but he's a FUCKING ASSHOLE and a FUCKING LOSER and EVERYPERRIN BULLIES HIM!!! I ALSO HATE HIM!!!!!

SpaceBun - This cute motherfucker is from a story that Lu imagines in his funny little brain of his where he's an awesome bunny space ranger and perrin is like, his love interest character kind of. she kinda has godly powers? she's a sweetheart. i love her. you should love her too. (also by far the hardest to draw and color in my drawing because she actually doesn't have a real reference sheet.

Roboperry - Not actually an AU, but they kinda snuck in there as part of the perrin group through a simple doodle i made. A friend became REALLY obsessed with it and now it's part of my story along with normal Perrin. They're a sweet little idol robot that loves Perrin very much <3

YanLu Perrin - AU where Lu is a yandere that wants to GET PERRIN!! honestly this guy's just a blank slate, wow, almost like senpai from yandere simulator, which this was based off of!!

P5PT - He's back!! with a fresh look!! Lookin' cool, Perrin.

OmorPea - yeah.

Demon AU - Based off of this vietdrama i saw of a group of witches living in the human world and terrorizing their neighbors with their magical powers. This instead is Perrin being a demon and terrorizing the neighborhood by being fucking evil.

AstroDome AU - AU where Audie (the yellow they) is a sad starving child that tries to sleep off their pain by being in their dream world. Perrin in the dreamworld is one half of a powerful crow god and he is a fucking bastard!!!

MM AU - Also new design!! He's not seen above but I do wanna talk about his character a bit. He grew up in a poor family and due to a series of unfortunate events, had to abandon his family and live on his own, deciding to become a thief to survive. Though he didn't want to live like this, he gets extremely good at his job and becomes an infamous thief in the cities. I think this AU was part of the reason why i got really into lupin iii later on

All of these Perrins were in like a Perrinverse situation where they interacted with each other and I drew a shit ton of art for them. All of these AUs, aside from Masquerade Mystery, AstroDome, Roboperry are now defunct and not being used sadly. It was fun while it lasted.

~ 2024 ~ Now?

Okay, last one to go through.

This one really got slapped with the Monkey Punch art style lmao. Not to say that's a bad thing, he looks pretty awesome. It was honestly really hard to draw him right in my new style, it took quite a while to get used to it but it was all worth it!!!

Will there be a couple more changes to his design in the future? maaaaybe.. But I'm happy with how he is now, the previous design got way too out of hand with the details.

With this post approaching its end, I wanna say to Perrin: I'm deeply sorry that I couldn't care for you well enough these recent years!!! I am very occupied with current projects, and while I'm unable to care for you now, you are more than just a character, you are an intergral part of my life and I will never forget that. With you reaching 10 years of age now, I promise that one day through these next 10 years that I will come back to you again with even more energy and passion that I had in the past. But for now, have this post and the drawing as a present from me to you :)

3. a character that fandom has helped you appreciate

any woman characters in anything tbh. this is in part due to how underrepresented women are in media, and i will also freely admit to being slightly influenced by the misogyny in our society and in fandom spaces, but i never really paid that much attention to female characters until i started actively participating in fandom. i do hope that i've gotten over that flaw in my perception, and will keep getting over it as my understanding of people and my characterisation in my own writing improves and develops

5. something you see in fics a lot and love

for hamilton - the very popular idea that ham is afraid of storms. i don't care that it's overdone or whatever, i love me some good anxiety and ptsd and i love me some good ham angst. for mcyt - i haven't actually read mcyt fics in a while, but i love the idea that all the life people remember every game across servers. it has soo much potential for angst in my opinion

7. your favourite tropes to read/write/draw

ohh man. hurt/comfort is everything to me, specifically the kind where one character cries in front of the other. hurt no comfort is also great, and there's also a specific one that i'll try to sum up in a concise way - character suffering in silence while everyone around them slowly begins to notice that something's wrong, all eventually culminating in them having some kind of breakdown in front of all these people in which the extent of their misery is revealed. this one's all i need in my life tbh, i wish there were more fics with this scenario

10. a blog (mutual or one you follow) that has made your fandom experience brighter

well. i confess that you came to mind first. like, your fics? i've been afraid to read some of them because i know that i'll get destroyed (/pos). the founding fucks? i have so much fun there. i'll admit that i'm rather lonely and coming off a messy friend-divorce, so having people to talk to and have fun with and be inspired by has been quite great. also you're just so nice? and you introduced me to 1776? and whump: the musical has done wonders for my creativity, i've had so much fun coming up with all the prompts and writing them, and it's kind of made me realise - i can write whatever i want. like, it doesn't have to be a long multiple k words fic, or have a whole story - i can literally write one specific scene. i can write for fun, fully, without worrying about my perfectionism kicking me in the ass. which, my perfectionism does tend to lead to masterpieces, but not everything has to be a masterpiece, and whump: the musical has played a big role in me realising that. so, uh, yeah!! thank you so much for brightening my fandom experience!

well, to be honest, this changes - whoever i'm hyperfixating on at the time makes me smile. but some of my favourite characters are 1776 adams, ham, hewlett in turn, and also watching a mcyt's new video never fails to make me smile

it's provided me an outlet for my creativity and a place i can go when real life gets to be too much. additionally, my special interest is humans and their emotions, personalities, particularly their misery - so fandom plays right into that. and also some experiences i've had with certain people while part of fandom have taught me a lot about friendship, people pleasing, trusting people and learning how to interact with people in general. and while those experiences did hurt, i'm ultimately grateful for the stronger and better person i've become as a result

Broken Parts - literally have been working on this since the beginning of 2022 (🫠hdjdjdjf don’t have much to show for it but still). It’s my baby bc it’s my first big au fic like ever and it’s a rollercoaster for me bc I still don’t know the entire plot 😂. But I love it bc I like my writing in this and worldbuilding is so fuvking fun.

All Wrapped Up In One- this is here bc it’s pure fluff and it was probably my most popular commented fic ever. I was really happy people felt warm and safe reading it bc it felt like that writing it. It made me wanna write more soft stuff like this.

How Beautiful it is to be Loved - when I get fixated on a couple in a show it’s hard to write ab anything else, so I was really excited when I wrote this because I felt like I was able to do some Justice for other characters in the series as well.

My Heart Hasn’t Felt Like Mine in a Long Time but the Closest it’s felt is in Your Hands- I love writing kid Theo and hfjfjfjf I still like reading this fic and I was pretty proud when I posted it bc my writing was starting to look like stuff I liked to read. Also this is my first part of my chimera pack series and I’m happy how it started. Also writing Theo kinda really helped me fall back in love with writing again.

While we understand that Adventure has a big fanbase and there may be a lot of content about them, we also want to see more variations and that’s why we hope the fans from non-Adventure universe can participate with contents related to them.

Q: I want to write about Tamers and Cyber Sleuth on the first day then. Can I do it? A: Mate, you can write about them every single day of the week and we won’t even complain. We love you. Keep it going.

Q: I’m not a writer nor a digital artist. Can I still participate? A: Yes!

Q: What kind of content I can submit then? A: We accept any type of content possible. Fiction, edits/graphics, gifs, fanart/drawing, fanvideo, moodboard, metas, headcanons, fanmix/playlist, cosplay, meme, even recipes (anyone wants to share Guilmon’s bread recipe?) as long as they’re in line with the prompt.

Q: I’m not great at fiction. Can I write metas instead? A: Yes! Even when you don’t feel like writing a wall of text, there are sub-prompts in the form of questions which you can just answer shortly and concisely. 

Q: So what’s this prompt and sub-prompt thing? A: While there will be no limitation on universe and characters/pairs, there will be prompts to spark some ideas. Each day will have a main prompt, which is abstract in nature and can be interpreted in many ways as you like it. In addition to that, for those of you in need of more specific guidance, we will also provide optional sub-prompts each day in the form of questions which you can answer. Participants may opt to answer one (or all) questions, or even make new questions as long as they are still in line with the main prompt that day.

Q: Does this mean I cannot submit contents that include romantic shipping? A: Yes, you can! After all, what is the world without some love?

Q: Okay, but I can still submit content without any kind of shipping, right? A: Yes, you can too!

Q: I have an OC in the Digimon-verse. Can I write about it? A: Yes! That’s why on our sub-prompts you will see us writing a lot of “(favourite) characters” because it doesn’t have to be about our favourite characters. It can be about YOUR own characters.

Q: I don’t love the prompts so much. Do you have an alternative prompts list? A: Unfortunately no. We have tried our best to curate some prompts that should be applicable to all, but we understand that there will be participants who don't feel comfortable about them. You can just skip the day and jump in when you feel okay with the prompt.

Witchy Wishlist 2020 2021

This is my second year participating in @witchywishlists, but it doesn’t look like the account is active this year.

With so many in need of money (such as myself), I’m keeping most of this really inexpensive to free.

For physical items, I live in the US.

Coffee/Tea Mugs: my hope is to replace all the mugs lost in a fire in 2017. I had over a dozen, but many of them were destroyed. Funny, unique, weird, touristy, I welcome them all. Old, new, doesn’t matter so long as they can survive the dishwasher. I drink tea all day when the weather is chilly.

Quilting Fabric: I’m a quilter, and like 99.9% of other quilters, I collect and hoard fabric. My goal is to have a fat quarter (FQ) from every state (a signature fabric. Nebraska has a lot of corn and football, Florida has pink flamingos, Hawaii has big flowers I need more of) and every country. More is better! I eventually wanna create a quilt using all of these. I may never be able to travel, but I can have a piece of every place.

Hilarious Memes: I love dumb jokes. Dad jokes, puns, the works. I wanna stupid laugh and roll my eyes at the same time. Tag me when you see a funny meme you think I ought to see. I may not reblog it, but I may queue it to share the glory.

Comments: If you have an AO3 account, enjoy fanfiction, and/or love Dragon Age, I have an AO3 account that would love some comments. Keyboard smash is valid! A lot of my work is smutty...like, really smutty, but I do have fluff, angst, and humor. My work is 90% canon; I fill in the space left for the player.

Fanfiction: I need some new Dragon Age fanfiction. I like sticking with canon or close enough, and love in-character smut. Avvar-Cullen is fun (if I had the energy to write my version, he would be more of the Lead Hunter than the Thane), as is modern AU, and a few non-canon that feel very plausible. Stuff I don’t like is constant-angst (we deserve happy endings), most rare pairs (ask if curious. it has a lot to do with power dynamics.), r*pe/non-con/sexu*l assault, crossovers (think Sailor Moon meets DBZ), and changing the sexual orientation/identification LGBT+ characters (like making Dorian straight).

Fanfiction/fanart for me: I haven’t done much writing due to low motivation and not being able to sit at my PC for more than maybe 30 minutes at a time. I want to see more stories of my characters, but I just don’t have that drive to write. Call a love and need for validation. Receiving fics and art of my characters ALWAYS results in me writing. Every single time. I normally commission 2-3 artists this time of year, but this year it’s just not something I can afford. Make sure to tag me, and if you post it on AO3 mark it as a gift for me and AO3 will alert me. I will reblog the stuff you make and write if you post them here and tag me! Smut is absolutely welcome! Join Swap-Bot/Sendsomething/Postcrossing: A lot of us feel lonely and disconnected, desperate for human contact. We can’t get that right now, but we can get pretty damn close and for free. Swap-Bot is my favorite; there you can join groups of people with similar interests...and send things to each other. Think trade, but with damn near anything. Postcards, art projects, stories, scrapbooking, drawing, there’s something for everyone. SendSomething is more one-on-one and no trades are needed. You can find a random profile and send a postcard, letter, small gift, whatever you think they’ll like. Postcrossing is strictly postcards, but you can contact people and see about trades and being penpals. It’s worldwide (I’ve gotten postcards from Russia, Hong Kong, Russia, Germany, South Africa, and many other countries) and you also have the option of just sending and receiving from within you country. This helps the USPS, break from the loneliness, and improve a stranger’s day.

Amazon: It’s evil, I know, but some things simply aren’t affordable nor available elsewhere. I have a wishlist set up, and it’s both interesting and predictable. I can’t afford to spend money on myself for more than the necessities right now, and the most frivolous thing I can afford to buy is thread, but I’m waiting for a big sale at Joann Fabrics so I can order curbside pickup. Making quilts uses a lot of thread!

Buy my work: I’m a quilter and have a habit of making things because I can. The results in losing closet space. Please consider purchasing my work or commissioning me (emergency commissions are currently open to help pay off Jasper’s huge vet bill). You’ll be supporting a Disabled queer artist and crafter, and a small business. All items are one-of-a-kind (OOAK), handmade, and with proper care they’ll survive generations. Get vaccinated: If you care about the rest of us, get vaccinated. You’ll be protecting yourself and those around you. Millions of us have compromised immune systems (I have asthma, epilepsy, and a few autoimmune disorders), cannot be vaccinated because of this (I’m lucky and was able to get the vaccine and booster shot), and will die if we become sick with covid-19. Don’t be a plague rat; get the vaccine, wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status, and wash your hands.

Book recommendations: I’m a picky science fiction and fantasy reader. My favs are Mark Chardbourne, Kevin J. Anderson, Brian Herbert, Kage Baker, Pamela Freeman, Sarah J. Maas, Garth Nix, Brandon Sanderson...and I have a few others, but if you’re familiar with the storytelling these writers have, you’ll know what to recommend. I don’t use an e-reader because I need the texture and smell of paper to focus on the book.

Quilt Books/Patterns: I have quite a few books and patterns on my Amazon list, but if you wanna ask me what I have in order to buy it from a different shop, feel free to do so. I favor foundation paper piecing and traditional piecing and haven’t delved into applique yet. English paper piecing isn’t one that interests me at all. I’m subscribed to several quilting magazines and bounce around online to purchase patterns from specific designers. Quilt shops sell patterns, and if you’d like to see me make a thing with specific fabric, send me an ask with a picture of the pattern to see if I’m even interested. You’ll then need to purchase the fabric to go with the pattern, and the pattern will have the amount necessary. If still unsure, ask one of the people working there. Nearly everyone who works in quilt shops is a quilter. Quilt shops are locally owned and have high quality fabric, big chains like Joann Fabrics tend to have people who may only be vaguely familiar with sewing and lower quality fabric. Never buy batiks from Joann Fabrics; they cost the same as quilt shop quality but are absolutely crap by comparison.

Ask me stuff about quilting: I’m happy to answer! I love talking shop, and the only places I can do so are online and in quilt shops because I don’t know any locals nor do I have any local friends. Going out and meeting people is a life-or-death decisions now.

Now you see, I’ve forgot so much of my childhood it’s kinda funny. But I guess one of the main things I remember is just like. Idk. The subtle activities. & even though it’s really not the same thing, I think writing the fic came naturally cause I can kinda relate to the fact of falling out of a religion? In a way? Idk I really don’t remember much. Sometimes I feel like it’s cheating to say I was fully raised Jewish when I can only really remember 3-4 distinct memories from that part. Yet somehow I think I was still able to draw from some life knowledge? But I truly don’t want to like. Misconstrue anything. I’m not Jewish now & coupled with the fact that I don’t remember much, I felt a bit out of place writing with without as much insight & research as possible. So the article you sent me was really helpful. I also looked through a few other Jewish history in Tulsa articles, as well as just. 60’s Jewish history in general? I’ve never been to a bar/bat mitzvah myself or actively participated in any Jewish holidays/traditions besides Hanukah but that’s still a blur lmao. So idk I did a good bit of reason on the traditions & norms for that. How it works in more detail & furthering my knowledge on where those things come from. As far as writing the Pony & Randy of it all, you were very helpful with insight on that. It’s a ship I’ve never written or thought too much about it before so being able to explore it in a way that wasn’t just a fluff with, a fic with more background, was pretty fun. I really like Randy as a character & I’m excited to be able to expand on him more if I make the part 2 (which I hope to). & then maybe see exactly how pathetic they are & how both of them managed to hang onto their religions through the years. Especially considering the ties to both their parents. Randy struggling to stay with it by his fathers pressure & Pony because his internal pressure to not lose the last bits of his mom. So yeah. It was really fun to write & research. Educate myself while indulging in a new favorite hc (thank you deeply btw). But with that being said, I couldn’t have done it without you. & now this sounds like an Oscar speech or something #wrap it up Cas but truly thank you, you did inspire me a lot & im so very glad it was well received. Hello and welcome to the fifth HXH BIG BANG!

We’re bringing back the event by popular demand, so let’s welcome 2020 with the good ol hxhbb

*WHAT IS THE BIG BANG?*

~there are several variations but traditionally a big bang is when an author writes a larger fic while an artist creates a work of art (or multiple) for them. This will result in an influx of new works for the hxh Fandom to enjoy and as an added bonus, it will encourage collaboration between Fandom writers and artists.

*SO HOW WILL THIS WORK?*

~authors will sign up to write a fic, and once the writer has an idea of what they want to do they will submit a summary of their story. Artists will then be able to claim the fic they want based on a blind summary (so make them good, writers!). From that point the writers will be given a deadline to finish their larger work and then the artists will be able to make their accompanying piece.

*SO WHAT ARE THE RULES?*

*FOR AUTHORS*

~stories must be a min of 5,000 words in length. The max is 50,000 words. ~content will not be restricted. You may write gen, het, slash, or any combination thereof; AU’S and crossovers are welcome; any rating (not too explicit), pairing, tense, pov, voice are also allowed. Authors this is your time to shine, so enjoy and write something you’ve always wanted to (within reason)!

~we will contact you if there is a problem, and advise you along the way  ~a summary of your fic is due February 29th. You will need to have enough of a solid idea to state your rating, possible length, as well as any possible triggers or pairings. Please refrain from wildly changing your summary or the idea of your fic mid-way. ~you may use a WIP so long as it has never been accessible outside of this challenge. No submitting a chapter of a work you’ve already posted somewhere, now. Stories must be complete, new, and proofread. ~you may write in collaboration if you would like to do so! ~you will be matched with an artist based (only) on the summary of your completed story. LOOKING FOR A LONG TERM RP PARTNER

Hey! My name is Kia, female she/her pronouns and over 18, and I’m actually pretty new to roleplaying. I’ve only been doing it for a few months now, but don’t let that dissuade you from rping with me! I’m trying to improve, you know the saying, practice makes perfect.

About me and how I roleplay

I live in the EST timezone and I’m generally pretty open for the day to respond. Sometimes may be busy, but I’ll respond as soon as I can.

I’ve only used Discord to rp before, but I’m willing to do email or Google docs if you would prefer that. However, I would rather use Discord or Tumblr Messenger for OOC

That being said, I’m totally game for OOC talks! I love spazzing over our characters and anything that happens. Sending music or drawings, I’m about it. I’m hoping to make some friendships out of this too.

I roleplay in 3rd person and length doesn’t really matter to me. A few paragraphs to a few one liners is cool, especially if our characters are talking. All I’m asking for is some effort and I will readily do the same.

I like having a huge over arching plot, but have some subplots going on. Normally because I think up a lot of little ideas for things that can be explored on their own. 

I like to either double or have one main pairing and then have some side characters, just to help keep things interesting. I’ll play as many characters as we need, I like to explore multiple characters. My characters are usually poc and lgbtq+.

Looking to have F/F as a main paring, any other relationships can be whatever ship that happens. While I may or may not make sexual innuendos and stuff like that, I do not rp actual smut, I will only do fade to black. 

I rp original characters. While I prefer to do original plots and worldbuild, I also like to enter oc’s into fandom universes too. Canon characters can be side characters that appear or are mentioned every once in a while. Letting you know now, I don’t personally use face claims, I like to draw my oc’s since it’s normally rather difficult to find someone who looks like what I envisioned for my characters.

What I’m looking for in a partner

You have to be 18+, I just don’t feel comfortable rping with minors as an adult.

No ghosting! I understand life gets in the way sometimes and you may have to step back for a while. Just let me know real quick and I’ll understand. Or if you lose interest just tell me. I will try and let you know if I’m going to be busy for a while too.

Please participate in plotting and worldbuilding with me. It sucks whenever I feel like I’m the one putting in most of the effort. I like to create large worlds together and it’s rather difficult to do so on your own.

Please be able to reply at least once or twice a week. Sometimes responses take a while to craft, I’ve definitely needed a day or two to be able to think of what to write before. If you can respond multiple times a day, even better!

Be open to dark and mature themes. Violence, swearing, alcohol and drug use. I love angst so sometimes things happen. However, if you have any limits, don’t be afraid to tell me. I would never want to make you feel uncomfortable. I want this to be fun for the both of us.

Original Plots and Fandoms

As I said before, I’m super into original plots. I have a few plots in mind already, but if you have something you’d like to do too, let me know. For now I’ll keep the ideas pretty basic and explain in more detail when we start talking

Two witches are from another realm are raised on Earth as normal girls. A prophecy states that they are soulmates and are destined to put an end to an some evil that is waging a war in their home realm. Whether they are up for any of that or they just want to continue living their normal lives is anyone’s guess.

Two girls go on a cross continental drive searching for a guy that one girl thinks she’s in love with and the other is the guys younger sister. Over the course of their journey they find that they are slowly falling for each other. Spoiler alert, the guy is a douche that left them both behind at some point.

A group of youtubers meet and form a friendship, except for two of them. They don’t like each other and can always be found throwing shade at one another. But they have the same friends so they hang out and their subscribers like when they are together. Basically this explores the different type of relationships that form in the group, misunderstandings and drama. Over time the subscribers figure out the real reason the two don’t like each other. This could even be something even more than doubles.

I also have 3 Gods plots too, but I don’t feel like putting them down b/c this post is pretty long already I feel. If you wanna hear about those too, just message me about them. If enough people show interest about them I’ll make another post about them.

But yea, if you have any ideas or want to brainstorm different ones with me, I’m cool with that. I like are fantasy, historical, mythology (Egyptian and Greek specifically, but willing to learn about others), mafia/gang, science fiction (specially aliens and space), soulmates (that being said, I’m big on slow burn), angst, supernatural/paranormal, spies/assassins, superheroes. If I didn’t list something you’re interested in, then bring it up with me when you message me and we can talk about it.

Fandoms I’m interested in are Dragon Ball Z/Super, The Mummy, Avatar the Last Airbender, Vampire Academy, Uncharted, possibly Percy Jackson (haven’t read the books, so it wouldn’t have anything to do with those characters), MCU (I stopped watching after Black Panther because in my mind, everyone I love is still alive! Team Iron! Still salty about Civil War). So yea, willing to insert our characters into a pre existing plot line, make up a new plot but keeping it in the same universe. Canon characters can be side characters, I’m cool with that.

Questions for Fanfic Authors.

I answered these like... five years ago or so, but because the 6th anniversary of my first ever posted fanfic is coming up, so I thought I’d do this again just to see how far I’ve come over the years. It’s always nice to look back to see just how much you’ve changed and grown as a person.

1. Describe yourself how you would describe a character you’re introducing. The young woman was shorter than average with long, curly brunette hair and eyes that matched the color of warm sea water . Although plus sized, she was healthy and stout especially in her legs where her muscles were the most defined. She was indeed a beautiful young woman.

2. Is there any specific ritual you go through while/before/after your writing? Eh, not really. I usually just get an idea and run with to see where it goes. If I think it’s worth exploring, I’ll properly plan or whatever needs to be done to flesh it out. At most, I listen to some ambiance to keep my ADHD occupied.

3. What Is Your ABSOLUTE FAVORITE kind of fic to write? As some of you already know, my guilty pleasures are mpreg, sickfics, and angst. My newest one is A/B/O, but I’m very picky about how it’s written and I have yet to write anything with it (hint hint, wink wink). I also enjoy writing smut, but I don’t normally post it.

4. Are there any other fic writers you admire? If so, who and why? I have a few, but they’re all spread out between different fandoms.

5. How many words can you write if you sit down and concentrate intensely for an hour? It depends. It’s rare for me to be able to focus that long unless I’m in a hyper-focus. I think my record is around 3,000 or so.

6. First fic/pairing you wrote for? I first wrote for the Ianthony fandom and my first story was a Oneshot I called “Polar Bear Swimming.” My first multi-chaptered fic was also for the Ianthony fandom and it’s called “Miracle.” Both are almost six-years-old and I don’t recommend reading them if you want to keep your eyesight, but they’re still up if you’re a daredevil. Just read at your own risk.

7. Inspiration, Time, Or Motivation? Choose Two. Inspiration is usually never that big of an issue for me, so definitely time and motivation.

8. Why do you choose to write? It’s an escape from reality... and it’s just really fun to pair people together. It most likely will never happen in real life, but it sure is fun as hell to make it happen in works of fiction. I also can’t draw worth crap, so words had to do.

9. Do you have plans to write anything other than Fanfiction? I might at some point. I wanted to have a book published not fanfic related by the time I was 21, but I’m 24 now and it hasn’t happened yet. Maybe one day, but for now I’m pretty content with writing fanfic.

10. What inspires you the most? Anything can be inspiration for me.

11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing?  Most of the things I write and think about are pretty normal for shippers, but the non-trans mpreg and A/B/O is definitely weird to the average person so probably that.

12. Fic(s) that you wished you had written better. EVERYTHING on my Wattpad. Everything over there absolutely reeks of new shipper and first time writer, but I keep it up just as a reminder of how much I have improved over the years. If you check it out, please do so at your own risk.

13. Favorite fic from another author? I have different ones spread through different fandoms, so I guess I’ll just name one from each fandom I’ve participated in. Some of these are old, but they’re still great!

16.Do you have structured ideas of how your story is supposed to go, or make it up as you write? Normally, when I get an idea, I just throw it out on a word document. There’s no structure to it, it’s literal brain splatter. If I think it’s worth writing, I’ll then flesh it out to make it coherent. I used to do this only for my chaptered stories, but I now do this with my oneshots as well.

17. Would you describe yourself as a fast writer? Eh, it depends. Sometimes if I’m hyper-focused, I can usually type things out pretty fast, but more often than not, it takes a while.

18. How old were you when you first started writing? I wrote my first story on Microsoft Word 2003 when I was eight or nine-years-old. It was called The Little Ice Skater and it was just a poor retelling of the Disney movie Ice Princess and it was typed with caps lock on because I thought it looked cool.

19: Why did you start writing? I HATED reading stories because there would always be something about them that I wanted to change, so I guess my little 4th grade self just got tired of it and started making her own.

20. Four sentences from a work that you’re most proud of.

He’d known for years that Dan loved him no matter what, but what about his friends and coworkers? Would they have looked at him differently? Or would he even have any friends left at all? The answer seemed obvious now, but at the time he had been so unsure.

Daily-Fluff-Dose: Let the Fluff commence!

Hey! It’s your friendly neighbourhood enby, crawling out of the woodwork to invite everyone in the tua Fandom to participate in a little Fluff challenge I came up with!

How does it work?

I have little paper snippets with a. A ship and B. A fluff prompt (sometimes a one word prompt, sometimes a fluffy trope, it depends).

They are in two seperate boxes and each day, I will draw one paper snippet from each box and that will be the DFD for that day! (An example: Kliego - Movie Marathon).

Who can participate?

Everyone! I included every possible sibling ship (including poly ships!) so if something catches your attention, inspires you, feel free to participate!

You don’t have to be a writer to participate, you can do whatever! You can make a moodboard, write a poem, make fanart, make a playlist, however you think you could personally make that prompt your own and have fun while doing so!

Are there any rules?

None. I always get excited over ship weeks and stuff but always chicken out because there are either really rigid rules about what you can/can’t write or a really tight limit on words/when you have to submit your stuff.

Here that’s not the case.

You like a prompt but hate the pairing I drew? What about writing for a pairing you like that’s not in my box? I have every sib ship but no Eudora/Diego or Klave. Or maybe you ship Grace with someone and wanna write something for her? Do it! As long as you have fun, go ahead!

(Although I would recommend giving the ship I drew a chance, even if it’s a rarepair. You never know how much fun you could have exploring them!)

You like a few prompts but not all of them? There’s no obligation to do a prompt! Like I said, participate whenever you want to, I won’t come after you if you do one DFD and then lose interest.

Is there a time limit? Nope, no sir, not at all. Sure, there’s gonna a new prompt every day, so it would make sense to try and work on the prompt for that day - and maybe upload it on the next - but if you don’t have the time? Don’t have the motivation that day? Totally fine! You can fill the prompt a few days later, a week later, whenever and I would still be weeping from joy that you participated.

Any No-Gos?

Of course this challenge is mostly focusing on the fluff, but that doesn’t mean that you are not allowed to write about anything else, as long as the fluffy prompt is somehow involved!

If the prompt is cuddles and your mind goes to post sex cuddles, that’s cool. Or the prompt is First Date and the Date is full of disaster and miscommunication and Characters angsting that’s also fine! As long as it’s still somewhat fluffy and happy.

No restriction on which ships you can write for. Like I said, every prompt has an own ship but I know some people are fond of rare ones I haven’t included (Like, Patrick/Dave or even Five/Handler). If that what makes you happy, go for it!

How exactly do I participate?

Well, if you upload your work on here (or a link to your fic/Picture), you can tag it as DFD or Daily Fluff Dose! You can also tag me to make sure I see it and if you don’t mind, I would reblog it to gush over it.

Everything having to do with DFD - including new prompts - will be tagged as such so can find it more easily. If you have a question, feel free to ask!

Btw - if you are nervous about participating you can always submit stuff here and I could post it anonymously. If you want me to.

Last but maybe most important question:

When do we start?

I would like some feedback on that actually! There are 32 prompts total, so maybe it would make sense to start next month? But then again, no limits on when you fill the prompts so we could also start tomorrow!

☯ : Do you prefer to wing it or to plot things out first when it comes to longer threads? 

I think that always depends - but in general, I assume it tends to be good to at the very least have a starting point, so I guess that means plotting (to a degree, and not completely counting when stuff comes from memes because usually that takes care of a rough starting-point)? But when we do have a general ‘what we want to happen’, I think it’s nice to just let things happen as they do?

So, I guess a mix of both!

✎ : What is your favorite genre to write for in roleplay? 

I don’t know, actually! I’m absolutely incapable of putting stuff into genres, so I don’t know! I like when, somewhere in threads, people actually open up to one another, like, talk about past happenings or the likes. And I think a lot of my threads would go into the ‘casual’ or ‘fluff’ category so maybe that? But I have a lot of other threads I like or liked a lot too, so I don’t think I really have a favourite genre.

✉ : What’s your favorite genre to read in roleplay? 

I don’t really read that much specifically because of it being in a genre - if at all, I read RPs because they appear on my dash by being done by one of my mutuals with someone else!

✘ : Are there any genres you refuse to write for? 

Smut would be the first thing I can name here, since I simply don’t write that stuff. Outside of that, uh, I can’t think of anything immediately!

✪ : Do you use roleplay as a method to better your writing in some way? If so, what are you trying to improve on? 

I don’t actively think that I’m using it to better my writing, but I think upon repeating something again and again - which basically any RPer existing longer than a week does - it’s pretty much automatic that it also helps one to get better at it, so I sure hope that RPing does better my writing!

I can’t name anything in particular that I’m currently working on improving - I can say that I’m definitely interested in dash talk and all that stuff (you know, these fast-paced things that usually go back and forth quickly and die after a few hours or so) though I can’t quite see me actually trying to participate in it.

🎭 : Is roleplaying/writing a way to cope when things get rough irl? 

I like to live in the world of my RPs, of my characters, so yes in a way - but I don’t really think I’m coping with stuff. It’s just that I like to think myself into a different world, and yeah. I guess I’m just mostly ignoring RL as much as I can anyway, so there isn’t really much to cope?

⌘ : How much importance do you place real experience into the things you write/rp? 

Pfft, right, I could barely write about anything at all, then!

So, to actually answer this: Very little importance. I think as long as one can write it well, or imagine it, it isn’t important if they actually have experience in the area or not.

⚡ : What typically leads to inspiration for you when it comes to writing? 

Nothing in particular! Like, there was at least once recently a dream that inspired my for a wishlist thing on Moonshot (which I still wanna write some day, and I’m considering to make my next open on him be about the situation even if that doesn’t really mean it’s any more likely for me to be able to explore the situation but still), and movies or stories or pictures do inspire me for things too, but mostly I think it’s just my imagination and what ‘letting my characters run freely’ there brings up. Hard to explain!

✿ : What’s your stance on self-inserts? 

It feels a bit like a weird thing to me, and I don’t know if I quite entirely know all the specifics to the term. I’m not a fan of RPing with ‘real’ people anyway - be it from actual history, or politics or maybe stars or bands or whatever else exists as people RPing them - so I don’t think having someone put a FC around it changes that much?

If it’s a character they can simply connect to a lot, and maybe have some headcanons here and there that would also fit to themselves, that’s a totally different thing I think?

⌚ : When in the day do you feel you do your best writing? 

There isn’t really any specific time of day! I usually do most writing during the afternoon and evening, but that’s because it’s how my day is scheduled and not because I can write there best or anything.

♟ : Do you do any research when you roleplay? 

Number one - a lot of looking up of english words. There’s a reason why I basically always have a tab of a dictionary open.

And of course, if I’m to write like a poisoning or a certain area being wounded or a specific type of sickness, and if I haven’t researched anything to it or something similar before, I will try to look up a few things. It helps to get a better image of it, I think.

♞ : Which do you prefer, shorter or longer roleplay posts? 

I can’t really work with one-liners much, they often feel like no effort had been made, so, longer than that would be good. Outside of that, as long as there’s something I can work with, I think I don’t have much preference towards how long or short is it. Well, I mean, maybe a full-on novel or something would be a bit much as reply xD, but I assume that’s rather unlikely to happen anyway with how RP works.

Or if this is about the length of posts, I can only try to appeal to people again, to please cut their posts, and remove and ask from a continued thread. But I don’t think that that’s what the question is about, so I won’t say more on that here.

♥ : What kinds of characters are the most fun for you to write for? 

If you look at my muses, I guess the only answer I can give is: Aliens!

I don’t know, maybe that has to do with confidence. I have other characters too, but when considering to write them I tend to feel uncertain of if I can do certain things or if they work or would be interesting for others, so, I think that’s why my roster so far only exists of tamaraneans.

In general though, I think I tend to enjoy writing characters in a certain ‘good against evil’, or call it maybe action if you want, setting more than casual, everyday life ones, if that makes sense.

💔 : What kinds of characters do you have the most trouble writing for? 

First thing that comes to mind here, is ‘sexy’. Like, take Blackfire for example, if I wasn’t as much myself as I am, I bet I’d have her do or say a lot more ‘dirty’ or suggestive stuff. I just can’t write that, and that’s one of the reasons why every now and then I feel like I don’t do Blackfire justice at all.

➳ : When creating OCs, what do you typically start with first? (i.e. appearance, name, a theme, etc.) 

I think usually the rough ‘who’ comes first, as in what they do or are for? Like, that was the case with both Moonshot and Starlight, and, though I don’t think anyone actually knows of her since I only made like one post about her ever or so, Kahmlur. Also with most other (= non-tamaranean) OCs I’ve ever made I think. Usually first comes the rough idea, like said, and then I’ll work on details some more, like how I imagine their personality or behaviour. And usually by then already a image starts to form in my mind for their looks, which will then be the next thing to do. An actual detailed backstory usually only comes when I actually want to, like, write them on something public like here I think. Or when I happen to just be bored enough to write one.

Though of course, sometimes it can also happen that I play around in some character creator, and the result inspires me to do an OC out of that look.

♚ : What’s something you just can’t stand and will unfollow someone over? 

If it happens too much and too often, a dozen, especially when non-RP, posts almost at all the same time. I get it, they’re online at that moment and want to share stuff or something, but it’s just too much and frustrating to see other stuff through. So yes, if that happens too often, I might end up unfollowing.

🌟 : How do you usually like to start an interaction with someone new, or do you prefer to have them approach you? 

When I followed someone first, and they follow me back, I usually take an effort to make myself go to their IMs soon-ish (or asks or whatever if like their rules say they don’t want IMs, or the likes) and just greet them in some way. I try to lead that talk then towards something more, maybe plotting or a random starter or whatever, or at least to asking for how they prefer to start things.

As with those following me first, well, usually I kinda subconsciously wait for them to come to me first. Which… not always happens, and I think I should change that thinking anyway since I should just approach even if they were the first to follow if I want to interact with them too, but uh, that’s just what I do there without actually thinking much about it.

(And as for those I never become mutuals with - I usually don’t reach out there. I’m not confident enough to do that, so if I’m not ending up mutuals with someone, I’ll in 90% of the cases unfollow again once I realize it won’t happen, and the other 10% I’ll keep on my dash because I really like their content, even if it makes me sad that I won’t ever interact with them. And those that I never follow back, I hope I’m having it stated where I can clear enough that I’m still open to them approaching, though of course I have a right to say no in occasions.)

💕 : When it comes to shipping do you prefer to draw things out and let them develop slowly, or do you prefer to jump right into them and skip the developmental stage?

I love the interactions, the deepening of a connection, the admitting of secrets or talking about heavy topics of the past! Not that I have ever had those to write much, but I still love the idea, and so I think I can with rather good certainty say that I prefer the slow developing.

Sheith Positivity Week 2019 !!!

Howdy! As you can see by the title, Sheith Positivity Week for 2019 is up and running!!!

The major theme has been pre-decided ( crowd sourced!) and it will be “Just Sheith Things~” or otherwise, well, Sheith things! 

The date for the week is currently in decision mode. I’m trying to find the BEST week for everyone involved, so I think a poll on ‘months’ would be the best option- and then to narrow it down from there. After all I do want fan participation lol. 

What is Sheith Positivity Week?

Well, if you’re new here or just need a reminder:

Sheith Positivity Week of SPW, is an entire week dedicated to all things Positive Sheith! The week is themed (as seen above) and for a full week fans can participate and share their fresh new works with the community.

This year, the week is very open to interpretation. The prompt should be as non-specific as I could get them while still staying within the Sheith theme (that being Keith & Shiro as both individuals and as a couple). 

While the week is for Positive Sheith works, should you find the prompts inspiring you elsewhere then you're free to write/draw/animate/gif/edit to your hearts content. I only ask that things are tagged accordingly. (This also includes N SFW works)

The prompts for this years week have already been decided to create a quicker turn out period, lol. So here they are, up for YOUR consideration, with some gentle explanations for the prompts.

Monday, TBA: Rainbow / Monochrome

An easy first day, a big part of the theme this year is color, and as our favorite black and white duo- nothing fits better than these two!

Tuesday, TBA: Jackets / Gloves

Iconic gear, another easy prompt set but more specific for sheith.

Wednesday, TBA: Nicknames / Last names

A slightly more difficult prompt set. But still applies to the characters well, while still having room for interpretation.

Thursday, TBA: Sometimes / Always

This was a personal pick. A more difficult prompt set. The words feel very sheith and give room for either really happy content or really heart wrenching and then everything in between.

Friday, TBA: “It’s Killing Me When You’re Away” / “It’s Good To Be Back”

Two of the most iconic lines, said by one to the other. A more difficult prompt set meant to be an end of the week deal to give you time to think up ideas.

Saturday, TBA: Song Inspired Work

So!!!! Over the past few months I saw the Sheith Song List take off, and I found that many people have their own favorite song picks for Sheith. This prompt is a happy little nod to the community, so go wild! That song you always play your own mini animatic in your head to? Go for it. If you wanna make a sheith song, that works too! 

I only ask that you: Use a lyric from a song to Inspire, Title, of Quote in the work. So basically, if you write a fic insp by it, title it with the lyric/song or use it as a quote, if you draw use it as your caption title or again a quote. ETC. (this is just clarification, please feel free to use the prompt as you please)

HAPPY ONE YEAR WRITING A FUCKED UP NOT-A-ZOMBIE DUDE

I'm following suit and doing my own #FollowForever to celebrate my one year on this blog (Which actually was April 30th Oops!) Just wanted to take some time to appreciate my ride or dies and friends I've made over the course of this year. I'm so glad I made the choice to give Tumblr RP a chance because I've met so many fantastic people and inspiring writers. Overall this RPC is incredible and deserves all the positivity I can possibly fling at it. I can't believe there are 649 following this trash fire. Thank you all for the support!! Every single one of you liking threads, fics, participating in events, and sending in asks means the absolute world.

Just as you started with me, there's no one else I could have started with but you. I was so shocked by how instantly we connected. Even before we talked OOC our writing meshed together so flawlessly without any prior plotting or discussion. We've always been on the same wavelength to the point it's almost creepy and yet in the same breath, we can still inspire and surprise each other with new ideas and plots. I never expected to find a friendship like this in the RPC, and so quickly. We've said this before but you are a breath of fresh air into my life and the first person I've been able to bond with so closely in a long ass time. Grim, you inspire me not only in terms of writing but also in my day to day life.  I don't think you'll ever understand how much of a blessing you've been to me. You've given me the motivation to work harder, to constantly improve myself, and do better each and every day. You've empowered me to take control of my life and stop coasting through it mindlessly. Our relationship means so much to me and I gotta stop now or this whole post is going to end up being about how truly incredible you are. 🐱 ♥ 🐺

It was my first Follow Forever that actually got us talking and contrasting how we both played Brian! I'm never going to forget that moment when your incredibly talented self told me that you admired me – when I was the one admiring your work. It felt like I had been noticed by a celebrity honestly. It was insane. I'm so glad that its spawned a solid friendship where we can sit and talk about our OCs for hours on end just shooting the shit. I cannot wait to see where another year takes us.  God your art and writing ideas just take my breath away. It's honestly crazy to see how rapidly you keep improving. Just when I think your artwork can't get any better it does with the very next drawing or sketch and I have to pick my jaw up off the ground. Your artwork and headcanons made me feel so validated with my own (and I'm so glad to have someone else in Team Top Damien Bottom Brian – but you me and Grim go on about that for hours haha

Where would a Follow Forever list be without you? You've installed yourself as a centrepiece to this community from the get go. You've spent so much time and energy maintaining the Masterlist. You're constantly showering the dash with them positive vibes and reminders that the RPC tends to need more often than not. Not to mention your version of Scott is absolutely flawless. Brian and Scott have not gotten to interact as much as I would like but he will support him dating his purple eldritch daughter any day. One day our jobs will stop kicking our asses collectively and we'll be able to interact ahaha.

I also super miss your Liam and the 'dirty little secret' plot between Brian and Liam in their ship verse. Interactions with you are always so much fun to watch and take part in!

I don't think I have EVER seen a multimuse run so smoothly. You run the gold standard for multimuse blogs. How you keep interactions between all the muses even and active is just astounding and I only wish I had more energy to play with the ships we have concepts for because I love them all! Honestly, I do not know how you do it but other multimuse blogs should look to you as an example. You're so fun to chat and plot with or just talk stupid headcanons about their day to day. When things do go amiss in the plotting phase you are so easy to work with and have things rectified and it's never felt awkward or forced. I also LOVE that you indulge Grim and I with three-person threads! So many other people are scared of doing them, but I love that we can have our characters slip in and out of threads as they are needed. You're so accommodating and adaptable. I love it.  Thank you for putting up with my shit.

I think it's so rare and fantastic to see someone so invested in other people's storylines on the RPC – I think you were the Damien/Brian ship's original cheerleader on this blog and at some points Oz became the mouthpiece for what a lot of others in our captive audience were thinking at the time when Dame and Bri were torturing themselves. It's really good to see someone try to foster platonic connections and take part in being part of a cast of characters rather than the one on one stuff you see most often on the RPC. It's been cool to get to know you over the past year and here's to another year of fun times.
