END OF WAR IN BASEL

18 months after the troops of greater bavaria and rhine crossed the german borders by way for alsace, the king of germany has called for the withdrawal of troops from switzerland permanently. the german palace in conjunction with the swiss crown has issued a joint statement in lieu of the signing of the treaty of wiese — named after the river the separates switzerland and germany in basel — that includes the following highlights:

immediate withdrawal of any and all german military personnel in swiss soil

titles stripped from michelle soland (marchioness of basel, mother of the grand duke otto of rhine), and elias stolberg (duke of aargau)

as a gesture of goodwill, private property belonging to grand duchess wiebke wittlesbach and grand duke otto zielcke will not be seized.

it is believed that michelle soland has been exiled from swiss soil and is now currently residing in germany. the speed of negotiations surrounding the treaty is believed to have been caused by the movement of french troops through saarland and prussian troops in the north.

ELEANORA STOLBERG: DUCHESS OF AARGAU, MARCHIONESS OF BASEL, COUNTESS PALATINATE OF STOLBERG-ROSSLA, AND BARONESS VON SCHWARZA

following the exile of her father, eleanora stolberg has formally ascended to the role of duchess of aargau, as well as given the title of marchioness of basel. the title has been in the soland family since 1723 after the marriage of lady celia stolberg to lord nikolas soland. eleanora stolberg has been known to have a close relationship with the swiss crown, particularly king maximillian, and has publicly criticised her father's administration in squandering the region's once rich resources.

the new marchioness has vowed to uphold german and swiss relations even in the face of the prolonged conflict, and will continue to foster economic prosperity through further reform.

some mistakes are bigger than others. sometimes you turn your head for a moment and you have allowed something devastating to happen. picture this: you go fetch ten drinks for you and your closest friends. you’ve promised them a good time. they are all very fun people. you set the tray down for a moment and add just a sprinkle of extra magic. someone shouts your name. oh hi, it’s greg. he’s a champ. you exchange a few words with him. he makes you laugh and you turn back to your tray. only to realize that it’s gone !

now imagine this: you’ve been working for six hours in thirty degree heat. luckily the sun set hours ago. luckily you only have two hours left of your shift. it’s a bit over one am. your supervisor catches you slacking off and instead of staying around to hear him berate you, you snatch the closest tray of drinks and start going around. just two hours ! you can do this ! 

the tray is heavy but you know it won’t be for long. the first glass gets taken by a  blonde man with a permanent scowl on his face. you’ve heard that he’s hungarian. the second glass disappears right after. the japanese princess doesn’t say a thing but acknowledges you with a polite nod. that’s a first. you slow your steps when you come across a pair of smiling brunettes. two glasses disappear. ‘ gwen ’ and ‘ ana ‘ are gone from your field of vision in seconds. you get stopped by a stern looking man who grabs the fifth drink. you hear people whisper about him. apparently crown princes of norway are a hot commodity. 

the tray is half empty, you slow down: you aren’t getting paid enough to run around. ‘ is this non-alcoholic ? ’ someone asks you. you aren’t sure but nod anyways: if it’s not, they’ll find out soon enough. the sixth glass is taken by a blondie in a leopard dress. the next person comes quickly after her. you’re sure you hear her mutter something in spanish but you can’t be sure. the words don’t quite sound right.

you look at the three remaining glasses and choose to remain in one spot. like a silly furniture. two hands reach for the same glass, the fairer one flinches and moves onto another glass. the two women exchange a few words before both of them are off. you don’t know how big the difference in power between a grand duchess and a crown princess is but based on their outfits it’s remarkable. the last glass gets snatched by a woman in a hurry. she’s running after a man with a necklace... a boytoy necklace... you’ve really seen everything.

TL:DR: there’s 10 drinks with mdma in them and @lcvcntc, @fvmikc, @tywysoges-g, @anamariaabolivar, @krstoffcrs, @olimpiacroy, @matildcs, @wicbkc, @maitedobrasil & @helenadobrasil have them. up to you if they empty the glasses or give it away.

“What if we went back to Germany? Being here doesn’t seem to be doing y– us much good.” It felt like the only thing keeping Wiebke up was stress. Her anxiety was keeping Wiebke’s body full and functioning. He did not know what would happen if she stopped filling her days with work. “One week by Chiemsee. "At least it’s dry in here,” he grumbled more to himself than anyone else in the room.  His rib hurt from the prideful boot he had endured. It seemed his act of rebellion didn’t sit well with the men calling the shots. The savoring taste of freedom had long soured the moment he had been dragged from the woods. Despite his great efforts, there were far too many prowlers looking for two escapees. He hoped Klaus made it out when they spilt across the densely packed trees.

SWITZERLAND AT WAR?! 

TLDR: yes its started, max has been in bern for the past two-ish weeks figuring things out and basically ordered the troops to advance on the german forces in basel. klaus has been promoted to captain and is serving as sort of a liaison between the crown and the front (thread where max asks this of him incoming), so our beloved boxer/dj/prince is now on the road to war hero. more details to come but this news breaks monday feb 6

❛  i’m not sure if this is a stupid question or not,  ❜   he begins, pre-cursorily with a thoughtful press to his lips and flattened brows on his forehead. it isn’t a light statement, he has been thinking quite deeply about whether or not this latest calculation is in error; if there is something glaringly simple that his own healthy sense of precaution is preventing him from seeing that would inevitably be classified as, stupid.  better to ask for a bit of her grace beforehand, she can be prepared for potential stupidity.   ❛  but is his highness even capable of convincing his father of anything ?  and let’s say he does, what’s to say his majesty, hesse and thuringia even keep their word ? there’s nothing keeping them from pulling out like we did. we cannot exactly withdraw whatever the prince learns from his head. even if his burgeoning intellect is in our best interest.  ❜   the cost would be a devastating loss. faith in the crown’s principles would be what they have to rely on, and that is something kaspar does not have much of. wiebke has somewhat begun her part with the prince it will be his turn next and he doesn’t know what to do with him, all of his mentees in the past have arrived to him beautifully wrapped in accolades, a shrewd eye and an excellent attitude with a bow on top. /. @wicbkc​
