I too have an @klipnockywoods hook. Unlike @txheritage, I hang nothing from it right now, as it’s purpose is to cover two screw holes in the wall, and I don’t have anything the right length to hang (there’s not much room beneath it.) It’s so pleasant to have unfilled drawer space. Cleaning off odds and ends from the #plate11 white oak design bench… and, magically, I have some place to put the things away. Much like my currently unreachable #atc tills, these drawers will be organized by common use (up at top) and a bit by size (the drawers are smaller at the top) but nothing more. I don’t need or want an elaborate system overall or for every drawer. Kieth Jarret Trio with the late Gary Peacock, and the incendiary Jack DeJohnette. I’ve been transcribing little bits of the intro to “All The Things You Are” from the “Tribute” album. Mr. Jarret suffered a pair of strokes lost significant function on his left side. Essentially, this groups work is done. This group started in 1983, and was perfectly timed to teach me what a trio can achieve. Lately, I’ve been doing some work that leaves space in my head to have music playing in the background. I’ve been working my way through their catalog again. This version of All The Things, especially the intro improvised by KJ, hits me so hard. It’s the kind of thing I recommend turned up to concert volume on your finest audio system.
