going through my tag for fanart to save to my computer and I was reminded about one of the things I like least about the romance and about hc as a character and it's that he's always so...eager to please? this might sound like a weird complaint for a worshipper/god romance but it's honestly such a pet peeve when a character is trying to like be this flawless servant with all the information who can do anything at all times. I just think it's boring! And annoying. I liked him most when he was at his most genuine and self-conscious in the cave right before the confession scene, in all honesty

#altho this was a confession spurred on by outside forces it wasnt something that other characters literally had to spell out #after a godawful 'miscommunication' plot. so it IS superior to the one in mdzs #hc and xl were vibing the entire story they would have gotten there eventually #why did hc keep lying to him abt knowing him as wu ming tho. like he lied to xls face after being DIRECTLY asked #ugh i just wish itvwas a worship plot i would have liked it so much better #wasn't*#tgcf txp
