Mother’s Day reflections with the Wisdom of Artemis Oracle🌙🏹

Card 16: FOUNDATION – Artemis Delia

For Mother’s Day I honour Leto, the exiled mother who, denied sanctuary again and again, finally found footing on the shifting island of Delos, where she gave birth to Artemis and Apollon. She’s a mother, yes, but she’s also the quiet force behind resilience, devotion, and grace under pressure.

Artemis Delia, meaning Artemis of Delos, carries the imprint of that sacred beginning. This card reminds us that the foundation of who we are is built through the defining moments that tested us, shaped us, and still hold us up.

When FOUNDATION appears, Artemis Delia calls us to honour the memories, beliefs, and lineages that remain steady throughout change. She asks us to reconnect with what grounds us, especially when the world feels uncertain.

Mother’s Day is a time to reflect on the people (mothers, guardians, ancestors, spirits) who stood firm for us when we could not. The ones who gave us steady support when everything else was unsteady.

Let this card be a quiet altar to Leto and to anyone who has ever held space for your becoming.
