It's sad that after all that's happened (and even after he said he'd rather die than turn to Zeus for help) Apollo still prays to his father first when faced with immediate danger
#episode [???] of me reading too much into throwaway lines like this#when he had the time to think who to turn to for help he obviously chose artemis#but in the spur of the moment he thought of his dad first and artemis second#it really shows how much he still looks for his father's support and help#it happens during his fight with python too#when he thinks about zeus blasting python with his bolt#though at that point the notion that zeus will never come to his aid and that he has to save himself finally cements into his psyche#so he gets over it. sort of#toa really punched our gut with the whole 'there are some relationships that can't be fixed' subplot#what a tragedy#lonely thoughts#trials of apollo#toa
