The queer comitte I created at my old school is surviving without me and most of the original "founders", but the new ppl have officially renamed it "the alphabet mafia" and Idk but that's homophobic to me

#Idk....... but smt about this just rubs me the wrong way!!!!#why would u name it that.....#They're taking away the political aspect of being queer and whitewashing it literally #erasing the lesbians involved with the aid crisis and making being queer a quirky funny cute thing that cishet can laugh at #making them think it's ok to not know the letters of the acronym and mock people who don't fit in the neat binary of gay and straight #anyways!!!!!!#I hate it #whitewashing in the sense that they are centering the white gay experience but like af
