forgot that the sad parts of audiobooks will objectively take more time to listen to than it does to read them
#this isnt even abt anything contemporary but the lady knight audiobook. the bit after the siege on the refugee camp#when shes cataloging the dead and looking at every face and remembering smth abt them. that took like fr FORTY MINUTES#so my whole drive home i was like This Close#i dont remember it hitting me so hard when i was younger but i suppose i am getting soft in my old age#it was just the sheer numbers of it all....at least thirty people she named and thought about at LEAST. and the kids :(((((((#Can Read Very Fast problems i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#this is just like when i was like i cant sit through ten hours of sharper objects im just gonna read the book#and fr two hours later i felt like i had been put thru a pasta maker
