sorry but i hate how weird people are about disabled characters and making stories/aus where a character becomes disabled . why do you only ever want to include disability in your stories to use it for horror or angst fuel…. why cant disabled characters just exist without it being labelled as a tragedy

#sorry i just saw a really weird sonic au #and it reminded me of all the other times ive seen people be weird about the idea of sonic characters being/becoming disabled #why cant you just headcanon a character as disabled and be normal about it.#why is it always ''sonic loses his leg in a horrible accident and his life is RUINED FOREVER!!!!!''#and never ''sonic loses his leg in a horrible accident and while he does initially struggle with it since its a big change #he is eventually able to adjust to it and come to terms with it and live a happy life''#or even ''sonic was always disabled from the start there was no horrible accident''#why is it always the horror and gore and angst shit #and i LIKE horror. to be clear. just not when the fact that a disabled person exists is the part thats supposed to be scary #and i also just dont like most horror themed sonic content for reasons unrelated to the disability thing but thats a topic for another post
