Stop I thought too long about the Cain & Benny/Colette & Andrea parallels and now I’m hurting. To be drawn to a calmer life by love, to choose to settle down with them, and then through loving them, damning them. Cutting down everything in your path to save the person you gave up killing for, only to get there too late. Only to deal the final blow yourself.

#like there’s difference in that Andrea was interested in uh. actually doing more murder when Benny was Not.#whereas Colette was pure casualty of a system Cain himself helped create (ie the knights he trained)#BUT. there’s enough there. enough that I think they would have some things to talk about.#also!!! insanely different results of these lives being torn away from them right?#Benny gets killed and stuck in perpetual violence to survive purgatory.
