THERE'S A LONELY EYES DIVORCE ARC??? HELLO???? PLEASE SAY MORE RIGHT NOW!!!!

so. i may have been a little late on "Right Now"

BUT. THE LONELY EYES DIVORCE ARC. To start things off: We have 4 players in this mess:

Jonah Magnus, James Stacey, Peter Dekker, and Elias Robinson.

During the time of "Jonah in James's Brain" (Pre-Elias) the two of them met Peter. Jonah falls head over heels, but James could not care less. But, he decides to string Peter along, well aware of how good a partner he could be. Jonah is blissfully unaware, assuming James is just as into Peter as he is.

After James's death and Jonah's move to Elias's brain, he realizes just how shit James *actually* was to Peter. He does a rather poor job explaining this to Peter (And may have a break down or two) and Peter ends up distancing himself from Jonah.

Soon after, Elias has to call Peter because "Jonah is Yearning SO MUCH I can't do my work. Come talk to him or something." Sometime after that they all get together in the world's funniest polycule.

So, before you've mentioned swapping Trevor and Julia with Daisy and Basira and I think it's an amazing idea.

Daisy and Basira get their hands on Michael the Skin Book out of police evidence and bargain with him for information. Michael is the one to request that they kidnap Sasha because he wants the chance to meet the new Archivist and also a chance to escape the book.

Daisy and Basira are both still cops but they're both Hunter's, although Basira has a bit more of a handle on it. Or maybe they become ex-cops and go off on their own to hunt down Avatars by themselves once they find Michael, which Michael accepts to on the condition that 1. Once he's taught them everything they release him and 2. They also burn books along the way. They do accept the second condition but they never get to the first condition, always claiming he's got more information than he does.

For Julia and Trevor, I think for most of the seasons, Julia is mostly unaligned (leaning towards Hunt but she's holding on with her last strands of common sense) while Trevor is a full Hunt Avatar. Once Trevor saved her, she helps him find and research people he suspects are Avatars. They travel around a bit and occasionally look up stuff in the Archives, leading to specifically Julia getting wrapped up in helping Sasha and Elias as things ramp up. Julia ends up signing into the Archives as an assistant while Trevor hunts down Avatars for them.

Then, the Unknowing Happens. And instead of Trevor going to the Unknowing, Julia goes with the reasoning being that one of the many jobs she worked at while moving around required her to learn how to use explosives. And since there's a swap between the Coffin and the Distortion, she ends up in the Spirals hallways.

While she's in there, she clings onto one thing like a life line: her bare bones connection to the Hunt. She uses every bit of energy to focus on Hunting down the exit. She may also have a trinket of some kind from Trevor that's Hunt aligned without anyone realizing. It's not a very powerful connection, but it's just enough to keep the Spiral from fully sinking in.

Once she gets rescued, instead of a physical recovery, it's a mental one. She has to both get used to reality again while also digging in her heels against falling into the Hunt, which is now much much harder after spending months clinging onto just that.

She eventually gives in while the Archives are being attacked like the end of season 4, while making Trevor promise to Hunt her down after all of this, because she doesn't want to fall to the Hunt, she wants to be a normal person, she doesn't want to be the murderer that all the tabloids claimed she'd become after her father's murder spree. Trevor, painfully, agrees.

From there, there's like at least 3 different ways that I can see all their dynamics playing out in season 5, but what do you think?

This is AMAZING. I've been struggling with figuring out WHAT to do with Trevor and Julia, but I think you've nailed it. I love this so much.

More discord brain rot!

Gerry being a soft sweater emo! He was ignorant to the Fears until he was sacrificed to the Buried! specifically the Coffin!

Like, Gerry is definitely linked to the Coffin but to move around, he just shows up out of piles of dirt. Suddenly, the potted plant in the corner of the office is up rooted and the pot shatters as an emo in a kitted sweater and the Coffin rise out of the dirt. Gives ominous warnings. Sinks back into the dirt.

The Archives just start keeping a dirt plot for Gerry so he stops breaking their pots. He doesn't actually need dirt, he just uses it so he can keep people off guard. If you're on the ground, you're fucked.

He always looks like he needs a 12 hour nap, instead of a bad hair dye job, his eye shadow just makes it look like he's got permanent eye bags. He can basically earth bend. Can and will make the ground beneath you turn to quicksand because Fuck You.

He's so scary but he's also just A Guy. 90% of the time he's kinda sad and chill emo Guy, but every now and then they get a Statement about him like "The ground was bound to his will. He didn't do anything but stare. His eye's pinned me with the weight of his stare. Like the world was on my shoulders and everyone knew it." And they look over and he's just chilling in the Archives knitting.

He doesn't actually know how to knit, but he's trying.

I have nothing to add to this, this is great. When I get the chance I'll try to make some doodles of these. Thanks for the ask!

I know you don't have the full show planned out, but could you summarize some of the major plot points that you're excited about that you do have planned out? Like, you don't have to go over anything major, but I'm wondering, is the Prentiss attack still Prentiss? Is it still an attack by the Corruption? What's going on?

The biggest plot point I'm SO hyped for is NotJon, Sasha, and Elias's confrontation. I have been working on a fic for this for literal months, it's been driving me up a WALL.

Because the thing is Elias is just connected to the eye enough to Tell something is Wrong, but he is also well aware he isn't strong enough to do anything useful about it. Only to be told by Sasha that she broke the thing binding the NotThem. Like, the chaos, the bullshit, the violence. 10/10. This scene is killing me I've been rotating it in my mind 24/7. I also think this scene is the thing that starts Elias Explaining what the fuck is going on to Sasha, and I think it's really cool to make the ball rolling.

I've thought a lot about it.

Anyway to answer your second question, I think I'm leaning to Jaded Prentiss Wrecking Shit. I wanna work on Jared's character in this au a bit more first, because the corruption is one of my favorite fears to explore, and I think he could be so interesting, I just need to figure out how I wanna poke at him.

That’s not something you should fault yourself for, of course, your father was always just a bit too scared to bring it up. After your brother’s…unfortunate death, he has been so very distant from you. Seeing the loss of such a precious thing as one’s own child is enough to leave a lasting mark on anyone, and poor Danny, his killer was never even brought to justice…

Because, if you ever find yourself curious as to what your brother’s killer looked like?
