#I sincerely do like almost all genres of music#(...I remain not sold on jazz generally)#but hot damn do I have a narrow and predictable Favorites window#which is sad but resigned soft/near-country love songs about women#this post brought to you by Spotify and myself both twigging to my unrealized Brandi Carlile thing#honorable mention to MUNA and Niall Horan#oh and Lady Gaga#and of course Girl Crush comma Mostly The Cover These Days#all of which stem probably from a childhood full of Townes Van Zandt#I mean strictly speaking that's probably the Second-Favorites window#I think the Favorites window is a bit wider lyrically although just as narrow genre-wise#that being angry or tragic melodic rock#anyway if anyone has sad melodic hip hop recs please send them my way#idk how common that is but#I know it exists I occasionally stumble across bits of it
