first piece of lace-weight lace I've ever knit! my lovely lace!! 8 years I've been meaning to do it, and finally it's done. the cast-on (from the center) was as much of a situation as I expected, so the rest was nothing to me. knit in 19 days

reading artemis fowl (dune tolerance break) (it makes my face do this -_-) n 1 thing i realize is Extremely Vindicating abt jonathan stroud’s works is how he captures a certain type of charming dark-haired boy w/pinpoint accuracy. All his tall black-haired young men r charming and incredibly skilled at what they do but. And this is most Crucial thing. They have absolutely Zero good sense whatsoever. And this more than anything puts jstroud up there w/the greatest in understanding his characters. Lot of authors faced w/a tall dark-haired protag make him dorky AT BEST to make him human. Not jstroud. That man writes from real life. His charming tall dark-haired young men are business owners and politicians but they dont have the good sense of a flea
