A bit of #gardening this morning... planted a “sculpturous basius” in front of #whirlyhq. After it’s stony root settles in, it sheds the woody leaf of its juvenile stage. Seventeen years ago or so, I started building a few larger-than-my-shop-would-allow pieces in the available center of this room. My friend, @lisaadamsphotography, allowed me to come and go with my portable tools as I had such #projects. Then I stayed, making this my only shop - so Lisa removed her storage bits and put in an office for me. I've built thousands of parts & pieces, shipped hundreds of projects around the world, worked with dozens of great #clients and stood alongside many wonderful #craftsmen in this space. In the past few months, I've sold, donated, gifted, recycled and trashed many a thing from this room. And now it's swept clean. For the first time, and the last, I get to see this space with nothing in it.
