I met an old man in a barbershop in my hometown of Jefferson Georgia many many years ago he and another old man we’re discussing the true meaning of love and the meaning of life. I was sitting on the board lane across the arms of the barber chair lifted 1 foot above the actual seat getting a flat top haircut by directed of my father Luther Wilkes. “Bud” was the name of the barber. I don’t know if he is still with us but I remember that man so well. He said friendship is the meaning of a love that lasts a lifetime it’s more than that mooshy Gooshi stuff it’s more than the attraction or the butterflies it’s finding a friend in the woman that you are married to. A true friend the kind of friend that will tell you the truth even if it hurts but still love you and hold you during the pain. I have found that friend. As a creator a songwriter singer and beyond having that friend is imperative to the future of everything of me. The man that you’ll see the me that you will never see.
